Betty Kyalo rewarded with sweet Pokot name after interviewing West Pokot Governor Lonyangapuo

Betty Kyalo will be having West Pokot Governor, John Lonyangapuo, on her next show “Up Close With Betty’.

Taking to social media, Kyalo confirmed that was given a Pokot name after the candid interview with the popular county head.

“My new Pokot name Asis Sotin Cheporwala (Sun) given by the people and the good Governor John Lonyangapuo. Good morning,” she wrote on her social media.

Betty also added that the governor has a very warm personality.

“For real, he is hilarious! Such an amazing leader. Enjoying the shoot. You guys will love it!” she said. 

As expected, Kenyans warned Betty not to marry the governor.

“We will be happy if you accept to be the second lady of our governor,” one user wrote.

“Betty I hope that’s not dowry being presented at the back,” said another. 

“Betty, you should get married now. The clock is really ticking. I am single and looking. That said, being a second wife is not a good idea. It’s like having a car spare tire.”

TV news anchor Betty Kyalo has dated several well-known people. This has not been a good experience for the mother of one.

She has now vowed never to fall for a public figure because it comes with a huge price. Speaking with Jalang’o, Kyalo, who has just turned 30, she confessed that dating a celeb comes with a huge set of drama and she’s not ready to entertain all that.

“I’m happy financially, and the other thing is I said I don’t want to date anyone who is in the public limelight, again,” she said.

Bad encounters

We all know how her relationship with Dennis Okari turned out a few years ago. And when she later moved on to Joho, things switched to worse. So maybe she has a reason for saying all that.

Citizen TV grabs yet another news anchor from struggling TV stations, poaches Mashirima Kapombe

Lately, TV stations have been struggling to break even as competition stiffens. In the process, one TV station has been winning big: Citizen TV.

Royal Media Services has been poaching presenters and employees left right and center from other TV station as they continue to grow their brand.

NTV has been affected more as most if not all anchors are now at Citizen. It seems KTN is also heading on the same patch after Citizen TV managed to convince Swahili news anchor Mashirima Kapombe to join their team.

Mashirima moved from NTV to KTN in 2013 after a three-year stint the media house. It’s not yet clear whether what her role at Citizen TV will be but she might be among the once listed to replace Kanze Dena.

 

Betty Bayo reveals why she still can’t watch Mohammed Ali’s exposé on her ex husband Victor Kanyari’s scandal

Mohammed Ali and John Allan Namu’s exposé revealed how Kanyari was savage in milking the public dry. The preacher’s ex wife Betty Bayo however hasn’t watched the investigative to date.

Ali’s 2014 exposé basically illustrates how Kanyari performed fake miracles and made faithful send him money. Betty Bayo left her husband shortly after the investigative was dropped.

The gospel singer opened up about her ex husband in an interview with SDE. Bayo reveals that she has never watched the investigative and that she wasn’t shocked by what her husband was doing.

“There was a power blackout in my home on that day. And I did not watch it. Still haven’t. I deserve to save my data bundles for things that entertain me. And this is in the least bit not entertaining. Why would I watch it? I already know what was on it because everyone told me about it. And it is a sad story,” said Betty Bayo.

Co-parenting

Bayo also reveals that she is co-parenting with Kanyari even though they haven’t met for the last two years. She however asserts that her ex husband has a good relationship with their two children.

“I haven’t seen him for the last two years. But our children, aged two and five, have a good relationship with him. We have an arrangement that works for us. While I have my personal feelings about him and what our relationship was like, his children don’t have to know or be affected by that,” says Betty.

Renowned gospel singer Betty Bayo has opened up about her life with Kayari years after breaking up. The two apparently had a bitter ending after the lady realized that her husband had been running a false ministry.

Betty Bayo then walked out and maintained her silence for months despite the media wanting to hear her side of the story.

But thanks to a recent interview done by Jeremy Damaris; a presenter on a US based TV station (Kikuyu Diaspora), Betty Bayo opened up about her life revealing some details we knew nothing about.

When asked whether she stuck around with the husband after he was exposed she said,

“At first I was so wounded with the whole issue, and as you know, no one would want to be in that situation where everyone is looking at you as a bad person, but sometimes God uses such situations so that other people can learn from your issue.”

Was her career affected by the scandal

According to Betty Bayo, she did not let the stories get in her head. She moved on with her life without focusing on what was going on around her. Her career also had to continue growing in order to provide for her family.

“I have never missed any performance even after the incident. Can you imagine how hard it was? The whole world knew what was happening, but you still have to compose yourself and rise above that situation and face it no matter what. It was not easy. What I can say so far about my family is that it is at flight mode.”

Would she take Pastor Kanyari back?

When asked if she would she take him back if he ever changed, the lady said;

“I don’t think I would go back to him but that is a topic not to be discussed. But if you ask me about music, I would answer but not anything about my family because I am living and enjoying everything in God.”

Motherhood must be the best experience any woman will ever have and Betty Bayo knows this very well. The 11th hour hit maker has a daughter with pastor Kanyari and after their divorce the singer welcomed another child with an unknown fella.

So far it has been two years since Betty Bayo welcomed her son and she is thankful for the experience. On Monday 27th November the young man turned 2 years since his birth. And expected his mother had to celebrate him on her social media pages.

Through her Instagram page, Betty shared an adorable photo which she captioned saying;

Happy birthday Son your now 2yrs … mummy Loves you .to moon and back your a gift from God ..i love the way mi hufunga mlango to take a nap during the day ..naskia uki knock knock . Saying ..”mummy ,mummy , bettyayo wake up Danny loves you “… ..

In yet another post she talks about how she has been looking for a man to settle down with only to end up with none. She is however proud to have a son who she will mentor to grow up to a fine young man. She wrote saying;

“Happy birthday to me and my adorable son … the last thing I wanted was to bring you and your sister out of the family setup. If you want you can call me a strong woman .. I have been single looking for a man .. I have been married trying to keep a man. And now dating a man ..and finally, a mother trying to raise a man … your not only blessed with a hardworking mum but also an intercessor who always there interceding for your life … I have learned very important lessons in life through the hard way … above all what a mighty God we serve,”

Well the two dated for a while before welcoming a baby girl. However, their relationship did not last for long as the two split after Kanyari was exposed for being a conman robbing people through his church.

Controversial Pastor Kanyari’s marriage fell apart a few years ago after he was exposed for being a fraud. His ex wife, Betty Bayo walked out of their marriage and went on to add that she was never married to the fella.

A few months after their ‘divorce’ Betty Bayo announced that she was expecting her second child. This left many speculating as to whether the baby was Pastor Kanyari’s.

The pastor however came out to deny being responsible for the pregnancy. Kanyari went on to make it public that his ex wife had moved on way before announcing her divorce with the man of God.

The singer then threw her baby at the Well of Worship Centre in Massachusetts, USA. After pulling this move, most of her fans were convinced that she was definitely involved with a white man.

Her son

Unlike what many thought, Betty Bayo’s son is not Caucasian. He is a handsome African boy with a little swag judging from his hair do.

His mother introduced him on her Instagram page for the first time where she shared his photos and wrote saying:

“First time on instagram ..big up son …much love,”
