Gospel minister Rozina Mwakideu has shared a message of faith and calm amid a brewing legal storm, as she and her brother, media personality Alex Mwakideu, face a Ksh20 million defamation lawsuit filed by her ex-husband, Pastor Robert Burale.
Taking to Facebook on Thursday, October 23, 2025, Rozina opened up about the emotional weight of the day, revealing that it marked the first court mention of the case in which she and Alex have been named as defendants.
“Today, October 23, 2025, may be a kawaida day for you. But for my brother Alex and me, it’s our first court mention as defendants — being sued for Ksh20 million for defamation by Robert Burale,” she wrote.
Despite the high-stakes proceedings, Rozina struck a tone of faith and optimism, declaring her unwavering trust in God’s plan.
“In all this, one thing I know for sure: God will be greatly glorified. May peace continue to fill our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support. #MunguKwanza,” she added.

The Case at a Glance
The legal battle stems from a YouTube video uploaded on Alex Mwakideu’s channel, in which Pastor Burale alleges that defamatory remarks were made against him.
Filed under a certificate of urgency at the Milimani Commercial Magistrate’s Court on October 8, 2025, Burale’s suit seeks several key orders — among them, an injunction barring Alex and Rozina from making or publishing any further statements about him.
The application partly reads:
“That pending the hearing and determination of this application inter partes, an order of injunction be granted restraining the respondent (Alex), whether by himself or his agents, from publishing or causing to be published any post or statements defamatory of the applicant (Burale) — including those published on October 4, 2025, via his YouTube channel.”
In addition to monetary damages, Pastor Burale is also seeking:
-
The removal and deletion of the contested video;
-
A public apology issued through major media platforms; and
-
An order preventing social media users from sharing or reposting the disputed content while the case is ongoing.
As the matter proceeds through court, Rozina continues to lean on faith and family, assuring her supporters that the truth — and God’s purpose — will ultimately prevail.
