The gospel of Hakimi: Diamond Platnumz reveals why none of his exes can ever touch his immense wealth

Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has revealed that many of his most valuable assets, including his cars, houses and businesses, are registered under his mother Sandra Kassim’s name.

The singer made the revelation while celebrating his mother’s birthday, using the occasion to honour the woman he says has been his greatest source of support throughout his rise to fame.

Speaking to guests at the event, Diamond said everything he owns belongs to his mother, underscoring the deep bond they share.

“Changu ni chake,” Diamond said, meaning, “What is mine is hers.”

He explained that several of his properties and investments are legally registered in her name, describing the decision as a reflection of the trust, gratitude and appreciation he has for her.

Honouring His Mother’s Sacrifices

Diamond has often spoken publicly about the sacrifices his mother made while raising him before he became one of Africa’s biggest music stars.

In previous interviews, the award-winning artiste has recounted growing up in modest circumstances in Tandale, Dar es Salaam, and credited his mother’s unwavering encouragement for inspiring him to pursue music despite numerous setbacks.

“Everything I have is because of her prayers and sacrifices,” he told guests during the birthday celebration.

Building an Empire Beyond Music

Over the years, Diamond has grown beyond his music career to become a successful entrepreneur.

In addition to releasing chart-topping songs and collaborating with international artists, he has invested in several ventures, including his record label, Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), Wasafi Media and other commercial businesses.

Fans Praise the Singer

Videos from the birthday celebration quickly spread across social media, with many fans applauding Diamond for publicly expressing his appreciation for his mother.

Among the reactions were:

  • Amina Juma: “This is beautiful. May God continue to bless your family.”
  • Brian Mwangi: “A mother’s sacrifices can never be repaid. Respect to Diamond.”
  • Grace Wanjiku: “Not everyone openly appreciates their parents like this.”
  • Salim Omari: “His success story always reminds people where he came from.”
  • Faith Njeri: “Happy birthday to Mama Dangote. She deserves all the love.”

A Lasting Legacy

Diamond Platnumz remains one of Africa’s most influential musicians, with numerous hit records, global collaborations and millions of followers across social media.

Beyond his own success, his record label has played a key role in nurturing some of Tanzania’s biggest musical talents, further cementing his influence on the East African entertainment industry.

Diamond Platnumz- “Everything I Own Belongs To My Mother”

Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz put an end to any speculation regarding his vast financial empire during his mother Sandra Dangote’s lavish 59th birthday celebration in July 2026. Speaking to gathered guests and media at his mother’s newly built mansion, the WCB Wasafi CEO made a heartfelt declaration, publicly confirming that every single asset and property under his name ultimately belongs to her.

In a candid speech, Diamond made no effort to hide the depth of his financial relationship with his mother, stating that he sees no reason to beat around the bush or hide the truth. He told the crowd that whatever belongs to him is inherently hers, adding that his wealth is entirely her wealth and that he could not pretend otherwise. The announcement was met with cheers from the star-studded crowd of family, friends, and Wasafi signees who gathered to celebrate the matriarch’s milestone birthday.

Millions Under Mum

This declaration of financial loyalty is particularly significant given the sheer scale of Diamond’s empire. As the head of WCB Wasafi—which houses high-profile artists, a major record label, and a broadcasting network including Wasafi TV and Radio—the musician’s net worth is estimated in the millions of dollars. His portfolio also spans multi-million dollar real estate holdings across East Africa, luxury car fleets, and highly lucrative international brand endorsements, all of which he has now publicly placed under his mother’s symbolic and financial custody.

The public declaration further cements the famously close, yet often scrutinized, bond between the Tanzanian musician and his mother. Over the years, Mama Dangote has been a polarizing figure in Diamond’s life, with critics often accusing her of being overly protective and interfering in his highly publicized romantic relationships with high-profile women like Zari Hassan, Tanasha Donna, and Hamisa Mobetto. By making this bold declaration, Diamond has signaled to both fans and future partners that Sandra Dangote remains the undisputed gatekeeper and ultimate beneficiary of his hard-earned fortune.

Baba Levo Says Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu Are Going Through a Disagreement, Predicts Reconciliation

Tanzanian entertainer-turned-politician Baba Levo has spoken about the reported breakup between singers Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz, expressing confidence that the couple will resolve their differences.

Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Baba Levo, a long-time associate of Diamond Platnumz, confirmed that the two are currently experiencing a disagreement but said he believes their relationship can still be salvaged.

“Ni ukweli kuna ugomvi na kiuhalisia, hii ugomvi ambayo umetokea unaweza kupelekea hawa watu wakatengana, tunazuia hilo lisitoke kwa sababu mimi nikimwangalia Zuchu na Diamond, naon ani watu wanapendana sana,” Baba Levo said.

‘We Want to Prevent a Separation’

According to Baba Levo, those close to the couple are working to understand the source of the conflict and help them reconcile before the situation worsens.

“Tutaangalia ni nini kina sababisha hayo matatizo na tutazuia,” he said.

He added that he remains optimistic the pair will mend their relationship, saying he expects Diamond to attend the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project in Kigoma on July 20 in good spirits.

“Nataka niwahakikishieni, Diamond ataenda kuimba Kigoma, tarehe ishirini ambapo tutakuwa tunazindua SGR, akiwa na furaha kwa sababu atakuwa na mke wake washapatana na mambo yatakuwa ni mazuri,” Baba Levo stated.

Breakup Announcement

Baba Levo’s remarks come just days after Zuchu announced that she and Diamond Platnumz had ended their relationship.

In a message shared with her fans, the singer said she had decided to walk away after six years together.

“Hello, my GPG. Mimi na aliyekuwa mwenzangu, we are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I have finally decided to choose myself,” Zuchu wrote.

Fans Await the Next Chapter

Although neither Zuchu nor Diamond has publicly shared further details about the reported split, Baba Levo’s comments have fuelled speculation that the pair could reconcile.

The two musicians have experienced several public breakups and reunions over the years, making their relationship one of East Africa’s most closely followed celebrity romances.

Whether the latest disagreement marks the end of their relationship or another temporary setback remains to be seen.

Moving On? Diamond Platnumz Flaunts New Woman Hours After Zuchu Announces Breakup

Bongo Flava superstar and Wasafi boss Diamond Platnumz has wasted no time showing off a new lady on his radar, just moments after his long-term partner Zuchu publicly announced the end of their six-year relationship.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the “Yatapita” hitmaker raised eyebrows by posting a photo of a mysterious beauty, soundtracked by his sultry track, “Natulizana”.

The Drama Leading to the Split

The social media reveal follows days of intense speculation surrounding the singer’s love life:

  • The Mother’s Day Event: At a recent high-profile event for Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote, the singer was spotted dancing sensually with a voluptuous woman who had brought gifts for his mother. Netizens immediately suspected she might be the reason behind recent friction in his camp.

  • The Pregnancy Rumors: During the same event, Diamond’s close ally and politician, Baba Levo, defended Zuchu’s absence by claiming she was pregnant.

Zuchu Calls It Quits After 6 Years

The pregnancy rumors were swiftly put to rest when Zuchu officially announced that their six-year journey had officially come to an end. Taking to her platforms, she stated she has no regrets or ill will, and is choosing to prioritize herself and her career.

“I think there have been many questions regarding me and my partner. The answer is that after six years together, our journey has ended. I wish Nasibu (Diamond) all the best. I have made this decision without any malice,” Zuchu wrote in Swahili.

“I’ve Never Been Dumped”

As the breakup trends online, an old video has resurfaced of Diamond confidently bragging that he has never been dumped in his life.

While this isn’t the first time the high-profile Tanzanian couple has split—having a well-known history of breaking up and making up—Zuchu’s definitive statement and Diamond’s immediate post of a new woman suggest this chapter might truly be closed.

Diamond Platnumz Explains Why He Rents Private Jets From Kenya Despite His Wealth

Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has addressed a question that has followed him for years — why he continues to rely on rented private jets for his international travels despite his massive success and wealth.

The singer revealed that many of the private aircraft he uses are sourced from neighbouring Kenya, particularly Nairobi, due to limitations in Tanzania’s private aviation market.

Speaking during an interview with Lil Ommy on Wasafi FM, Diamond explained the challenges involved in arranging luxury air travel for his busy international schedule.

The Nairobi Connection

Diamond Platnumz is known for his luxurious lifestyle, international performances and frequent business trips across the world.

However, when he requires a private jet, the aircraft often has to first travel from Nairobi before picking him up.

The Wasafi boss explained that Tanzania currently does not have enough aviation options that match his specific travel requirements, forcing him to look beyond the country’s borders.

He noted that the availability of suitable aircraft, convenience and service standards are some of the factors that influence his decision to use jets based in Kenya.

Business Losses and Lessons Learned

During the interview, Diamond also opened up about a difficult period in his business journey, revealing that a 2022 deal resulted in a major financial loss.

The singer described the experience as painful but said it taught him important lessons about business decisions and partnerships.

Despite facing setbacks, Diamond has continued to expand his brand, maintaining his position as one of East Africa’s most successful entertainers.

His remarks about private jet rentals have since sparked conversations among fans about the realities behind the luxurious lifestyles often seen among top celebrities.

Diamond Platnumz To Rising Stars- Treat Music As A Business And Reinvest Every Coin

Tanzanian music powerhouse and WCB Wasafi boss Diamond Platnumz has challenged upcoming artists to stop treating music like a hobby and start viewing it as a serious business. Speaking at the Zuchu Imbeju Masterclass on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the “Komosava” hitmaker urged young musicians to continually reinvest their early earnings directly back into their brands.

Diamond warned that a common pitfall for rising talent is diverting early profits into outside ventures or lifestyle inflation before fully cementing their place in the entertainment landscape.

“When you get money from music, don’t invest in business. Invest in music. If you don’t, it means you don’t trust music as a viable business.” — Diamond Platnumz

From Tsh 50,000 to the Global Stage

Reflecting on his journey from a struggling artist to an international icon, Diamond revealed that his very first paycheck was just Tsh 50,000 (roughly Ksh 2,400). Rather than spending it on immediate personal gratification, he deployed the entire sum strategically to elevate his brand value for his next booking.

How Diamond Reinvested His First Paycheck:

  • Stage Presence: He hired backup dancers to deliver a more dynamic, unforgettable live show.

  • Brand Identity: He spent the remainder on flashy, high-quality T-shirts to ensure he looked like a star on stage.

  • The Goal: Every cent went toward ensuring his next performance outclassed his last, making him irresistible to future promoters.

Mindset Over Immediate Profit

The Wasafi CEO emphasized that artists should not be discouraged by modest pay early on. Instead of focusing on the size of the check, creators must view their initial earnings strictly as growth capital.

He concluded by advising artists to prioritize patience and sacrifice over quick gratification. According to Diamond, building a sustainable career requires a relentless commitment to upgrading your performance package and image, which ultimately unlocks the door to premium, multi-million-shilling bookings.

Zuchu describes Diamond as a father and what she expects for their children

Zuchu has opened up about her hopes for the future with fellow musician Diamond Platnumz, revealing the kind of family life she hopes to build with him.

Speaking during an interview with a local Bongo radio station on Thursday, June 18, 2026, Zuchu said she looks forward to having children with Diamond and creating a more family-focused life together.

The singer explained that one of her biggest dreams is to become a mother with Diamond and eventually enjoy a quieter lifestyle filled with family moments, travel, and mutual support.

“I want to have kids with him, and after that, I would also want to travel with him and spend time at home together. I want to support him here and there,” Zuchu said.

She noted that welcoming children would mark a new chapter in their relationship, one that would involve balancing parenthood, personal growth, and their respective careers.

Leaving motherhood timing to God

Although Zuchu expressed her desire to have children, she said she does not have a specific timeline for motherhood, adding that she believes such blessings come according to God’s plan.

The singer said she is ready whenever the time comes and does not want to place pressure on the process.

“When I want to have kids, I would say it is okay anytime God finds it right to bless me. I cannot say I have planned it because it is God who plans. Whenever the child comes, I am ready,” she explained.

Her comments offered insight into her perspective on motherhood, with the singer emphasising that having children is a blessing rather than something that should be rushed.

Diamond’s dream of a big family

Zuchu also revealed that Diamond Platnumz has always expressed a desire to have a large family, saying he would like to have up to ten children.

“My man Diamond wants ten children,” she shared.

However, she admitted that her own expectations are different, saying she does not see herself raising such a big number of children.

According to Zuchu, she would be comfortable with a smaller family and believes two children would be manageable for her.

“But for me, I don’t think I can reach that number. The ones I can manage are only two,” she said.

Her remarks come amid continued public interest in her relationship with Diamond, with fans often following updates about their future plans and personal lives.

Zuchu reveals mum warned her Diamond is a lothario

Tanzanian singer Khadija Kopa, who is also the mother of Bongo Flava star Zuchu, has opened up about the advice she gave her daughter before approving her relationship with music star Diamond Platnumz.

Speaking during an interview shared by a local Tanzanian radio station on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Khadija revealed that when Zuchu informed her about plans to marry Diamond, she cautioned her to ensure the relationship was serious and officially recognised.

“I warned her that Diamond Platnumz was already highly desired by women even before marriage. I told her to make sure it was not just a boyfriend-and-girlfriend relationship and that he should follow all the proper procedures for a real and fully recognised marriage,” she said.

Khadija further described Diamond as being “like a machine gun,” a phrase she said still amuses the singer whenever he remembers it.

According to her, the description reflected the amount of attention and admiration he receives from women due to his fame and popularity.

“I told my daughter that Diamond is like a machine gun. Even today, Diamond still laughs whenever he remembers me describing him that way,” she shared.

She explained that she was concerned her daughter could easily feel overwhelmed because of the constant attention the musician attracts from women and people within entertainment circles.

“I was telling my daughter that such a man can overwhelm someone because he is in such high demand and all the city women want him. Even people close to him admire him, so I asked her whether she would manage,” she added.

Khadija said she later told Zuchu that if she truly believed she could handle the relationship, she should formally bring Diamond home so the family could meet him and give their approval.

“That is when I told her that if she believed she could manage the situation, then she should bring him to me so I could meet and approve him,” she explained.

The singer also spoke about marriage traditions in Zanzibar, noting that their culture does not necessarily require formal letters when a man intends to marry a woman.

“In Zanzibar culture, when a man wants to marry a woman, they do not have to write a formal letter like in some other Swahili traditions. Word of mouth is enough,” she said.

Khadija recalled that Diamond later approached her directly and expressed his intentions to marry Zuchu, explaining that he admired her character and qualities.

She added that the musician also shared that he had been praying to God about the relationship.

“Diamond came and told me he had fallen in love with my daughter and wanted to marry her because he admired her character. He also said he had been praying to God about it,” she added.

Ibraah reveals how Diamond’s mewntorship helped him deal with exiting Harmonize’s Konde Gang

Tanzanian singer Ibraah has addressed claims surrounding his exit from Konde Gang, clarifying the role played by Diamond Platnumz in his decision to leave the label.

Speaking in an interview on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Ibraah dismissed widespread speculation that Diamond influenced his departure or sought to weaken Konde Gang. Instead, he offered a different perspective based on his personal experience.

Setting the Record Straight

Ibraah explained that public perception is often shaped by fans who speak on behalf of artists, sometimes creating narratives that may not reflect reality. In contrast, he described Diamond as someone who supported him during a difficult period in his career.

“When we talk about fans, even Diamond’s fans sometimes speak on his behalf. But when I talk about Diamond, I speak of him as someone who helped me during a time when things were hard for me until things got better,” he said.

Support During a Difficult Transition

The singer revealed that at a time when he was struggling within the label, Diamond stepped in and offered assistance that helped him transition into an independent artiste.

According to Ibraah, the support he received allowed him to pursue his music freely and earn directly from his work without being tied to a record label.

“The great thing about the help Diamond gave me is that now, as a solo artiste… whatever small earnings I get from music are mine,” he said, adding that the intervention helped him stay on track with his dreams.

Legal Help and Career Freedom

One of the most significant forms of support, Ibraah disclosed, was assistance in securing legal representation. As he prepared to leave Konde Gang, Diamond helped him find a lawyer, making the transition smoother and more structured.

He emphasised that this kind of support was invaluable, especially coming from an established figure in the industry who understood the challenges he was facing.

No Signing Talks

Despite their close association, Ibraah also addressed ongoing speculation about joining Diamond’s label. He clarified that the two have never held discussions about a possible signing.

“People kept asking me why Diamond has not signed me… but this is business. When he feels like signing me, he will,” he said.

He maintained that while fans often expect such a move, decisions of that nature are purely business-driven and should happen at the right time, if at all.

Grateful for the Support

Ibraah concluded by noting that the help he received from Diamond was significant—arguably more impactful than being signed to his label. He credited the Bongo Flava star for stepping in when he needed guidance most, allowing him to move forward independently and with greater control over his career.

Diamond Platnumz accused of abandoning his sick manager, Said Mkubwa Fella

Diamond Platnumz’s former manager, Said Mkubwa Fella, is reportedly bedridden as he continues to struggle with serious health complications, a situation his wife says has left her emotionally drained and financially overwhelmed.

Speaking to Tanzanian journalists, Sweet Fella opened up about her husband’s condition and explained why she decided to speak publicly. According to her, many people who once depended on Mkubwa Fella have disappeared, partly because of the belief that Diamond Platnumz is fully taking care of the family—an assumption she says is far from the truth.

“I did not speak out so that people would repay my husband for the good he did for them,” she said. “I wanted people to know that I am fighting alone to make sure my husband gets better.”

She recalled that when Mkubwa Fella was healthy, his phone was constantly ringing. Calls would come in late at night and even into the early hours of the morning. If he did not pick up, people would call her and ask her to wake him because they needed his help.

“Today, all those calls are gone,” she said, describing the sudden silence as both painful and confusing.

Sweet Fella revealed that she is now carrying the full financial burden of her husband’s medical care, despite his significant role in shaping and supporting several careers within Tanzania’s entertainment industry.

Addressing Diamond Platnumz’s involvement, she acknowledged that the Wasafi boss helped cover the costs of Mkubwa Fella’s medical trip to India last year, but said the assistance stopped there.

“Diamond knows Fella is sick. He helped us go to India for treatment, and for that I am grateful,” she said in a phone interview with Global Online TV. “But after that, there has been silence. I believe he could have done more, and that is why I wanted people to understand that I am now on my own.”

Diamond Platnumz Breaks Silence For The First Time Amid Tanzania’s Post-Election Turmoil

Tanzanian music icon and philanthropist Diamond Platnumz has publicly called for peace and unity in the country following the highly disputed 2025 general election.

In a message shared on his Instagram stories, the star expressed a heartfelt plea for stability after weeks of unrest that has rocked the nation:

“Inshaallah Mwenyezi Mungu atujaalie amani zaidi ya tuliyokuwa nayo mwanzo, atujaalie upendo zaidi, umoja, mshikamano, maendeleo na azilaze roho za waliotangulia mahala pema peponi. Amina,” Diamond wrote. (Translation: Insha’Allah (God willing), may the Almighty grant us more peace than we had initially, grant us more love, unity, solidarity, development, and may He rest the souls of those who have passed away in paradise. Amen.)

Backlash and the Violent Aftermath

Diamond’s message followed a period of intense public backlash he and other celebrities faced for initially supporting the ruling party and remaining silent as the national crisis escalated.

The violence erupted after the October 29, 2025, elections, which the opposition alleged were marred by voter suppression and the exclusion of key leaders. Protests quickly spread from Dar es Salaam to other cities, demanding transparency and accountability.

The government responded with a heavy security presence, deploying the military and police, enforcing curfews, and restricting internet access across the country. Human rights groups and opposition sources have reported hundreds of deaths during clashes between protesters and security forces, with numerous civilians treated for injuries and many others detained. The government has denied using excessive force.

For celebrities like Diamond Platnumz, who had publicly aligned with President Samia Suluhu, the situation created a significant challenge, with many fans accusing them of prioritizing their careers over the suffering of ordinary citizens.

Diamond Platnumz Deletes All Pro-Samia Posts as Deadly Post-Election Protests Shake Tanzania

Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz has shocked fans after abruptly deleting all photos and videos supporting CCM presidential candidate Samia Suluhu Hassan from his social media accounts.

The dramatic move comes amid widespread protests and unrest following Tanzania’s disputed October 29, 2025, general election, which has left several regions engulfed in violence.

Diamond Erases Political Endorsements Amid Rising Tensions

Sources close to the artist revealed that the purge was likely a precautionary step, as tensions escalate and public figures affiliated with the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) face growing hostility from opposition supporters.

In recent days, videos circulating online have shown angry mobs targeting property belonging to celebrities and influencers who openly campaigned for President Samia’s re-election.

Among the victims is rapper Billnas, whose electronics store was vandalized and set ablaze. His wife, singer Nandy, confirmed the incident on social media, condemning the attacks. Similarly, Bongo movie star Shilole reportedly lost her restaurant in Dar es Salaam after protesters torched it, accusing her of “supporting oppression.”

Diamond, one of the most prominent celebrity endorsers of Samia’s campaign, had featured in rallies, campaign songs, and televised ads promoting her candidacy. His sudden online clean-up has therefore sparked intense debate — with some calling it an act of self-preservation, while others view it as cowardice under pressure.

“Given the violence targeting CCM supporters and those linked to the ruling party, Diamond’s move makes sense. He’s protecting himself and his brand,” a source from his Wasafi label told local media.

Political Backdrop: Tanzania’s Contentious 2025 Election

The 2025 Tanzanian general election has been described by observers as one of the most tense in the nation’s history. President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who assumed office in 2021 following the death of John Magufuli, sought a renewed mandate under the CCM banner.

Her main challenger, Tundu Lissu of the opposition Chadema Party, accused the ruling party of vote rigging, intimidation, and internet blackouts, claims that have inflamed public anger.

As protests spread across Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, and Dodoma, reports of vandalism, clashes, and arrests continue to surface. Human rights groups and international observers have called for restraint and transparency, urging authorities to respect citizens’ right to peaceful protest.

Celebrities Face Fallout in Post-Election Violence

Tanzania’s entertainment industry — long intertwined with politics — is now feeling the shockwaves. Many artists who once proudly campaigned for CCM are distancing themselves from political involvement, fearing public backlash and economic loss.

For Diamond, who commands one of Africa’s largest fan bases, the decision to erase all pro-Samia content marks a significant retreat from political engagement.

Whether this marks a temporary pause or a permanent shift in his political stance remains unclear. But amid Tanzania’s ongoing turmoil, one thing is certain: the nation’s post-election crisis has blurred the line between celebrity influence and political consequence.

Zuchu Showers Diamond Platnumz with Love on His Birthday

Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz marked his birthday with an outpouring of affection from fans, family, and fellow artists. But the most heartfelt tribute came from his partner and fellow singer, Zuchu, who went all out to celebrate the special day.

Zuchu’s Heartfelt Tribute

Taking to social media, Zuchu penned a moving message filled with admiration and playful affection. She described Diamond as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) while showering him with a string of affectionate titles in both Swahili and English.

Her list included endearing phrases such as “Boss,” “Hero,” “Kiboko yangu,” “Mentor wangu,” “Msimamizi wangu,” “Danga langu,” “Last say wangu,” “Muchuchu wangu,” and even “boyfriend.” But the most striking was when she publicly referred to him as “Mume wangu” (my husband), underscoring the depth of their bond.

Playfully, she also coined a quirky nickname for him — “my shmugum.”

Humor and Love Combined

Beyond the affectionate names, Zuchu kept the tribute lighthearted. She joked about constantly “getting on his nerves,” cheekily declared that he didn’t need gifts because “he already has her,” and ended with a playful warning for him to prepare for their shared future.

“As I promise to hit your head up and get on your last nerve forever, I also want to wish you a happy birthday, my shmugum,” she wrote.

Diamond’s Loving Response

Diamond Platnumz quickly acknowledged the public show of love with an equally emotional reply. He affectionately called Zuchu “Usingizi wangu” (my rest, my peace) and followed it up with a heartfelt declaration:

“Usingizi wangu… This man here loves you so much.”

A Double Celebration

The day carried extra meaning for Diamond, one of Africa’s biggest music stars. His birthday coincided with that of his son, Naseeb Junior, whom he shares with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.

As fans celebrated the music giant’s new year, Zuchu’s message stood out — a blend of romance, admiration, and humor that reflected the couple’s strong bond both privately and publicly.

Diamond Platnumz and Mbosso Feud Erupts Into Public War of Words

A simmering rivalry between Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz and his former WCB Wasafi signee Mbosso has exploded into a heated public spat, with accusations, revelations, and warnings flying across social media.

How It Started

The feud intensified after Mbosso allegedly suggested that Diamond was envious of his success. The claim triggered a fiery response from the Wasafi boss, who dismissed the accusation as baseless.

“In your statements, you are forcing me to be involved, claiming that we are envying you. What would I envy you for anyway? And how would that help me?” Diamond posted on Instagram Stories.

The issue escalated further when Diamond’s close ally, Baba Levo, shared a video appearing to show Diamond guiding Mbosso in creating the melody for his hit track “Pawa.”

The ‘Pawa’ Revelations

In a surprising twist, Diamond admitted to having played a major role in shaping “Pawa”—even after Mbosso’s departure from Wasafi. He said he stepped in because the song wasn’t strong enough and wanted to help it succeed.

But Diamond didn’t stop there. He claimed that his creative contributions to Mbosso’s catalogue run deep, asserting that he wrote between 40% and 90% of many of Mbosso’s biggest tracks, including “Hodari,” “Baikoko,” “Shetani,” and “Assalaam.”

“Approximately 90% of all your songs… others 40%, others 50%, and others up to 90%,” he revealed.

Forgiven Debts and Past Generosity

Diamond also dropped a financial bombshell, disclosing that Mbosso’s exit clause from WCB Wasafi was Tsh 323,250,000. He claimed he waived the entire fee out of goodwill to allow Mbosso to restart his career without financial burden.

The Final Warning

Wrapping up his tirade, Diamond warned Mbosso—and anyone else tempted to disrespect him—that while he doesn’t seek recognition, he demands respect.

He described himself as someone who chooses patience over conflict but cautioned that his silence should never be mistaken for weakness.

“I am truly crazy, and I don’t take nonsense,” Diamond declared, reminding fans that his no-nonsense reputation goes back to his early days in the industry.

Diamond Platnumz’s Claims Some Of His Children Are Not Actually His (Video)

Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz has once again ignited a firestorm of controversy after making a stunning claim that some of his children might not be his biological offspring. The bombshell revelation, made during a recent interview, has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and raised serious questions about the paternity of his children with ex-partners Zari Hassan, Hamisa Mobetto, and Tanasha Donna.

During the interview, the “Jeje” hitmaker reportedly stated that while he loves all his children and provides for them, he has doubts about the paternity of some, citing a lack of trust during his past relationships. This claim has re-ignited old rumors and speculations that have followed the artist for years, particularly regarding his first child with Zari Hassan, Princess Tiffah. Years ago, Diamond even conducted a DNA test on Tiffah to put an end to rumors, which confirmed he was the biological father. Despite this, his recent statements have brought the sensitive issue back into the public eye.

The public’s reaction has been swift and largely critical. Many social media users have condemned the artist for publicly airing such private and potentially damaging family matters. Fans and critics alike have expressed sympathy for the mothers and children, who are now at the center of a very public and emotionally charged discussion. The mothers of his children have yet to issue a unified public statement regarding the recent claims, but past responses to similar rumors have been varied, ranging from defiance to emotional public outbursts. The latest claim adds a new layer of drama to his complex co-parenting relationships.

The unverified claims have created a wave of speculation and have put Diamond’s personal life under intense scrutiny once again. His comments underscore the fragile and complicated nature of his family dynamics, which have long been a subject of public fascination.

This video provides an overview of an interview where Diamond Platnumz opens up about his relationships and family.

How Zuchu Used A Fake Feud With Diamond To Launch A New Song

A video call that recently went viral, appearing to show Tanzanian singer Zuchu confronting her long-rumored partner, Diamond Platnumz, about a mysterious woman named “Amanda,” has been revealed to be a clever publicity stunt for Zuchu’s new song.

The video, which Zuchu uploaded to her social media, quickly set the internet ablaze. In the clip, Zuchu is seen questioning Diamond about persistent late-night calls from a woman she identified as Amanda. The conversation’s apparent tension, with Zuchu saying,;

“I know you can hear me, I can see your eyes moving,” while Diamond feigned a network issue, led fans to believe their high-profile relationship was in jeopardy.

However, subsequent posts and social media analysis have confirmed that the entire scenario was a carefully crafted promotional campaign for Zuchu’s new single, aptly titled “Amanda.” The song itself is a “fiery heartbreak anthem” about love, betrayal, and a mysterious woman who calls in the middle of the night—mirroring the viral video almost exactly.

The stunt, which cleverly blurred the lines between reality and marketing, generated a massive amount of speculation and discussion across East Africa. The name “Amanda” became a trending topic within hours, with fans debating whether the drama was real or a setup. By initially presenting the exchange as a genuine moment of conflict, Zuchu and Diamond successfully created an intense buzz, driving curiosity and anticipation for the eventual song release.

This isn’t the first time an artist from the Bongo Flava scene has used a personal-seeming drama to promote new music. The strategy, while controversial, has proven effective in capturing public attention in the crowded digital entertainment space. Zuchu’s move has not only pushed her new single to the forefront but has also solidified her reputation as a savvy marketer who understands how to leverage her public persona for commercial success.

Diamond Platnumz Rejects Jay Z’s Roc Nation Offer, Opts for $5M Warner Music Deal

Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has revealed that he turned down a lucrative offer from Jay Z’s Roc Nation in favor of a more expansive and financially rewarding partnership with Warner Music Group.

In a recent interview, Diamond addressed claims that Tanzanian artists were being overlooked by global record labels, shedding light on the specifics of his own high-profile contracts.

“I ended my deal with Universal, which was worth $1 million. Roc Nation came in with a $250,000 offer — that’s about TSh675 million — but I declined. Warner offered me $5 million, around TSh13.5 billion, so I signed with Warner,” he said.

On May 18, 2021, Warner Music Group announced a strategic full-service (360-degree) partnership with Diamond and his Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB Wasafi) label. The deal involves Warner Music South Africa and regional distributor Ziiki Media, supporting everything from recording and publishing to touring, merchandising, and licensing.

At the time, Alfonso Perez-Soto, then-President of Emerging Markets at Warner, hailed the partnership as a pioneering model for elevating African artists to global stages.

A 360-degree deal gives a record label shared rights and revenue streams across various aspects of an artist’s career — including music sales, live performances, branding, and publishing — in exchange for more substantial upfront investments and broader career support.

Why He Turned Down Roc Nation

Diamond explained that Warner’s offer not only dwarfed Roc Nation’s in monetary value but also reflected the label’s commitment to growing his brand and nurturing WCB Wasafi’s artist roster.

“Warner had already put in significant work to develop what I’m building. It wasn’t just about the money — it was about long-term growth and vision,” he noted.

From Universal to Warner

Before his Warner deal, Diamond had signed a distribution agreement with Universal Music Group in 2017. That $1 million deal enabled him to release his 2018 album A Boy from Tandale and expanded his reach across major African markets.

This earlier partnership helped solidify Diamond’s status as one of Africa’s most successful musicians.

Setting a New Standard for African Talent

Diamond’s decision to walk away from Roc Nation’s offer reflects a growing shift in the global music industry — one where African artists now command stronger negotiating power thanks to streaming dominance and global appeal.

By March 2020, Diamond became the first Africa-based artist to surpass 900 million views on YouTube. His channel remains the most-subscribed of any artist in sub-Saharan Africa.

Implications for Global Labels and Artists

The move sends a clear message: international labels must now offer competitive deals or risk missing out on Africa’s top talent. For WCB Wasafi, the Warner partnership offers world-class infrastructure and global reach while reinforcing the label’s autonomy and influence.

For Roc Nation and other global players, Diamond’s rejection is a wake-up call — modest offers won’t cut it in a market where African stars are now fully aware of their global value.

As Diamond continues to build WCB Wasafi’s empire, his decision marks a new era where African artists lead the charge in shaping their futures — and the global music industry must follow their lead.

Zuchu Warns Late-Night Callers: “Stop Calling My Husband”

Tanzanian singer Zuchu has issued a pointed warning to individuals making late-night phone calls to her partner, Diamond Platnumz, sparking fresh conversation about their relationship and privacy.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Zuchu expressed visible frustration, questioning the motives behind such late-hour contact.

“He Has a Wife”: Zuchu’s Firm Message

“I just don’t understand why someone would call a married man usiku wa manane [late at night]. Don’t you know he has a wife?” Zuchu wrote.

She followed up with a sharper post, appearing to directly address the person she suspects.

“If you know your name starts with A, I see your calls. Stop calling my husband,” she warned.

A Relationship Under the Spotlight

Zuchu’s remarks come in the wake of reports that she and Diamond Platnumz tied the knot in a private Islamic ceremony in Dar es Salaam in late May 2025. The intimate event was reportedly attended by close family and friends, with the couple dressed in traditional white Muslim attire.

Zuchu further confirmed the marriage by referring to Diamond as “my husband” in a recent video and updating her Instagram bio to read “Mrs Naseeb”, referencing Diamond’s birth name, Naseeb Abdul Juma.

Diamond Platnumz on Keeping It Private

Diamond Platnumz has also addressed their union, acknowledging the decision to keep the marriage discreet to avoid distracting from his music career.

“I didn’t want people to lose focus on the music and start focusing on my relationship. People don’t always understand,” he said during a UK concert appearance.

In a related interview, Diamond confirmed that a “traditional thing” happened “back in the day”, but emphasized it wasn’t an official or widely known ceremony at the time.

“Yes, we did something small, very private, and honestly, nobody really knew. I decided to keep it that way,” he explained.

Fans React

The singer’s public plea for respect has triggered a flurry of reactions online, with many supporting Zuchu for standing her ground, while others speculated about the identity behind the mysterious “A.”

The couple’s relationship continues to capture public attention, and Zuchu’s bold statement underscores the challenges of managing fame, love, and privacy in the spotlight.

Diamond And Zuchu Confirm Dowry Acceptance

Tanzanian music stars Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu have reportedly taken a significant step in their relationship. On June 1st, 2025, it was announced that Platnumz presented dowry to Zuchu’s family, the Othmans, and it was “joyfully accepted.”

Following the successful dowry ceremony, Zuchu, an artist under Platnumz’s WCB Wasafi label, has affectionately begun referring to him as “mme wangu” (my husband).

The Wasafi mogul himself shared photos from the ceremony, accompanied by a lengthy statement revealing his decision to marry quietly, a move that might surprise many of his fans.

He hinted at a past, undisclosed marriage, stating, “I know each of you has a completely different picture about Diamond Platnumz and getting married, but I just want to tell you today that Diamond Platnumz is married, and one day I will tell you how it happened.” This suggests a deeper, perhaps private, narrative to his marital status.

Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu: Dowry Paid, Marriage Confirmed

mum confirmed that indeed it’s bound to happen and that the two are deeply in love. Even though Diamond previously stated that marriage would slow him down career wise, he seems to have changed his mind on the latter. He already has baby mamas out here and the co-parenting isn’t quite bad. Zuchu is however, the lucky one.

Zuchu’s Mum Confirms Diamond Married Zuchu

Celebrated Taarab singer Khadija Kopa has officially confirmed that her daughter, Bongo star Zuchu, has indeed tied the knot with music heavyweight Diamond Platnumz. Kopa shared the news during a phone interview with a Tanzanian radio station, expressing her immense joy and offering blessings to the newlyweds.

“When someone gets married, we give thanks. Alhamdulillah, because it’s not that we want our children to live in sin,” Khadija stated, adding, “We are grateful to God because we prefer our children to marry and live peacefully. They did it secretly, but we are thankful. Alhamdulillah. I pray for blessings upon them, may they bear good children who will respect them.”

Private Ceremony and Parental Absence Addressed

Khadija also addressed the online buzz surrounding the absence of Zuchu’s biological father from the wedding, particularly his omission from the traditional act of handing over the bride. She clarified that the couple had long decided that Zuchu would be given away by an elder of her choice. Furthermore, she explained that her divorce from Zuchu’s father also played a role in this decision.

Adding to the surprise, Khadija revealed that she herself was not present at the ceremony. “No, I wasn’t there at all. It was something none of us knew about,” she confessed. “They kept it completely private and only informed us afterwards. They refused to have a public ceremony.”

The news follows a series of photos posted by Diamond Platnumz on June 1st, which had strongly hinted at a wedding with Zuchu. The images showed the couple in elegant, all-white traditional Muslim attire, with their heads respectfully covered, surrounded by elders who appeared to be officiating the union. The confirmation from Khadija Kopa now solidifies the rumors, much to the delight of their fans.

Diamond Platnumz Sparks Buzz Over Second Wife Comments at Juma Jux’s Wedding

Diamond Platnumz set social media abuzz once again—this time over comments he made while attending his close friend Juma Jux’s wedding in Lagos, Nigeria.

The WCB Wasafi boss, who stood as best man at the glamorous white wedding, found himself in the spotlight after an unexpected moment during the ceremony. While addressing the bridal party, the officiating pastor turned to Diamond and playfully asked if he was married. When Diamond responded that he wasn’t, the pastor turned to the maid of honor and jokingly offered to connect the two.

“Best man, are you okay? Are you married? Do you like her? I’ll give you her phone number,” the pastor said, drawing laughter from the crowd.

The moment went viral instantly, with fans and social media users wondering if the pastor truly knew who Diamond was—or whether he was aware of Zuchu, the singer Diamond has been romantically linked to for years.

Later, Diamond posted a video from the after-party, energetically dancing and declaring that he’s ready to settle down—with a second wife from Nigeria, adding that he already has one in Tanzania.

The statement reignited curiosity about his relationship with Zuchu, with fans questioning whether she still held a place in his future.

Baba Levo Weighs In

In response to Diamond’s remarks, his friend Baba Levo stepped in with a firm declaration:

“Diamond hawezi oa Nigeria. Diamond ata oa Zuchu na tumeshakubaliana,” he said.

(All major venues will host the celebration so everyone can witness their favorite artist tying the knot.)

Zuchu: Still in the Picture?

Juma Jux tied the knot with Priscilla Ajoke in Lagos in a ceremony that dazzled fans across the continent, but many couldn’t help but shift their focus to Diamond’s statements—and Zuchu’s role in his life.

Zuchu has long been linked to the Bongo Flava star, with the two navigating a high-profile on-and-off relationship that has unfolded in the public eye. Despite multiple breakups and reconciliations, Zuchu has remained hopeful about their future—often gaining sympathy from fans who feel she deserves more clarity.

Now, with Diamond openly declaring his intentions to take another wife, fans are once again left wondering: is Zuchu still the one? Or will his next move take him further from home—and deeper into controversy?

Either way, Diamond knows how to keep fans watching.

“I need a wife, I want to chill, I want to settle down. I need a Nigerian wife. I have a wife in Tanzania, but I want a second wife. Don’t judge me,” he declared, drawing laughter and gasps from those around him.

Even the pastor officiating the wedding couldn’t resist pulling Diamond into the spotlight. During the ceremony, he jokingly asked whether the singer was married, then turned to a bridesmaid to see if she might be a good match.

The lighthearted moment instantly went viral, fueling conversations across social media.

Adding to the intrigue, Diamond was later seen with Malkia, a well-known Instagram socialite who also attended the wedding. Their cozy appearance sparked fresh speculation about whether she could be his next romantic interest.

Mange Kimambi Exposes Diamond Platnumz for Allegedly Ghosting Zuchu on Dowry Payment

Tanzanian blogging queen Mange Kimambi has set the entertainment world ablaze with bombshell allegations involving Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz and his rumored fiancée, Zuchu. According to Kimambi, the celebrated singer pulled a disappearing act at a crucial moment—when he was supposed to take formal steps in securing his relationship with the “Sukari” hitmaker.

Kimambi claims that Diamond was expected to proceed with the dowry payment, a significant cultural step to solidify his commitment to Zuchu. However, when the time came, he was nowhere to be found, allegedly leaving Zuchu and her family in an embarrassing and uncertain position. This shocking turn of events has led many to question the legitimacy of the relationship and whether Diamond ever had serious intentions of making Zuchu his wife.

The revelations have sparked widespread debate among fans and followers, with some expressing sympathy for Zuchu while others speculate on Diamond’s real motives. The self-proclaimed “Simba” is known for his high-profile relationships, but this latest claim has cast doubt on whether his romance with Zuchu was ever meant to last.

Neither Diamond nor Zuchu has publicly responded to Kimambi’s allegations, leaving fans eager for clarity on the situation. As the story unfolds, the Bongo Flava community watches closely to see if the superstar will address the claims or if silence will continue to fuel the controversy.

Diamond Platnumz Caught in Another Cheating Scandal as Alleged Mistress Speaks Out

Diamond Platnumz has once again found himself at the center of a cheating controversy after an alleged mistress leaked their private photos and videos online.

The WCB President has been trending for the past 24 hours following the release of never-before-seen images, which prompted him to respond.

In a statement, Diamond admitted that he was previously involved with the woman in question but clarified that their relationship ended in 2023. He accused her of attempting to blackmail him by leaking the content and demanding money.

https://www.ghafla.co.ke/ke/love-lies-and-controversy-diamond-platnumzs-tangled-affair-with-rita-norbeth/

He further stated that the issue had already been reported to the relevant authorities and reassured his fans that his current partner, Zuchu, was aware of the situation and had forgiven him.

“I have seen clips circulating online that involve me. These are old clips from 2023, and I broke up with the woman nearly two years ago. I have already explained everything to my partner, and we have moved on. However, the woman is now using these clips, along with false messages, to blackmail me for financial gain. The matter has been reported to the authorities, and legal steps are being taken,” Diamond stated.

Alleged Mistress Responds

The woman, identified as Rita, has since refuted Diamond’s claims, insisting that she was the one who ended their relationship in November 2024.

She stated that she walked away after realizing he was not serious about their relationship. According to her, Diamond’s claim that they broke up in 2023 is false, as that was the year Zuchu discovered their affair.

https://www.ghafla.co.ke/ke/zari-clarifies-relationship-with-diamond-purely-good-vibes/

Rita also alleged that the messages in question were simply her asking for house rent that Diamond had promised but failed to pay. Additionally, she accused him of being unfaithful to her with other women while they were in South Africa together.

The scandal has sparked mixed reactions online, with many questioning whether Diamond’s relationship with Zuchu can withstand yet another controversy.

Love, Lies, and Controversy: Diamond Platnumz’s Tangled Affair with Rita Norbeth

The recent drama surrounding Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz and Rita Norbeth has sparked intense discussions online and within the entertainment industry across Africa. Known for his talent in Bongo Flava music and his highly publicized personal life, Diamond has once again found himself at the center of attention after private videos and messages involving him and a woman named Rita Norbeth surfaced.
According to reports circulating online, videos of Diamond Platnumz and Rita Norbeth, alleged to be his secret lover, have gone viral on social media. The clips show the two in intimate situations, triggering widespread debate. Diamond issued an official statement via his Instagram account, claiming that the videos were old, recorded back in 2023, and that he and Rita have had no relationship since then. He also mentioned that he had informed his current girlfriend, Zuchu, about the situation, and the couple had forgiven each other and moved on with their lives.
However, these statements have not stopped many from questioning Diamond’s fidelity and his pattern of personal conduct. Some accuse him of maintaining multiple romantic relationships simultaneously, a recurring theme in his past conflicts with individuals and industry peers. Rita Norbeth, who is now said to have been pregnant from their alleged relationship, has also responded by sharing her side of the story, claiming she felt wronged and was using the old messages and videos as a means of self-defense.
This controversy has added fuel to the ongoing feud between Diamond and others in the industry, including Harmonize and other artists who have previously criticized him. Fans are divided, with some supporting Diamond while others believe he should take more responsibility for his actions. Some of Zuchu’s followers have expressed outrage, suggesting that this drama could jeopardize her relationship with Diamond, although Zuchu has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
On her part, Rita Norbeth has faced significant public scrutiny after being accused of “blackmailing” Diamond. In some online posts, she has argued that she wanted to present her side of the story and reveal the truth about their relationship. However, Diamond has maintained that the issue is now in the hands of the courts, and he sees no need to comment further until a legal decision is reached.
This saga has become a hot topic on social media, especially given Diamond Platnumz’s status as one of East Africa’s biggest music stars. Some view these dramas as part of the price of fame, while others believe they harm the music industry and his personal reputation. Still, many agree that Diamond should focus more on his private life to avoid such controversies in the future.
For now, the situation between Diamond, Rita, and Zuchu remains tense, with fans eagerly awaiting the outcome of this drama. Will Diamond manage to regain public trust, or will this controversy continue to be a source of debate for some time? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: the African music scene is never short of thrilling stories.

Diamond Breaks Silence on Mbosso’s Departure from Wasafi Records

Diamond Platnumz has officially addressed Mbosso’s departure from Wasafi Records, confirming yet another major exit from the label.

Mbosso, born Mbwana Yusuf Kilungi, joined Wasafi in 2018 and has been among its most successful artists. While rumors of his departure had been circulating, Diamond has now clarified that the transition is nearly complete.

According to Baba Levo, a close associate of Diamond, Mbosso is leaving without any financial obligations—a gesture of goodwill acknowledging his deep respect for Diamond and the Wasafi leadership. The label is also set to sign nine new artists in 2025.

Diamond Confirms Departure Talks Are Concluded

Diamond himself confirmed that discussions with Mbosso had been ongoing and that both parties had reached an amicable resolution.

“We have had positive discussions with Mbosso regarding managing his own career, and everything has been finalized smoothly. Please disregard any unofficial reports until Mbosso and I make an official statement.”

Mbosso had previously stated that if he were to leave Wasafi, he wanted it to be on good terms, ensuring no animosity between him and the label.

Previous Departures from Wasafi Records

Mbosso now joins other former Wasafi artists, including Harmonize, Rayvanny, and Rich Mavoko.

Harmonize paid Tsh500 million (Ksh22.4 million) to exit his contract, while Rayvanny settled Tsh1.3 billion (Ksh68.9 million) for his release. Rich Mavoko’s departure, however, was marred by controversy, leading to a strained relationship with the label.

Diamond Reflects on Life Lessons from Celebrity Ex

Despite his reputation as a playboy with a string of high-profile relationships in Tanzania’s entertainment scene, Bongo Flava star Diamond Platnumz has revealed his most painful heartbreak.

The celebrated singer and businessman, known for leaving a trail of broken hearts, admitted that actress Jacqueline Wolper was the one who truly turned the tables on him.

A decade ago, as Diamond’s music career was taking off and Wolper was thriving in the Bongo film industry, the two were romantically involved. However, they kept their relationship under wraps, even after their breakup, leaving gossip blogs to speculate. Over the years, they reconciled and became close friends, with Diamond attending several of Wolper’s social events.

https://www.ghafla.co.ke/ke/zari-clarifies-relationship-with-diamond-purely-good-vibes/

Although it has been over ten years since their romance ended, Diamond confessed that Wolper was the one who gave him a life-changing lesson in love.

“Jackline Wolper broke my heart so badly when we were together. The pain was so intense that it inspired me to write the song ‘Mawazo’ for her,” he shared in a recent interview.

The song, which features former Tanzanian model Jokate Mwegelo and socialite Hamisa Mobetto—both of whom Diamond later dated—expresses his deep love for Wolper and the heartbreak he endured when she toyed with his emotions despite his devotion.

https://www.ghafla.co.ke/ke/diamond-platnumz-reveals-he-can-get-zari-back-at-any-point-in-time-if-he-wanted-her/

Years later, Wolper went on to date Harmonize, who was then signed under Diamond’s WCB Wasafi label. After their breakup, Diamond and Wolper initially kept their distance, but when she got involved with Harmonize—who was close to Diamond at the time—the two rekindled their friendship.

Harmonize eventually ended things with Wolper, accusing her of attempting to revive her past romance with Diamond. He alleged that she tried to lure Diamond back with promises of giving him a son.

This differs from how their relationship was portrayed on Young, Famous & African, where Diamond often implied that Zari still had feelings for him.

Zari also addressed her marriage to Shakib Cham, revealing that he initially had concerns about her dynamic with Diamond. These concerns were heightened when Diamond suggested on the reality show that Zari wanted more children with him—a claim she strongly denied.

While Shakib was initially wary, Zari said he later came to trust her intentions.

“My husband had issues with my closeness to Diamond because the vibe can sometimes be misinterpreted. But as a married woman, I now understand the importance of respecting my husband and our marriage,” she explained.

Diamond Platnumz reveals he can get Zari back at any point in time if he wanted her

Diamond Platnumz has made a sensational admission, he can get back Zari if he wanted to but he doesn’t have the desire to get his family back together.

The couple’s love was intense, marked by a blood covenant they made as a symbol of their commitment—something Wema now admits she was reluctant to do due to their young age. Diamond even dedicated a song, “Nawaza,” to Wema, immortalizing their relationship in music.

Their on-and-off relationship lasted over five years before ending in 2014 when Diamond began a relationship with Ugandan-South African socialite Zari Hassan. “I cannot be paid $150,000 and then fight to get on stage. I’ll arrive at the venue on time and wait for the organiser to invite me to perform at the agreed time. I will keep track of my allocated time, and if it runs out, I will leave, keeping the payment,” Diamond stated.

He further noted that he does not engage in disputes with fellow artists or negotiate for stage time, underscoring his disciplined approach to his music career.

“I don’t have time to argue with event organisers or fight with artists to get my turn to perform. This is simply how I maintain discipline in my craft,” he added.

Addressing Willy Paul’s Allegations

Diamond also responded to claims by Kenyan artist Willy Paul, who alleged that Diamond’s management prevented him from performing at the festival. Dismissing the accusations, Diamond called them baseless and an attempt to attract attention.

“It would be foolish for me to do that—how does it even make sense? I was the headlining act, meaning all other artists were to perform before me, and I would close the show. Willy Paul is just fabricating stories for clout because he’s still chasing fame,” Diamond remarked.

Criticism of Event Planning

The singer criticised the event organisers for their poor planning, which he said disrupted the event’s success. He called on regional artists and organisers to improve their standards, fostering a better environment for performances.

“Music requires effort and proper management, not clout-chasing and pity,” he said, urging the industry to elevate its standards to attract greater opportunities and avoid unnecessary controversies.

Diamond reveals he constantly clashes with his baby mamas and feels unsure of how to handle it

Diamond Platnumz, the Bongo flava star, is constantly on the move, flying in a chartered private jet for major projects and performances. After leaving Kenya over the weekend, he headed to Paris and then Morocco. With such a hectic schedule, he spends a lot of time away from his family, particularly his children with his baby mamas, Zari Hassan and Tanasha Donna.

Due to his travel commitments, Diamond often misses quality time with his kids—son Naseeb Junior with Tanasha, and daughter Tiffah and son Nillan, who live with Zari in South Africa. This has caused frequent conflicts with his baby mamas.

In a recent interview, Diamond shared the challenges of balancing his career and fatherhood. He emphasized the joy and peace he experiences when spending time with his children, but admitted that his demanding schedule often leads to tension with his co-parents. “There are so many things that can bring you joy, but nothing compares to the joy of being with your children,” he said. “I always try to make time for them, but sometimes my schedules get so tight that it causes fights with my baby mamas.”

Diamond acknowledged that he sometimes has to cancel plans with his kids to attend to business, which leads to heated arguments. He also revealed that he missed his son Nillan’s birthday on December 6 due to his travel commitments, but plans to celebrate it when he returns. This follows his absence from his daughter Tiffah’s birthday in August 2023, as well as his son Nillan’s birthday earlier.

Diamond’s Manager Sallam SK Confirms He Was Paid Even Though He Didn’t Perform at Furaha

The highly anticipated Furaha City Festival, held at Nairobi Polo Club over the weekend, ended in controversy when Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz failed to perform. Despite an exciting lineup of Kenyan artists like Femi One, Mejja, Willy Paul, and Khaligraph Jones, the event was overshadowed by backstage conflicts and unrest among the crowd.

Diamond’s manager, Jorge Mendez (Sallam SK), explained that the singer’s decision to skip the performance stemmed from security concerns. In an interview with Nairobi News, Sallam SK stated that Diamond had waited backstage for three hours, prepared to perform, but the chaos at the event led to the cancellation. He also mentioned previous incidents where Diamond lost personal belongings during riots, which contributed to their decision to prioritize safety.

“The event organizers couldn’t manage the call times for other artists, which caused fights backstage. For safety reasons, it was no longer safe for Diamond to go on stage,” Sallam SK explained.

The crowd’s frustration was evident as they chanted “Willy Paul!” in response to the delayed performance. Tensions between Diamond’s team and the event organizers were blamed for the disruption.

Despite the no-show, Sallam SK confirmed that Diamond had already been paid in full and was awaiting further communication from the organizers. “Diamond has been paid in full. He will share his side of the story in due time, but for now, we are heading to Paris,” he said.

The event organizer also released a statement on his official X account, acknowledging the challenges and criticizing Diamond’s team for their high demands. “We deeply regret that Diamond Platnumz did not perform. Despite our efforts to accommodate him and his team, their behavior and demands were unfortunate,” the statement read.

In response to Eric Omondi’s comments about foreign artists disrespecting Kenyans, Diamond shared his thoughts, emphasizing that success comes from individual effort, not grudges. “You are a great example. You’ve headlined shows in Tanzania multiple times and have always been warmly welcomed. You never heard comedians complaining about being ‘oppressed,’ nor were there campaigns like ‘We want 75%’ for Tanzanian comedians. Instead, they focused on self-improvement, created platforms, and many stand-up comedians are now thriving because of their hard work.”

Raburu explains why Diamond skipped Furaha City Festival: “His demands were excessive and disappointing”

Furaha City Festival organizer Willis Raburu has addressed Diamond Platnumz’s absence from the event in a detailed statement shared on his official X account on December 8, 2024. Raburu explained that despite extensive efforts to accommodate the Tanzanian star and his team, their demands and conduct proved excessive and disappointing.

“We deeply regret to announce that Diamond Platnumz did not perform at the Furaha City Festival as scheduled. As organizers, we made every effort to accommodate him and his team, ensuring that all plans and contingencies were in place for a seamless experience. Despite our best efforts, his team’s behavior and demands proved regrettable and unnecessarily overbearing,” Raburu stated.

He emphasized that while the organizers respect Diamond’s status as a top-tier artist, professionalism and mutual respect are vital in such collaborations. Raburu assured fans that the team is committed to resolving the matter amicably and learning from the experience to ensure greater success for future editions of the festival.

Raburu also acknowledged a minor security issue involving another artist during the event, which was swiftly resolved to ensure the show continued smoothly and professionally.

In his statement, Raburu praised the artists who performed, highlighting the exceptional energy and professionalism displayed by Kenyan musicians, as well as performances from Wasafi artists Zuchu and Rayvanny, who delivered memorable sets.

“We are incredibly proud of the remarkable performances delivered by all the other artists. Kenyan artists outdid themselves, showcasing impeccable talent and energy to give the audience an unforgettable experience,” he said.

Raburu’s response comes after attendees expressed disappointment over Diamond’s no-show at the event.

Clash at Furaha Fest: Diamond Faces Off with Willy Paul (VIDEO)

The highly anticipated Furaha City Fest, set to feature performances by Mejja, Khaligraph Jones, Zuchu, Rayvanny, and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, descended into chaos after Kenyan artist Willy Paul alleged mistreatment and disrespect at the event. The festival, which faced organizational hiccups, left both fans and performers frustrated.

Willy Paul Speaks Out

Willy Paul took to Instagram during the festival to express his grievances, accusing organizers of prioritizing Tanzanian artists over their Kenyan counterparts.

“Tanzanian artistes are being given priority at this event. This is sad. Why are Kenyans being disrespected in front of Bongo musicians?” he wrote.

In another post, he added, “I’m being mistreated at the event. Wanaweka Tanzanians waperform. Wanachange vitu last minute. Why are Kenyans allowing this?”

Diamond vs. Willy Paul Showdown

Amid the tension, Diamond Platnumz did not perform as scheduled. A viral video captured fans chanting Willy Paul’s name, effectively disrupting Diamond’s attempt to take the stage.

The conflict reportedly stemmed from last-minute changes to the performance lineup, with Diamond wanting to perform earlier despite being slated to close the show.

Fans Show Support for Willy Paul

Audience members rallied behind Willy Paul, with some threatening to leave if he wasn’t allowed to perform first. One attendee commented, “We came here because of Diamond, but if they don’t let Willy Paul perform first, we’d rather leave.”

The incident sparked mixed reactions online:

  • @DouglasLekupuny praised Willy Paul, tweeting, “Meanwhile, Willy Paul singlehandedly fought for the Kenyan music industry last night at Furaha City Fest.”
  • @wahome_wanji noted, “Mondi has refused to perform at Furaha Fest ati coz Pozee performed before him. Ameambiwa huku sio Dar.”
  • Others criticized the organizers, with @ShankiAustine stating, “Personally, I feel the problem was the event organizer and not Diamond Platnumz.”

Broader Criticism

Critics also highlighted broader issues with the event’s planning. Attendees alleged double bookings and poor scheduling, with some pointing out that reggae artist Etana was denied the chance to perform. @KobbzVasion summed it up: “Kumbe Furaha Fest imekuwa drama tupu. They double-booked the venue, denied Etana the chance to perform, and prioritized Diamond, only for him not to show up.”

The incident has fueled a larger conversation about event management and fair treatment of artists, leaving Furaha Fest with a cloud of controversy.

Diamond Platnumz: Warner Music Called ‘Komasava’ a Flop

Bongo Flava sensation Diamond Platnumz has revealed that his hit remix of Komasava, featuring American pop and R&B star Jason Derulo, was initially dismissed as “trash” by Warner Music Group (WMG), one of the world’s largest record labels.

Released four months ago, the song has become a massive success, racking up over 31 million views on YouTube and dominating trending charts in Kenya and Tanzania for an entire week after its release on July 26. On Spotify, the track has surpassed 8.2 million streams.

Despite its success, Diamond claims that when he submitted the song to Warner, with whom he has a distribution deal, the label rejected it outright.

“I have a song, Komasava, that is now a global hit. When I submitted it to my distributor, Warner, they turned it down, calling it trash. They didn’t want to take it,” Diamond shared in an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW).

As part of his contract, Diamond is required to submit certain tracks to Warner for distribution. Confident in the song’s potential, he was surprised by their reaction.

“When they rejected the song, I went home and listened to it again. I thought, ‘Why don’t they understand this? This is a hit.’ So, I decided to release it myself,” he explained.

Diamond claims Warner never provided a clear explanation for their decision, even after he presented the song at the Grammys. He attributed their response to outdated industry practices.

“You know, working with these big labels, they often have an old-school mindset. They expect you to sing in English or stick to traditional sounds they believe will work. They couldn’t embrace this new sound,” he said.

After Komasava became a global sensation, attracting the attention of international stars like U.S. soccer player Paul Pogba and singer Chris Brown, Warner reportedly reconsidered. However, Diamond says he declined to involve them.

“After the song blew up, they wanted it, but I told my manager I didn’t want them to have it because they initially rejected it. Now look—Chris Brown is dancing to it. Swae Lee loved it and wanted to collaborate, and even Jason Derulo approached me for the remix,” he added.

My life online and as an artiste is very different from my real life as a person. For that reason, I do not respond to online comments),” Diamond stated during an interview with Wasafi TV.

The father of four emphasized that, out of respect for the 54-year-old singer, he will refrain from commenting on Diddy’s legal issues until a verdict is reached.

“Sitajifanya mchambuzi katika tukio lake kwa maana sijafanya sheria. Kwa ufupi, mpaka mahakama yaseme neno. Binafsi siwezi nikamhukumu lakini ninamheshimu kama mtu amvmbaye anajua vitu vingi mziki (I won’t pretend to be a commentator on his situation because I haven’t studied law.
