Capital FM run back to another ex again after seducing Joey Muthenge back 

Capital FM of late has experienced a massive exodus. Maqbul Mohammed, Cess Mutungi, Anita Nderu, Susan Wong, Laura Walubengo and Sharon Mundia have left the station.

Now Capital has been forced to go back to their exes to fill the spots given how their recent recruiting efforts have turned ugly.

Fareed Khimani has made a grand comeback to Capital FM after leaving Nation FM. The veteran host will replace Maqbul in the morning show alongside Amina Rabar.

Taking to social media, Khimani announced his return to the radio where he worked in the 2000s.

Khimani also confessed that he has always wanted to work with Amina and getting the opportunity was a sure dream come true.

“I always had a list of things to do before my next birthday… Well one of them is to work with this very talented Co-host @aminaabdirabar on @984inthemorning #Breakfast984,” read his tweet.

The presenter joins Capital FM just days after Joey Muthengi was added to replace Cess. Muthengi is hosting the jam.

Capital FM forced to deny they fired Hits not homework ‘struggling’ presenters 

Urban radio Capital FM has denied that it has fired it’s Hit Not Home Work presenters after Kenyans noticed they have been conspicuously missing in the show.

Hit Not Home Work presenters Anne Mwaura Tracy Wanjiru Jo Kisila and Anita Nderu controversially got the job last year after Capital FM did an audition.

Word has it that they have been really struggling since taking over the show. The reports further said that Capital had poached Neville from Homeboyz radio to take over the Hits not homework that has been losing its popularity over time.

Not true

According to Capital FM Programmes Controller Michael Waithaka, the station hasn’t fired the crew but has just reshuffled them to give Hits not Homework an new look.

“The show just needed direction. They were on a one year contract from Capital One of which ended in January but that doesn’t mean that they are out of Capital. Because basically what was supposed to happen every year we had agreed on refreshing the show, we had targets. No one has been fired, Anne moved to The Fuse, Tracy is on Saturday breakfast,” said Michael Waithaka.

Capital FM Signs MOU With French Embassy to Air French Show, “Bonjour de France”

The times of talking in future tense have finally come to an end. We can all now learn French in the comfort of our homes. Capital FM has signed a Partnership MOU with the Ambassade de France en Uganda (Embassy of France in Uganda). This is so that they can have a French Show aired on the station.

Weekly, the program, ‘Bonjour de France‘ will run on Kampala’s number one station, on Sunday at 8.15pm, starting with this Sunday, 20th October.

The deal was made

Ugandans should always tune into ”Bonjour de France” cause they’ll benefit a lot from the program.’ Said the Ambassador, Stephanie Rivoal during the meeting at the Kampala based station.

The program will not only teach the population French, but also bring them closer to the the culture, music and diversities of the country.

Popular Capital FM presenter quits after four years in the station

Lately there has been a lot of reshuffles in the media industry. Presenters have been quitting left right and center as they look for greener pastures.

The latest radio presenter to join the movement is Capital FM presenter Wanjira Longauer who has been hosting The Fuse for almost four years now alongside Taylor.

Taking to Instagram, she posted her exit news saying that fan should tune in for her lost show.

@capitalfmkenya and I have made magique over the last 4 years. Tune in for some last min fun together on my final show. 98.4, mad love, baby!!,” she said on social media.

Listen or Skip? Legendary Radio and TV personality Fareed Khimani is back on radio

While many believe once popular, funny and canny  radio presenter Fareed Khimani is washed up, it seems a popular radio station and some fans still believe he has some juice left.

The legendary host who worked for Capital FM, XFM and Nation FM in the early 2000s is back in the frequency via a station that is also trying to make a comeback after several failed relaunches: Nation FM.

Taking to Instagram, the presenter alerted fans that he’s back to hosting the morning show on Nation.

“Alright. Now it’s really on 96.3 in the morning… tomorrow fro. 6am. This son of a gun is back,” Tweeted Fareed.

Shutting down

Nation is struggling to reenter the market two years after it shutting down alongside sister stations QTV, QFM and Rwanda’s KFM.
