Just days after confirming her breakup with comedian Oliver Otieno, popularly known as YY, businesswoman Noela Toywa has hinted at plans to pursue therapy.
YY publicly introduced Noela in November 2024, shortly after ending his relationship with Marya Okoth. To mark their relationship, YY treated Noela to a luxurious chopper ride followed by a lunch date, which captured the attention of fans.

When questioned about moving on so quickly after his breakup with Marya, YY defended his decision, stating, “I am a family person. I would love to build a family for myself.” He advised men against taking extended breaks after relationships, saying, “Ukijipea break ata miezi sita, hutawai move on na hutawai taka mambo ya wanawake.” He even hinted at future wedding plans with Noela, adding, “We leave that to God, but we pray it’s as soon as possible.”
The Breakup
Despite the promising start, the relationship ended months later. Speculation about their split grew when YY failed to publicly celebrate Noela’s birthday in December, which raised eyebrows among their fans. YY later confirmed the breakup, stating, “Tuliachana. Watu huwachana, si ni life.” He chose not to elaborate on the reasons behind their separation, leaving fans surprised given the public nature of their relationship.
Noela Opens Up About Therapy
On January 6, during an anonymous Instagram Q&A session, Noela addressed questions from her followers, many of which centered around her relationship with YY. While she refrained from discussing the breakup in detail, one fan asked if she had started therapy. Noela revealed that a friend had referred her to a therapist, though she had yet to begin sessions. This response suggests her intention to prioritize her healing and well-being following the split.
