Stephanie Kiuna, daughter of the late Bishop Allan Kiuna, has shared a moving tribute to mark one year since her father’s passing, offering a glimpse into her deeply personal journey through grief and healing.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, Stephanie reflected on the pain, growth, and memories that have shaped the past year since the charismatic Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) co-founder died in July 2024 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
“It’s been a hard year,” she wrote. “One of deep grief, reflection, and learning to live with a piece of my heart missing.”
The emotional post was accompanied by a series of intimate photographs — some capturing moments from her childhood in her father’s arms, others showing tender family scenes, including their final Christmas together in 2023 — a time she didn’t know would be their last.
Stephanie spoke of her father with reverence and deep admiration, describing him as a man of “unwavering faith, strength, and love” whose influence continues to shape her life even in his absence.
She also praised her mother, Reverend Kathy Kiuna, for being a steady source of strength for both the family and the church community through this season of loss.
“Grief doesn’t get smaller,” Stephanie reflected. “Instead, we learn to grow around it.”
Her words resonated widely, drawing an outpouring of love and condolences from followers in Kenya and abroad, many of whom shared their own stories of loss and healing.
Bishop Allan Kiuna’s death in 2024 sent shockwaves through Kenya’s religious community and beyond. Known for his dynamic preaching and leadership alongside his wife Kathy at JCC, his legacy continues to impact countless lives across the country and internationally.
As Stephanie continues to navigate life without her father, her honest and vulnerable message serves as both a tribute and a source of comfort for others walking through grief.
