The friendzone anthem! Sauti Sol drops yet another interesting jam

Multi-award winning Afro-pop group Sauti Sol, release a hot new single & full EMOJI (lyric) video FRIENDZONE, written and produced by Sauti Sol.The release is accompanied by a WhatsApp themed, conversation like, Emoji-only (lyric) video.

“Emoji texts are the new ‘means’ of communication and more specifically emotions like laughter, lust and love. We wanted to have fun with this concept seeing as the track we had needed visuals which best highlight these emotions as people nowadays communicate them. So we thought it was best to come up with such a video.” said Sauti Sol’s guitarist/producer, Polycarp.

We all know that nobody (especially men ?) like to be friend zoned ? and Sauti Sol makes that very clear in this song and video. Once in such a situation you will look for ways to maneuver ?your way out. Thus this song has a theme that every man can relate to and every lady can give testimony to?.

“I haven’t heard of Dela before Coke Studio” Bebe Cool blasts Kenyan musicians for being lazy

Veteran Ugandan reggae/ragga artiste Bebe Cool has shared his honest opinion about Kenyan artistes, he thinks musicians from the 254 are generally lazy.

Bebe Cool, who is in Kenya for Coke Studio, has been interviewed by a number of local news outlets during his stint in the country.

It was during his interview with The Insyder that the Ugandan singer raised eyebrows, he claimed Sauti Sol were the only musicians from Kenya who have clout outside the country’s border. The Ugandan collaborated with Sauti Sol to drop ‘Mbozi Za Malwa’.

“To tell the truth there is Sauti Sol. I would definitely tell you I don’t think I can rate anybody else coz basically apart from the old legendary it’s only Sauti Sol that made sure they made a name in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Africa,” Bebe Cool said.

And to support his claim, Bebe Cool cited the case of Dela whom he said he didn’t know she existed until he met her at Coke Studio.

“I just met Dela recently and I haven’t even listened to her music so that means Kenyan artistes are a little bit lazy. I usually say that and I’m never shy about it because I haven’t heard of Dela before Coke Studio. If Dela has management she has to think twice and move to international platform because that is how I will know you,” added Bebe Cool.

His parents were also present and his mother got to perform kuliko Jana as she also congratulated her son for stepping up to help women…something that has not been seen in a while.

How your favorite celebrities celebrated Father’s day

The world celebrated Father’s day yesterday and Kenya was not any different. Kenyan celebrities especially led from the fore front in celebrating their fathers and being celebrated all together in this full type profession without remuneration.

To start off is Ebru TV’s sensation Doreen Gatwiri. She was bundled away in some swanky resort somewhere in the confines Dar es Salaam but she still took some time to celebrate her father who she obviously adores and admires. “Happy Fathers’ Day to all the dads. To my father, You have always & will be the strongest pillar in my life. I remember my first day in High School where you fixed my tie & my long green ‘baggy’ skirt, just so I could look perfect & ready for a new chapter of my life. Your wisdom is what has kept me going each day. Nakupenda baba…Salute to all the fathers out here. May God give you long life full of blessings.” She posted on her Facebook.

Sauti Sol’s Bien also his father with a special message as he wrote saying,

Happy Father’s Day papa. I become more like you everyday. I love you to death. Thank you.

Janet Mbugua did not also forget to appreciate her husband and all the fathers in her life. She also for the first time introduced her handsome father who she also celebrated on this special day.

Jalango among others also celebrated themselves for being responsible fathers to their kids despite having a tight schedule that forces them to squeeze in time to be with their loved ones.

“Your ignorance is so loud it’s deafening idiots” Bien blasts two ladies for making gay comments on Chimano

Chimano has long been rumored to be gay; recent photo of the Sauti Sol member made two ladies to make homosexual comment about him which didn’t go down well with Bien.

Two homophobes launched scathing attack on Sauti Sol’s Chimano and Bien was quick to defend him with zeal. The quartet faced similar homophobic attack in December 2015 when they rocked mosquito net-like outfit.

This time round it wasn’t a crazy costume that made homophobes pull out their guns, Chimano’s painted nails was what made two ladies harass the poor chap.

Bien shared a photo which was taken during baby shower for Annabel Onyango. The fashion personality is married to Sauti Sol’s manager Marek Fuchs.

In the photo, Bien had bent over as Annabel Onyango fondled his behinds, while Chimano showed off his hands in celeb-ish style.

The photo drew interesting comments but two homophobes got on Bien’s nerves and he lost his cool. Comments by a certain hawa_the_firstlady and ambukadorice totally pissed off Bien.

ambukadorice : Hahahahaha this is so funny n so gay

hawa_the_firstlady: @ambukadorice esp the nail polish on the guys hands

ambukadorice: @hawa_the_firstlady … I know … Wanakaa ma gay SMH

Bien: @hawa_the_firstlady @ambukadorice you’re ignorance is so loud it’s deafening. Go write your stupid comments on Ezekiel Mutua’s page where other idiots like you dwell. You still can’t be writing such comments on the 21st century. What a waste of an education

“Working with C4 PEDRO is a dream come true. He worked tirelessly and did not refrain from expressing himself, hence having incorporated the Swahili and Kenyan language into our personal style. “

For C4 PEDRO

“It was a very rewarding experience working with SAUTI SOL. Ever since we met in Dallas, at the AFRIMMA awards, where we were both honored, the interaction and chemistry were great and we soon realized that we had to collaborate one day. The reunion took place again at the MTV MAMA 2016 in South Africa, we were also honored. This happy coincidence resulted into a studio session the day after the award ceremony. It was a pleasure to record with them, because of their musicality, Africanness. Deep down, this African side that I always make a point of including and preserving in my music.”

“Pia wewe ungechorea bro!” Sauti Sol responds to Chiko Lawi’s online rant

Some may consider Damian Marley’s reaction towards Chiko Lawi rude but hey sometimes it’s good to excuses your right of saying NO when need be.

We all saw the video of Chiko insulting Damian simply because the artist had refused to talk or rather take a selfie with him. Chiko is heard throwing around the F word and funny enough he uploaded it on his social media pages. According to Chiko, Damian had refused to take a photo with a certain young fan and this irritated him hence their confrontation.

He went on to say that the reggae artist also insulted him and this is why he could not hold back. In his post shared on Instagram he goes on to say that never in his life has he been ignored by Sauti Sol or Nyashinski who are also superstars but shockingly Sauti Sol were not in agreement with his reaction towards Damian. They wen ahead to comment to his post telling him that he should have held his cool instead of ranting out like someone who does not understand how the industry works.

But that was actually after 100 days of friends cajoling us to be together. Lol ? Maybe once … ?Just wanted to thank the Lord for the gift, and thank everyone who saw us fit for each other even before we ever had a real conversation. End of story. ?✨??❤️?” Anyiko described how she feels about her boyfriend.
