Controversial Kenyan content creator Andrew Kibe has revealed that his highly anticipated boxing match against Mumias East MP Peter Salasya might actually become a reality—though he remains highly skeptical about the organizers.

In an Instagram video shared on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Kibe disclosed that he received a message from a manager representing media personality Oga Obinna, indicating that plans for the bout are officially moving forward.

Despite the progress, Kibe was quick to temper expectations, openly expressing doubt over whether the organizers can successfully pull off the event.

“The Kibe-Salasya fight might be a reality. Today I got a message from one of Obinna’s managers, and it said the fight looks like it’s on. [But] I don’t know if I can trust Obinna to see this thing through. I am dealing with villagers here, so I have to be careful.”

The potential collaboration raised eyebrows among fans, given Kibe’s historically turbulent relationship with Obinna. However, Kibe shut down the confusion by making it clear that while they aren’t officially business partners yet, he is keeping an open mind—especially if it proves financially rewarding.

“I am not working with him yet,” Kibe clarified. “I am still watching, but if there is money, there is money. So, I should not buy a Mercedes S550 because I have ill feelings? Learn to be magnanimous.”
