Kenya Airways has announced a strategic partnership with Nigerian Afrobeats star Yemi Alade as the national carrier seeks to strengthen its presence in the West African market.
The collaboration, unveiled on Monday, July 20, 2026, forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to expand its regional footprint by partnering with influential personalities who can help connect the brand with new audiences.
Announcing the partnership, Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu said the move reflects the airline’s commitment to building stronger ties across West Africa through meaningful collaborations.
“We’re excited to announce a strategic partnership with global superstar @yemialadee, reinforcing our commitment to strengthening our presence in West Africa through meaningful collaborations that connect us with new audiences,” Kenya Airways said.
Expanding Operations in West Africa
The partnership comes as Kenya Airways continues to grow its operations in the region.
The airline recently increased its capacity on the Nairobi-Lagos route by deploying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which now operates six flights a week.
According to the airline, the expanded schedule is expected to improve connectivity between East and West Africa by offering passengers more travel options for both business and leisure.
