Singer Akothee has been dominating media reports lately as she tries to make a change in the society.

It all started when she traveled to Turkana to help the residents there who were starving. The singer donated food and several tanks of water in an effort to help the community.

Akothee was recently forced to deny that she’s doing all these things as a soft campaign since she might be joining politics soon.

“I am not joining politics any time soon , but I believe its  my Responsibility as a citizen to participate in the wellbeing of my environment, if all of us had the same spirit of checking in our leaders, supporting them as we place our grievances, I believe there will be change, Imagine if we had the whole Nairobi come out today to clean and clear the sewage, ahead of the rains, we won’t have regrets when the heavy rains falls, but because we believe we voted someone in for that matter, that’s where we go wrong ,! Did we follow up ? Have we taken responsibility of our well being or our neighbors? ” Akothee said.

Change

She added that she’s just using her platform to make a change and believe Kenyans should do the same instead of waiting for things to happen then rush to social media to cry out.

“Our environment and economy ? Do we attend the public meetings or we watch TV at Homes and wait to scream on social media ? I think most of our leaders are approachable, and we can use this platform to bring change other than lamenting and cursing I BELIEVE IN CHANGE. It starts with you,” she said.

A whole company Managing Director (MD) was conned by someone who was impersonating Akothee. And the singer is pissed because the victim sullied her reputation.

There are like 20 parody accounts of Akothee on Instagram, the singer’s real account is not verified despite having over 1 million followers.

Unsuspecting victims have easily been conned by people pretending to be Akothee. A company MD sent Akothee’s impostor Kes 50,000 after having a conversation with them on Instagram.

Akothee was pissed after the woman who was conned soiled her good reputation saying she is a con artist. The MD thought she was conned by the real Akothee.

The singer made it clear that her real name is Esther Akoth Kokeyo and that anyone who sends her money and her real name doesn’t reflect should know they have been conned.

Most people know Akothee is in a relationship, but some people don’t. A man with a serious crush on the mother of five approached her with a marriage proposal.

The man who only goes by the name Odimathestar (Instagram name) sent Akothee a message telling her he wanted to marry her. He was sincere, he said he was broke but assured Akothee that his love for her was ‘rich’.

“@akotheekenya I don’t have money but I want to marry you how will get in touch, please I’m serious I have been crushing on you since 2015 my sweetheart im madly please accept me,” wrote Odimathestar.

False hope

Akothee replied telling the broke man to be patient, she told him to wait until 2020 when she will sell everything am move in with him.

The mother of five also told the man to continue using the drug he was high on, she further said that she would join the man to smoke whatever weed he was smoking.

While some musicians claim presenters and DJs are to be blamed for impeding the growth of Kenyan music, Akothee says it’s the same presenters and DJs who held her hands and helped become who she is today.

The controversial songbird says Mzazi Willy M Tuva discovered her while he had gone for Mseto tour in Rongo. She first reveals that Mzazi helped her organized her first media tour in Tanzania.

“I released my first single in 2014 , I dint know anything about airplay, I was just having fun, I organised a show with afew djs I knew already @kaytrixx_ke was very supportive then, when I released my second single Pashe I met @mzaziwillytuva in Rongo when he had come for mseto East Africa in Rongo university, I played the song for him and he was like when you come to nairobi make sure you come to club tribeka, so we clicked from there, the only presenter I knew was @mzaziwillytuva , I was very ambituos, so I asked him to organise for me a media tour in tanzania, and because I dint have a manager I asked him to come witt me , then I did my first media tour with only 2 songs in tanzania, East Africa Tv, @skytanzania and @djtass treated me well, climbing the ladder I kept relationship with everyone I was introduced too by @mzaziwillytuva , he invited me to campus tour which made me realise my potential,” said Akothee.

Have personal touch with your business

Akothee also sent a message to fellow musicians whining about presenters and DJs not doing enough to push Kenyan music. She says that musicians need to developed a close relationship with presenters and DJ so they can come in handy when organizing music projects like media tours, concerts which all aim at promoting Kenyan music.

“We Kenyan artists must learn the industry and how to live with people on this streets, have personal touch with your business, I organise my own media tour I call presenters and djs personally before the manager comes in, its my shit its my business,” wrote Akothee.

Two bright boys from Kajiado are unsure of their future in as far as joining high school is concerned, all because they lack school fees.

The plight of Gabriel Miseda Ogweno and Julius Taiko was highlighted by Daily Nation, Gabriel emerged third in Kajiado county with 440 marks while Julius scored 372.

Julius was abandoned by his mother at a tender age, his foster parent can’t manage to pay for his school fees. Gabriel is supposed to join Maranda High School in Bondo but his parent can’t afford the fees.

A call for action

Akothee was touched by the boys’ plea for help and she decided to call on fellow celebrities to assist her send the boys to high school.

Akothee is already paying school fees for several other needy children. In November 2018, she flew top KCPE pupils to Malindi for holiday.

Akothee now wants call celebs to chip in to help pay school fees for the two boys from Kajiado.

Akothee has never been shy to talk about matters sex with her three daughters, the topic is usually a taboo to most parents in typical African families.

Akothee got her first baby at the age of 14, and by 16 she had already delivered three kids. All this while she was staying at her in-law’s house where she also served as a househelp for 7 long years.

The controversial singer raised her daughters on her own after breaking up with her first husband, this explains why is free to talk with her girls about anything.

Boyfriends

On Thursday Akothee shared an old photo she posed with her three daughters – Vesha Shailan Okello, Celly Rue Brown, Fancy Makadia.

She told her daughters to tell boys who are seducing them to get tested, she further warned them that the boys only wanted to knock them up.

About two weeks ago, Akothee sounded the alarm after her menses delayed. This after having unprotected sex with Nelly Oaks (presumably).

The controversial singer said her periods had delayed with three days. She vowed to use condom the next time she has sexual intercourse.

“God help me ooh. Three days my periods are not coming. Next time I will use protection. God of Nebuchadnezzar do your miracles, I promise next time I will teach him how to put on condoms,” wrote Akothee.

Pregnant or not pregnant?

Akothee refused to reveal whether she finally got her periods or not when a fan confronted her on Instagram about the issue.

The mother of five said she would only talk about the issue in June 2019 when nine months elapse. (human gestation period)

“Mbona una haraka kama mtu anaoga nje? 9 months is in june so wait,” Akothee responded to a fan who asked her whether she was pregnant.

Akothee lost her grandfather a year ago on November 23rd. The singer took to social media to narrate how she is still devastated by the loss of her grandfather.

“November 23rd was the darkest moment in my life , I could not imagine my grandfarher exchanging his name from Ogendi James to body , ” ero wadhi omo body !” wao wao wao , this thing has never left me normal ! the gap is too big , my grandma calls me even in the middle of the night , I know she is lonley , Nyogoro alemoni mama ” thats all she can say , I love you grandpa R.I.P , anyuol nyathi achaki wuora My love for you will never change osiepna,” wrote Akothee.

I still laugh like you

Akothee also opened up about how she was so close with her late grandfather who encouraged her to be a musician when all her family members were opposed to the idea.

The singer recounted how she used to laugh so hard with her late granny, she reveals that her grandfather protected her and offered her valuable advice.

Akothee might be pregnant with baby number six, or it could as well be false alarm. The singer had unprotected sex and now she fears she could have conceived.

For starters, Akothee is a mother of five children -three girls and two boys. She was expecting her sixth and seventh children but she lost her twins in a tragic accident in Switzerland in October 2016.

Will use a condom next time

The mother of five is currently in a relationship with her manager Nelson Oyugi alias Nelly Oaks. Akothee posted a video of herself begging God to save her from getting pregnant.
