Nairobi-based photographer and content creator Faustine Babatalisha, popularly known as Baba Talisha, has spoken out strongly against online bullies targeting children.
In a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a photo of his young daughter Talisha in a white dress, the creative expressed deep disappointment at adults who, in his words, “find comfort in trolling innocent kids online.”
A Call for Empathy
Baba Talisha noted that the problem extends far beyond his own family, saying he has witnessed similar cruelty directed at other children whose parents share their lives online.
“To online bullies—it breaks my heart to see grown people find comfort in trolling innocent kids. I’ve seen it happen not just to my child, but to many others,” he wrote.
He urged adults to pause before typing hurtful comments, asking them to reflect on how they would feel if the same words were directed at their own children.
“Children are pure souls who deserve love, protection, and kindness—not cruelty from adults hiding behind screens. Before you type hurtful words, pause and think: would you want your own child to be spoken to that way?”
The Lasting Impact of Words
The content creator further warned about the long-term damage caused by online insults, reminding his followers that “the scars of words can last longer than we think.”
“Let’s learn to build children up instead of tearing them down,” he added.
A Reminder of Life’s Fragility
Baba Talisha closed his message with a sober reflection, urging people to embrace kindness:
“What many forget is that life is unpredictable. No one knows what tomorrow holds for them, their children, or their loved ones.”
His plea has sparked conversations online, with many applauding his courage in standing up for children’s dignity in the digital age.
