Well, according to Kamene her colleague Kibe is just a good friend that always leaves her happy; and judging from the few photos the two share on their pages…..it’s evident that ‘happy’ is not the only glue holding this friendship.

Speaking of post-partum, the young sassy singer confessed that pregnancy was not easy for her, sending her into depression and forcing her to take a break.

I got depressed after giving birth and I felt like I was under a lot of pressure. I most definitely needed a break. It gave me time to make new friends. I even met the man of my dreams there and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fortunately, the break bore good fruits, seeing her successfully give birth, nurture her child and in the process, meet her better half with whom they celebrate at least 8 months since tying the knot.

Club Covid’s Xtian Dela killed on social media

Social media personality Aurther Mandela also known as Xtian Dela was yesterday reported dead on Facebook; something that left most of his fans worried.

As seen on the post shared widely on Facebook by a lady identified as Affroz Meher, Xtian Dela apparently fell down and was rushed to the Aga Khan hospital; but upon arriving, doctors confirmed that he had already passed on.

Breaking news,, popular blogger know as Xtiandela is dead , he was from visiting a friend where he fell down and was rushed to the hospital. Xtiandela was pronounced dead in Agakhan hospital just 10 minutes ago. May his soul rest in eternal peace …. my regards to the family.

Sauti Sol´s lead vocalist, Bien Aime touched a raw nerve yesterday after kicking off a discussion regards former Kenyan Prime Minister, Raila Odinga´s recent health condition that saw him get flown to Dubai for surgery.

To drive his point home, the artist shared a copy of the front page of Daily Nation´s newspaper that had the story of Raila to the left corner while the cover page highlighted ongoing police brutality that has left netizens either crippled or dead.

According to Bien, it was interesting how the high and mighty in Kenya get the privilege to get flown out for specialized treatment while the common mwananchi struggles to seek medical attention in our local hospitals and morgues.

Well, Bien´s post ignited wild reactions among Kenyans. Some were in assent with the harsh reality while a section was irritated by the singer´s blunt comment.

Netizens called out Bien for being a hypocrite who blames politicians for failing to promote local capacity while the singer and his boy band group, Sauti Sol are busy seeking professional services for their music, outside the country.

Many have talents but the professional path does not always correspond with one´s in-born talents and skills. More often that not, individuals draw a line between their professional life and their side gigs if I´d put it so.

Unfortunately, we hardly get to realize what someone is gifted in until it blows in our faces. It turns out that a couple of Kenyan TV news anchors are also music artistes and producers, away from the screens.

We don´t need to go far. Check out the list below:

1. Dann Mwangi

Dann has been introduced to us as a business anchor and reporter at NTV. One who puts on a serious face and for you to spot him smiling or laughing, you must have worked your muscles out.

However, away from the screens, the NTV journalist is also know as ´Number 8, the Poet´ for his skill in Spoken Word.

Dann is actively involved in the gospel industry, a passion he grew ever since his campus days at Kenyatta University where he rapped with Nairobi Senator John Sakaja which saw them become members of Mission Driven group.

In 2011, the journalist-cum-rapper produced a spoken word piece dubbed Flush It, regards the common culture among people to engage in casual s*x. In 2016, the group produced a beatbox cover of urban gospel songs. Listen:

2. Lofty Matambo & Fridah Mwaka

The two media professionals affiliated with KTN News are apparently gospel artistes.

Fridah Mwaka´s stage name is ´Kichuna cha Mwaka´ and Lofty goes by the nick name ´Mtoto wa Mfalme´ doubling up as a presenter of Sunday show dubbed Shangwe on Radio Maisha from 6am to 11 am.

The Kiswahili Prime Time news anchors surprised Kenyans with their release dubbed Weh Corona on Tuesday, June 2. A song whose title speaks for itself and one under gifted Kenyan producer, Saint P.

Funny enough, the two revealed they had thought about it while in the newsroom, before reaching an agreement and later approaching the producer.

All in a bid to create emphasis to Kenyans on the importance of observing stipulated Covid-19 measures as per the Government´s directives. Mwaka expressed:

We are both gospel artistes and we thought, why not have a corona song? We visited Saint P who owns a studio-Sasa Muziki and shared the idea with him. It was a done deal and we started writing the song. I put my verse in Giriama because the three of us come from the coast.

4. Lilian Muli

The Citizen TV sensation has severally appeared in music videos as a vixen, with the most recent being a Kamba gospel track dubbed Kyaa Kya Ngai loosely translated as ´What belongs to God belongs to him´.

Update on comedian Othuol´s health status a day after being hospitalized (Photos)

Churchill show comedian Ben Maurice Onyango better known as Othuol Othuol left Kenyans in shock after claims his health was deteriorating but was not getting urgently needed attention at Kenyatta National Hospital.

The funny man was admitted at the city hospital after fainting in his home in Kitengela over unclear circumstances.

Only to be kept waiting on the long queues before he could get attended to. He was later admitted and fellow local comedians paid him a visit, as a sign of solidarity for a colleague.

Health update

Well, there is some good news to the spirited campaigns by Kenyans, creatives and fans who advocated for the urgent treatment and care of the comedian, in a bid to save his life.

A statement issued by Churchill Show Communications Director, Ken Waudo, indicates Mr Othuol has been responding well to treatment since his admission.

Our fellow member, Ben Maurice Onyango known as comedian Othuol Othuol is recuperating at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he was admitted on Wednesday morning at around 10 am.

Further stating that after much thought about how to best see the stand-up comedian fully get back on his feet, they settled for Kenyatta National Hospital.

To this effect, Othuol is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on June 30, to establish facts surrounding his condition.

So far, we thank the hospital management for hearing our call when there was a delay in admitting him. He is under care and watch of KNH medical teams and constantly treated to any arising needs for such, while awaiting results from diagnosis.

The world-renowned filmmaker has rubbed shoulders with the high and the mighty in the Hollywood film industry but still never feels like it is home for her.

The distance

Currently residing overseas, the beauty told the British Vogue how every time they are done filming, everybody else talks of going home to their families. But the best she can do is stick around because home for her is Kenya.

Filming is so time-consuming and intense. With Black Panther, a lot of us were single. On Little Monsters, nobody was single. Everyone when they are done with their day´s work, wants to go home to their families, which makes a whole lot of sense. When you don´t have that it´s very isolating.

Switch TV’s Nana Owiti recently left fans asking questions after revealing that she does not follow her rapper husband, King Kaka on social media.

The lady who is currently known for her Chill Spot show on the renowned TV station went on to reveal that following her husband has never been a big deal. Although she is a fan of his poetic music, Ms Owiti went on to reveal what led to both her and King Kaka not following each other on social media.

According the gorgeous mother of two, they have never really followed each other on Instagram; however during the beginning of their relationship they had been friends on Facebook but this did not last for long!

Nana went on to add that ‘commenting’ on other peoples post brought by unnecessary questioning; and for some reason they decided to end it by unfriending each other. The lady went on to say;

We all have our insecurities, male and female alike. Whether work-related, home-related, personally or socially…insecurities are part of being human.

But we still battle them every passing day and try our level best to either have them out or hidden despite the fact that imperfection will always be part of our lives.

All this was well echoed in Sauti Sol’s Midnight Train album. Talk of singles like Insecure, talk of Suzanna… just to mention a few.

Surgeries have been the new norm especially among public figures who try to maintain a certain ‘accepted’ image among their fans.

Revelation

Well, it hit closer home and band member, Willis Austin Chimano confessed he sought cosmetic services for his armpits to reduce the rate at which he was sweating.

I have no problem and personally, I’ve done it at some point. I sweat a lot and I had botox in my armpits to prevent sweating and I did it once.

Botox injections deal with reducing aging as well as treat certain conditions inclusive of excessive sweating, professionally referred to as hyperhidrosis, which Chimano was battling.

However, in as much as it worked for his good, the singer-songwriter admitted he was not willing to go in for more surgeries. Clarifying that his intent was not for appearance like many people go for.

I’m scared of doing it over and over…At the end of it all, it is not something you should use to alter your looks because of pressure from other people.

After quitting radio job at Milele FM, comedian cum radio host Jalang’o has been focusing on his YouTube channel that continues to grow each day.

With this new move, Jalang’o has come out to reveal that he will soon be changing the Bonga na Jalas channel; to an actual YouTube TV channel that will be airing news, sports, music and all sorts of entertainment!

This also means new job opportunities for the Youths who are willing to work with the media personality; and due to the high enough jobs many have applauded Jalang’o as seen on the comment section. Speaking about his plans, Jalang’o opened up revealing;

With how the YouTube channel is growing so fast, the Bonga na Jalas YouTube channel. What if we made it bigger and better. Now this is what i mean, Bonga na Jalas and the interviews I do just became a segment in the YouTube channel. For you guys who watch and think have a talent, I can have somebody do news, sports. I can have the comedian of the day, reviews…so that we can create opportunities for so many people to have themselves on Bonga na Jalas.

According to Jalang’o, this will open an opportunity for jobless Youths stuck at home with certificates but no employment.

His idea is definitely what we call ‘thinking out of the box’ and even though he has proven to have his shortcomings; Jalang’o has given fans yet another reason for him to celebrate him for being thoughtful.

Singer Vivianne confirms music industry is ‘demonic’ barely days after Vanessa Mdee’s claims

Just days after Tanzanian singer-songwriter, Vanessa Hau Mdee blasted the entertainment industry for hypocrisy, popular Kenyan singer, Vivianne came out to confirm the claims.

Hypocrisy saw Mdee fall into depression and dive into alcoholism, before recently declaring she had had enough and called it quits in an industry that did not accept her as she was, neither supported her dreams.

Days later, her Kenyan counterpart, Vivianne came out public to first, commend the Tanzanian songbird’s resilience in the hypocrisy-filled entertainment industry.

However, regardless of how strong and thick-skinned one might have become, entertainers are still human and with time, it eats into your skin until you can hold in no more.

According to Vivianne, one eventually sinks into depression and resorts to drug addiction.

The mother of one could not emphasize enough how the truth in the music industry has been swept under the mat time and again, but it was the high time the truth came out.

I love to make music but the pressure and the hypocrisy will drive you into depression or substance abuse that’s for sure.. In my own capacity as Vivian the lack of truth and lack of love that is characteristic in our entertainment system is demonic.

The recent mass firing from Mediamax Limited over text is nothing the company should be proud of. At least I think so.

The incident painted such a vague and messy picture of the media network. First, for its lack of professionalism and second, for the way it merely communicated to the employees.

On the same regard, Mwalimu Kinga´ang´i born Daniel Ndambuki expressed total disgust from the Mediamax conglomerate.

He considered this insensitive of the media house, stating that such texts might not only come as a shock to employees but who knows, people might get into serious accidents.

Publicly declaring his preference, the comedian articulated that he´d rather his employer takes him out, wait for him to get high then he/she can break the news.

The day you decide to fire me, don´t send me an SMS, I can even be driving or doing something that might cause an accident. Let´s get this straight, you don´t do that sh*t to me. Call me for a drink and when I am high, drop the news. Some things can kill you.

Giving his two cents on the same, his Classic 105 co-host Maina Kageni questioned the kind of treatment the TV journalists had been given after years of serving tirelessly at the media station.

Shame on you, how can you do that? How can you ask someone to meet you at a certain hotel and then drop such news?

Kenyan showbiz rapper, Prezzo, born Jackson Ngechu recounted how he once almost lost his life in a night attack by thugs.

Before we start, Prezzo´s interviews somehow touch a soft spot in your heart – they completely change your perception about the rapper. If you judged him, you feel embarrassed and sorry that you did.

Moving on, the popular musician recalled how a group of thugs tortured him, stole from him and left him for dead on one Mother´s Day.

Speaking during his interview with The Play House, the celebrity narrated he had stopped by the bank on that fateful day to get some cash in order to treat his mother on her special day.

They drove to her place, gifted her some beautiful flower vase, before asking to leave but his mom insisted she needed to pray for his journey.

This didn´t rub off well with Prezzo who was in a hurry but he just gave in.

The attack

Soon as they left his mom´s home, barely meters away, their car got hit from the back before they could realize these are thugs.

I came out fuming, the driver pulled out and he said ´sorry´. Kumbe they were thugs, kidogo kidogo four guys come out with straps and tie us to the back of our car.

It felt disappointing for him to have planned his life so well for the last 5 years and just as he was about to marry, he gets carjacked.

They beat me up with the gun as I was shielding my guy who was like my younger brother. That time I was in Cobra Squad and the thugs mocked me for that.

They walked away with at least KSh 3.5 million from the artist´s jewellery but before they left, one of them looked back and fired to Prezzo´s head, leaving him for dead.

He later got a taxi to Nairobi Hospital where he was stitched up.

The past remains a memory, sometimes a place we never desire to go back to, other times it is a place we wish we could live in every single day.

Former Milele FM presenter, Jalang´o took us back to a time he was too broke and ashy to even afford to take care of the girl of his dreams.

Through his YouTube channel, the popular radio personality told of how: soon as he left his home in Homabay, to hustle in the busy streets of Nairobi, he had his first job at the National Theatre.

However, there was this girl he adored but he could not afford her. Jalang´o never gained the courage to approach her.

Things were really still very hard and I liked this girl so so much! From Homa Bay, this girl is brown, she´s beautiful and I´m like now, this is the woman I need. She knew very well I liked her and I loved her. But I was not of her class.

But sooner, rather than later, she realized his intentions for her and asked him to take her out for lunch.

Unfortunately:

You know Luos never get broke, I told her ¨Babe you know, I would have really loved to but I´m financially embarrassed¨.

The girl openly offered to be the one to take Jalang´o out and foot their meal bills.

So she took me to Seasons. I´d never walked in a restaurant like that. The menu was brought and the rule is simple – never order something bigger than whoever is paying. So she told me, have anything you want and I told her, I will order what you order. This is the first time I was seeing sizzling food. Nikaishika hivi, ikanichoma.

This was a story he told during his interview with Kenyan pop star, Nadia Mukami, as he tried to imagine how a gentleman can take a girl out and expect her to pay the bill.

Relationships are not built in a day but the minute the foundation has been laid, breaking the bond might take time. K24 news pair, Eric Njoka and Karen Knaust have penned each other emotional letters admitting they already ´miss each other´.

Well, well, well, they say pay back hate with hate and love with love. This is exactly what former K24 journalist, Mwanaisha Chidzuga has done to her former colleagues who were recently shown the door.

The prime time news anchor was kicked out in a massive retrenchment by the Mediamax-owned TV station in October 2019, something that not only left them bitter but also embarrassed.

8 months down the line and Mwanaisha has decided it is the ripe hour. A day after K24 swept out its entire newsroom professionals, the celebrated Kiswahili news anchor who doubles up in the catering industry penned a disturbing letter to her colleagues.

She painfully recalled how she lost her job at KTN in 2015, an unprecedented move that taught her hard-knocking life lessons.

Only to get a place at K24 same year in November and 4 years later, shown the exit door again.

Her letter

To her former colleagues at K24, Mwanaisha hoped they had learnt their lessons the hard way because well, she lost her job twice in a span of 5 years and she had been whipped enough by life.

To those who have lost jobs POLENI but take the lessons with you so that next time it happens you should be more than ready. My friends dont be too attached to employment or companies and institutions that never asked your input when they were setting up or laying the foundation in the first place.

Out-spoken female vlogger, Mkamburi Chigogo is on an angry rant after a giveaway promotion in Kenya worked against her, leaving her counting losses.

According to her, the giveaway effortlessly worked for them in the USA, only for it to turn sour among Kenyan netizens.

The issue was, the offer was labelled ´giveaway´ so this meant people had a chance to win without giving money. But unfortunately, it turned out to be a ´raffle´ which simply meant you give in money but remain a gamble on whether it would get it back or lose altogether.

The deal

The offer on the table was giving a chance to Kenyans especially females to bag themselves quality wigs up to 8 pieces based on your number of entries that went for KSh 500 each.

Kenyans who took part in the deal felt cheated and ripped off by the opinionated feminist and her counterparts whom they believe were out to mint money from poor Kenyans.

This saw her give Kenyans a long lecture online, bashing them for defaming Havilah Crowns brand that was forced to cancel the raffle.

You started calling her a fraud, a scammer, a con. Sending all sorts of screenshots to all sorts of people. Dragging someone who has worked her assets off to build a credible brand, someone who has high-end clients, all over what?

Backlash

Unfortunately, Kenyans were not going to table her yelling, clapping back at her for always poking her nose in other people´s affairs but when it is her turn to get exposed, she balloons up.

Comedian and hypeman, MC Eddie took her on commenting:

Kenyans shamelessly celebrated her loss and the cancellation that forced the company to refund everyone to their last bob, which they believe is the reason why Mkamburi is mad.

Plus, it seems the vlogger and her counterparts realized they might not get what they wanted from Kenyans, therefore hiding under the umbrella of ´cyber-bullying´.

A section was quick to remind the radio personality of the Laws governing Instagram and the illegalities of giving money for giveaways on the platform.
