There is hope at the end of the tunnel after a Nairobi court this morning ordered the DPP, DCI and the media to stay away from interfering with the pending DJ Evolve-Babu Owino case that has been a matter of public interest.
This comes just weeks after DJ Evolve was discharged from hospital before the media reached out to him to get his side of the story, that only opened doors for interested parties to come in and mess up the facts to the story.
On this note, Wednesday, July 8, the court forbade the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the media from engaging in talks regards the Babu Owino-DJ Evolve case.

Further stating that come August 11, the matter will be mentioned to establish whether DJ Evolve has since been in a position to record a statement.
However, Babu Owino was not a satisfied man after stating – through his lawyer Cliff Ombeta – before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, that the DPP has been exceeding his limits.
This is after the DPP allegedly incited Embakasi East residents and other willing Kenyans to come out in a bit to oust him from his parliamentarian seat.

A blanket of grief engulfed the entertainment fraternity in Kenya as creatives and family paid their last respects to young comedian, Kasee following his untimely death.
A death that was surrounded by unclear circumstances and one that left the Kenyan mass questioning the truth behind Joseph Musyoki Kivindu’s death.
Well, patience was called for, as further investigations by Government chemist were sought after the earlier postmortem failed to give conclusive results.
Fortunately or unfortunately, autopsy results are finally out, with Chairman of Comedians in Kenya, Ken Waudo, shockingly revealing that the late Kasee was poisoned to death.
The final results of postmortem conducted on the late comedian indicate that he had drank from a poisoned chalice.
In as much as alcoholism was cited as one of the major causes of his death, it is sad to note that someone took advantage of that and poisoned a dear Kasee to his grave.

This has now forced the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to try and negotiate with the city hospital to wave the body preservation charges piled on the heavily pregnant singer to allow her some sanity.
In a letter addressed to the CEO of KNH, the DCI penned:
We hereby request that you consider waiving the body storage charges resulting from the retention of the body as a result of a request by the Nigerian High Commission to have time to consult the deceased’s brother in Nigeria.

She went ahead to term this as “invasion of privacy” after individuals went ahead to download, screen record and even take screenshots of the virtual house tour.

According to Zeddy, one Victor Ber is the main reason most comedians have been dying in poverty. The lass exposed Victor Ber for firing some of the new faces that brought laughter on the show; replacing them with those that obeyed and followed his rules.

She termed her firing as an unprecedented and unplanned-for event that put more pressure on her as her children’s sole breadwinner.
However, the current Covid-19 pandemic has shown a side of the media industry that no Kenyan let alone media professional ever foresaw. But it has been done and masses have been sent home with a tomorrow that remains unknown.
Speaking from experience, Terryanne has admitted:
The feelings can be very intense, and confusing. The shock, betrayal, anger and even denial very quickly toss us into a world that’s constantly spiraling.
She has decided to give a message of hope and a foundation to stand on, to her now-affected colleagues. These are the key lessons her job loss has since taught her over the years:
1. Take control of your budget
This translates into accounting for every activity that compells you to dive into your pocket. Right from food, to transport, to rent and even entertainment and luxuries that are not a must-do. Have your budget at your finger tips!
2. Down-size
Having gone through your budget, Terryanne believes all non-essentials should be out. Whether it is your customary drinking or eating out, moving to a cheaper house…name it!
But it will save you a lot if you first share this with your family and explain why it has to happen.
3. Restructure your debt
For cases of bank loans, set an appointment with your bank immediately and ask to set up a payment plan.
For those that you owe, give them a heads-up of your current situation but never go silent on them, if anything, keep in touch because communication changes everything.
4. Health insurance/Savings
At the least, ensure you have a health cover for your family, just in case things turn out for the worst.
However, soon as money starts flowing in, structure a savings or pension plan as this inculcates in you, financial discipline.
5. Re-write your own strategic plan
Sit down and make a projection of who you want to be in the next 5-10 years. Evaluate your career, what you are good at and start working on it immediately as you do some job hunting.
Question is: What can you do to generate income?
6. Update and clean up your CV on online presence
Good example being on LinkedIn. Terryanne believes this is the perfect time to work on your CV, touch it up and let recruiters know you are open for hiring.
Meanwhile, as you wait, work on trends in your industry to ensure you stay afloat in your professional line and to remain visible.
7. Network with industry peers
For this, reach out to influential people in your career line, attend webinars, online forums, prepare prior to the session and make sure you have one or two questions to raise because this sets you apart and shows you are engaged.
8. Build your personal brand
What do people think about you? Are you visible? Reliable? This should be a great time to work on and build your personal brand and stay up-to-date with trends in your industry.
9. Get physically active
Just like the title suggests, remain physically fit because this not only improves your brain health but your memory as well. Start slow and get better with time. The trick is to start.
10. Tell your story
Lastly, it is vital to open up, tell the truth, give your story as it is, no matter how uncomfortable it may get, the truth should be told. Tell it as many times as you can so that in the end, you can tell it well and comfortably.

According to him, his son got to listen to his mum’s side of the story; which of course did not favor him.
When parents separate, make sure your kids are not on one side, that they are being fed information about you by the other party. So when these kids grow up and even become stars, things will be said about you, when you want to go back to them.

Popular comedian and radio personality, Jalang’o sparked online uproar on Monday morning after he failed to show up for the Morning Kiss show alongside Kamene Goro.
This is after he went public last week to affirm to Kenyans that come Monday morning, he would be back on air, but this time replacing Andrew Kibe at Kiss FM.

This, bubbly radio Queen, Kamene Goro revealed after fans persistently demanded an answer as to why Jalang’o had seemingly lied to Kenyans.

Mike Sonko has not been getting any sleep for the past few days; and word has it that this is because government agencies have been looking into his assets.
So far the Assets Recovery Agency (ARA) have been investigating how the governor spent Sh500 million between August 2017 and December 2019.
His spokesman Ben Mulwa recently confirmed that Sonko’s office in Upper Hill was recently raided by officers looking for unknown information; however since they did not have a search warrant, they were denied access!

Of course with trouble attacking him from all angles, Sonko have found himself battling a case of Insomnia as he probably fears ending up in court; or worse in jail if the stories circulating around assets are true.
On Monday morning around 3am, Sonko left some of his Facebook followers asking questions after he shared a post asking for prayers.

In February 2020 Governor Mike Sonko suffered a blow after the High Court froze his 10 accounts. According to reports the accounts allegedly hold over Ksh 18 million believed to have been stolen from the county.

Just so you know, they have a kids’ sitting room which is entirely separate to the other 3 adults’ living room, if I may say. Well, this just got lit as the family also houses a home library.
Their parents’ bedroom is in what she termed an attic which is a room partly inside the roof of a building and projected to the outside.
In this case, the Kubai’s bedroom completely houses a kitchen, an office, 2 balconies and everything else an “ordinary” room in that house boasts of.

The family has two house managers who have their own quarters. And there is also a guest room, which is self explanatory.
Well, turns out there is a lift that exclusively goes to their parents’ room which is on the second floor.
They have a fountain to the outside and sitting areas for luxury and fresh air, but there is a gazebo in the home’s garden where guests and their parents pass time often.
Lastly…they have a gym that they literally don’t use because no one is just up for it. Yah, I know!

Recalling that fateful day, the TV beauty revealed it was about 2pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, when her boss called her into the office and informed her of the restructuring exercise.
Remember, at the time, she was busy preparing for her Citizen TV evening show, The Business Centre. But viewers had just been robbed of the chance to ever see Terryanne on their screens during the Business segment.
In a matter of minutes I had lost a very well paying and prestigious job as a TV host in the country’s leading media house. As a sole breadwinner, I was completely anxious about the future. I was scared!
