Obinna Says He Would Keep Any Relationship With Miss P Private

Media personality Steve Thompson Maghana, popularly known as Oga Obinna, has said that if he and singer Miss P ever decide to date, he would prefer to keep their relationship away from the public eye.

Speaking in a recent interview, Obinna explained that he is not a fan of publicising romantic relationships on social media, saying the online space often brings unnecessary pressure, expectations and unsolicited opinions.

“If at all anything will happen between Miss P and me, I would like it to be private.”

His remarks come amid continued speculation from fans, many of whom have questioned whether the chemistry between the two points to more than just friendship.

‘I Don’t Like Social Media Relationships’

Obinna reiterated that if the two were ever to officially pursue a relationship, he would keep it off social media.

“If at all we will be interested in pursuing each other officially, I would like it to be private.”

He explained that once a relationship is shared online, it often becomes subject to public expectations and commentary from people who have no involvement in it.

“Mi sipendi mapenzi ya mtandao because ikisha kuwa kwa mtandao, now there are expectations. There are external forces and parties, opinions from everybody.”

According to Obinna, those outside influences can create unnecessary strain on a relationship that should be allowed to develop naturally between the people involved.

Choosing Privacy Over Public Attention

The media personality’s views reflect a growing trend among celebrities who prefer to separate their private lives from their public personas.

While social media enables public figures to connect with their fans, it also exposes their relationships to constant scrutiny and speculation.

Obinna maintained that if a romantic relationship with Miss P were ever to happen, it would remain a private matter rather than becoming content for social media.

“If at all it would happen, I would like it to be private.”

His comments neither confirmed nor denied the rumours linking him to the singer. Instead, they highlighted his belief that relationships stand a better chance of succeeding when they are allowed to grow away from public attention and the pressure of online expectations.
