Insider Highlights Annie Idibia’s Struggles, Criticizes 2Face Over Divorce Announcement

Renowned Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has pledged her unwavering support for her close friend, Annie Idibia, amidst 2Face Idibia’s controversial announcement of their separation.

In a social media post, Makinwa criticized 2Face for his decision to publicly share the news, claiming he is fully aware of the challenges happening behind the scenes. She expressed her disapproval of the singer’s timing, emphasizing that while leaving an unhealthy relationship is valid, the manner in which it was done was ill-considered.

“Nobody is asking anyone to stay in a situation that no longer serves them. By all means, leave if you must, but why bring this online at this moment?” she questioned.

Makinwa hinted at deeper issues behind the scenes, stating, “The world doesn’t know the half of it, but we do. It’s already chaotic with opinions flying around, and when I say we will fight for her, I’m not talking about the public.”

The media personality further urged 2Face to practice empathy and discretion, noting, “Timing and empathy are everything. You constantly preach love, yet you’ve added to the public narrative when you know the truth behind closed doors.”

Ongoing Scrutiny Over 2Face and Annie Idibia’s Marriage

In recent weeks, the couple’s marriage has been the subject of public attention due to persistent rumors of turmoil. Insiders close to Annie claim the actress is currently in rehab, dealing with personal struggles. Reports also suggest that Toke Makinwa and singer Tiwa Savage have stepped in to support Annie, ensuring she receives proper care.

This may explain Makinwa’s strong reaction to 2Face’s public disclosure.

2Face’s Divorce Announcement

On Sunday, 2Face Idibia took to social media to confirm that he and Annie had been separated for some time and had officially filed for divorce.

“I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now. This message is short but long at the same time. We have currently filed for divorce,” he wrote.

He added that he would issue a formal press release to share his side of the story, clarifying his innocence or wrongdoing.

2Baba is back with a new jam ‘Important’ and we love it (Video)

Nigerian singer Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2 Face Idibia or 2Baba, has dropped a new jam and we are really feeling it.

The song dubbed Important talks about being positive and being strong when things seem impossible because you’ll get through it all.

Further, it encourages people who are dealing with situations that threaten to devalue them not to lose hope because they are worthy, special and important.

I really love this jam. Apart from the powerful message that it carries, you will agree with me that it’s very catchy and you are likely to have it on replay for the rest of the year – which is about six weeks.

Admittedly, I couldn’t understand many verses in the song because they were in Igbo but to be honest, even that was not going to stop me from enjoying this beautiful composition.

I also loved the beat and instrumentation on this jam. I could not resist the urge to dance as I was writing this review however much I tried.

The video which was directed by the one and only Clarence Peters was also on point. It opens up with stunning aerial shots showing expansive forests with gushing waters in the background.

This is followed by contrasting images of dancers clad in ebullient colors. African wax prints make a bold appearance in this music video amid shots taken in a local community where both children and elders gather around 2Baba.

In my opinion, the scenes work seamlessly together to support the overall theme of the track. To add to that, you will agree with me that the scene transitioning was really dope.
