Rapper Lil TJay arrested in connection to Offset’s shooting

The Seminole Police Department has confirmed the arrest of rapper Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, in connection with an incident that occurred Monday night at a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

According to police, Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot at the same location at around 7 p.m. The rapper—who shares three children with Cardi B—was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Lil Tjay, 24, was later booked into Broward County Jail on a disorderly conduct charge, with records indicating he was being held on a $500 bond as of Tuesday morning.

His lawyer, Dawn M. Florio, dismissed claims linking him to the shooting, describing them as unfounded rumors.

“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false,” she stated in a post shared on Instagram, urging the public to verify information before spreading unconfirmed claims.

Police spokesperson Gary Bitney said the incident began as a physical altercation. He added that while a second individual was detained at the scene, no charges have been filed against that person so far.

Authorities also noted that investigations are ongoing to identify any additional individuals who may have been involved.

Entertainment outlet TMZ was the first to report on Lil Tjay’s arrest and the alleged connection to the shooting.

Lil Tjay is widely known for hits such as “F.N.” and “Calling My Phone,” and has been releasing music independently since parting ways with Columbia Records in 2024.

Offset, on the other hand, rose to prominence as a member of the rap group Migos. The group suffered a tragic loss in 2022 when fellow member Takeoff was fatally shot.

Rapper Offset Hospitalized After Shooting At Florida Casino

Former Migos member Offset is currently recovering in a Florida hospital after being shot on Monday evening. Authorities have confirmed that the rapper is in stable condition, and two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.

Chaos at the Hard Rock Hotel

The shooting occurred just after 7:00 pm in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as local law enforcement moved quickly to contain the area and provide medical assistance.

In an official statement, the police confirmed the location and timing:

“We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 pm Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.”

“Stable and Closely Monitored”

A spokesperson for Offset corroborated the police report, clarifying that while the rapper did sustain a gunshot wound, he is expected to recover.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the representative stated. While the rapper is out of immediate danger, specific details regarding the motive or the events leading up to the gunfire remain scarce as the investigation continues.

A Turbulent Few Years

This incident follows a string of high-profile tragedies and changes for the artist. In 2022, the hip-hop world was rocked by the fatal shooting of Offset’s fellow Migos member, Takeoff, in Houston. Following the tragedy, the group officially disbanded in 2023, with Offset focusing on his career as a solo performer.

On the personal front, Offset’s high-profile marriage to Cardi B came to an end in 2024 after seven years together. The former couple shares three children. Cardi B has since moved on and is currently dating NFL star Stefon Diggs, with whom she recently welcomed a son.

Police have assured the public that the site of the shooting was secured in record time, and they are continuing to question the two suspects currently in custody.

In a statement, a representative confirmed that the 34-year-old artist is currently receiving treatment in hospital and is under close medical observation. Authorities also noted that the injured individual was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital following the incident.

Police reported that the situation unfolded shortly after 7 p.m. in a valet area outside the venue. Officers responded quickly, contained the scene, and detained two individuals in connection with the incident. Investigations are ongoing, though officials have assured the public that the area is secure and there is no ongoing threat.

Details surrounding the shooting, including the motive and extent of Offset’s injuries, remain unclear.

Shortly after the news broke, fellow Migos member Quavo shared a praying hands emoji on social media, a gesture many interpreted as support.

Witnesses say that moments before the incident, Offset appeared relaxed and in good spirits, interacting warmly with fans—taking photos, shaking hands, and chatting near the venue’s exit.

For some fans, the incident has brought back memories of the tragic loss of Takeoff, another member of Migos who was fatally shot in 2022. Since then, Quavo has been vocal in advocating against gun violence, including engaging in awareness initiatives and community efforts.

Offset Breaks Silence on Explosive Saweetie Rumours — “It Was Never About Her!”

After years of whispers and online speculation, rapper Offset has finally set the record straight on the long-standing rumour that he hooked up with Saweetie — while she was still dating his Migos bandmate, Quavo.

In a candid new chat with Keke Palmer, Offset shut down the viral gossip once and for all, insisting that his fallout with Quavo had nothing to do with Saweetie.

“No, it was something deeper than that between me and bro. Me and Saweetie don’t play those games — we don’t even do that,” Offset declared firmly.

According to the rapper, the entire saga was cooked up by people within the industry who wanted to tear the Migos apart. “They were trying to divide us,” he hinted, pointing fingers at unnamed insiders who allegedly spread the story to create chaos and bad blood within the group.

The Love Story That Sparked It All

Saweetie and Quavo’s love story once ruled hip-hop headlines. The pair went public in 2018, after Saweetie starred as Quavo’s love interest in his Workin Me video.

From matching designer fits to extravagant gifts — like Quavo’s custom Bentley surprise and Saweetie’s diamond-crusted Richard Mille — their relationship screamed luxury and “couple goals.”

But by 2021, cracks began to show. A now-infamous elevator altercation video hinted at trouble behind the scenes, and soon after, Saweetie announced their breakup on Twitter, accusing Quavo of “betrayal and emotional hurt.”

Quavo hit back with a shady post of his own, and just like that, the hip-hop power couple was over.

Enter the Offset Rumours

Almost immediately after the split, social media lit up with wild claims that Offset had secretly been involved with Saweetie.

Neither Offset nor Saweetie commented at the time — but the gossip spiraled fast, feeding fan theories that the scandal had destroyed the once-tight Migos brotherhood.

Things got even messier when controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine revived the story earlier this year, claiming the alleged “betrayal” was the real reason Migos never reunited after Takeoff’s tragic death in 2022.

A Family Torn Apart

The Migos — Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff — ruled the rap world for nearly a decade, dropping hit after hit and shaping the sound of modern trap. But by 2021, Offset had quietly drifted away, and the group officially split a year later.

After Takeoff’s heartbreaking passing, fans prayed for a reunion. The two surviving members briefly came together at the BET Awards 2023 to honour their late bandmate — but their icy body language told a different story.

Offset Clears His Name

Now, with his latest comments, Offset seems ready to put the rumours to rest for good. His message is clear: Saweetie was never the problem.

The Atlanta star suggested that money, management, and internal pressure — not a love triangle — were what really fractured the group.

While the dream of a full Migos comeback remains uncertain, Offset’s candid confession finally offers fans a glimpse into the truth behind one of hip-hop’s most talked-about feuds — and maybe, just maybe, the first step toward healing old wounds.

Cardi B Confirms Split with Offset, Embraces “Fresh Start” in 2024

In a candid Instagram Live session, Cardi B dropped a bombshell: she’s single. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper revealed she’s been separated from husband Offset for a while, explaining, “I’ve been single for a minute now. I’ve been afraid… not afraid, I just don’t know how to tell the world.”

Cardi admitted wanting to share the news earlier but feeling unsure. While confirming their split, she remained tight-lipped on the exact timeline, leaving fans to speculate if it was recent or a longer-term separation.

Moving forward, Cardi emphasized her desire for a fresh start in 2024. “I want to start open, curious for a new life, for a new beginning,” she declared, leaving little room for reconciliation in her words.

Their marriage, which began in 2017, produced two children: daughter Kulture and son Wave. Offset, however, has three other children from previous relationships.

Cardi’s announcement sent shockwaves through the entertainment world and her fanbase. The details surrounding the split remain unclear, but one thing is certain: Cardi is ready for a new chapter. Whether she finds it with or without Offset remains to be seen, but her determination for a fresh start is undeniable.
