Kathy Kiuna’s son, Jeremy holds white wedding

Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) founder Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna joined family members, friends, and church leaders on Saturday, June 6, 2026, to witness the wedding of her son, Jeremy Kiuna, and his longtime partner, Stephanie Ngunjiri.

The elegant white wedding brought together loved ones and prominent clergy in a celebration marked by worship, prayers, and heartfelt messages about marriage and commitment.

One of the memorable moments of the ceremony came when renowned preacher JB Masinde presented the newlyweds with a special gift while sharing words of wisdom about building a successful marriage.

Bible before material gifts

Addressing the couple, Masinde encouraged them to place God’s word at the centre of their marriage, revealing that he had chosen to give them a Bible as one of his gifts.

According to the preacher, the Bible remains the most reliable guide for couples seeking to build a strong and lasting union.

“I want to give you this Bible because it is the right manual for marriage. Don’t get your information from social media. This is what kept your father and mother going. This is what has kept us going as well,” he said.

Masinde urged Jeremy and Stephanie to avoid relying on social media for guidance on marriage, emphasizing that scripture has provided direction for generations of couples, including their parents and many church leaders.

He described the Bible as a practical handbook capable of guiding couples through both joyful and challenging seasons of married life.

“So, before you receive our gifts such as cups, microwaves, and holiday vouchers, I beg you to first receive this Bible. It is a manual,” he added.

Marriage compared to sugarcane

Masinde also used a vivid analogy to explain the realities of marriage, comparing it to sugarcane.

He noted that while marriage is filled with sweet and enjoyable moments, it also comes with difficult seasons that require patience, resilience, and commitment.

The preacher encouraged the newlyweds to remain steadfast during challenging periods, reminding them that every marriage experiences ups and downs.

“Marriage is like a sugarcane. It has a part that is soft and very sweet. But before every soft part, there is a hard joint. That is how marriage is, and every marriage has its hard moments too,” he said.

The ceremony attracted several respected church leaders, including Faith Evangelistic Ministry founder Teresiah Wairimu, who led guests in a prayer for the couple’s future together.

Other notable attendees included Exploits Worship Centre founder Julius Suubi, Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor Esther Obasi-Eke, Grace Arena Ministries founder Prophet David Owusu, and a host of other ministers who joined in celebrating the newlyweds.

Jeremy Kiuna Announces His Single Status

Jeremy Kiuna honored his late father on Monday during a memorial service held at Faith Evangelistic Ministry Family Church in Karen. Bishop Allan Kiuna passed away on Tuesday, July 9th, at Nairobi Hospital after a battle with cancer.

In his address to the congregants, Jeremy expressed deep gratitude to his mother for her unwavering love, describing her as everything he could ask for. He also mentioned his single status during his speech.

“Guys, I’m single, by the way, so if there’s a wife that’s coming, I think about it this way: God has shown me an example of what a woman is. There’s no day I saw them argue; they were so in love. Not just with each other, but with God. I am so grateful that you are my mother. He (Allan Kiuna) might have started everything, but you held everything together,” he said.

On his Instagram page, Jeremy also paid tribute to his dad.

“To the man that words can’t describe, words just don’t do justice. The real-life Superman. ALL I can say is thank you, @bishopkiuna, for being an amazing example, for being a leader of men, and not just that, but for being my BEST FRIEND

Kathy Kiuna’s son: I wanted to commit suicide after going to the US

Jeremy Kiuna, Reverend Kathy Kiuna’s last born son, has opened up about contemplating suicide after relocating to the US for studies.

Jeremy was speaking on the TV show “Woman without Limits” where he confessed that depression and self-doubt pushed him to his lows.

“My parents took me to the US after primary school, I thought we were just going to travel, what I did not know is that my parents were leaving me behind to study. The first school I went too was largely dominated by white students and I stayed for weeks before I talked to anyone. I would go sit somewhere and take my meals alone before going back to class.” he said.

At home

Jeremy said that after moving to a more black-dominated school, things however improved because he started feeling at home.

“I was later transferred to a new manchester high school, which is largely dominated by black students and for the first time I felt at home. I had tried to commit suicide twice. One day I called my dad and decided to talk to him about what I was going through. After talking to him, I then talked to my mum and when I told her that I had tried committing suicide, she screamed.” he said.

Kiuna said the phonecall scared the wits out of her.

“That call from my son that he had wanted to commit suicide is a call no parent should receive. I screamed and wondered how that could be happening to a boy I had raised in so much love, a boy who was so confident,” he said.

Reverend Kathy Kiuna couldn’t hide her joy after her last-born Jeremy Kiuna turned 18. The mother of three jolted down an emotional birthday message to Jeremy in a post on IG.

The preacher reveals Jeremy was born prematurely at only 1.1 kg and that he was also anaemic. The preacher says her son survived by the grace of God.

“A real tbt. When you see me dance and rejoice in God ‘s presence it’s because I know how awesome He’s been in my life. My son was born prematurely at 6 months at only 1.1kg. He was anaemic and went through a blood transfusion in his tiny frame. He was covered in pipes from his head all the way down and we couldn’t see his face. Looking at his little body there seemed to be no hope. He was born a fighter thou and no matter what was thrown at him he always fought back and surprised all of us including the doctors. Jeremy’s story cannot fit in one book. He rose against all odds and today he’s such a joy to our lives. He has a heart that can fit the entire universe. He loves deeply and is extremely sharp. So informed that you can engage him in any conversation and he’ll take you on,” wrote Kathy Kiuna.

Straight A student

Kathy also reveals that Jeremy is exceptionally bright despite his condition. The preacher says her son will be joining the university next year.

“Straight A student that graduates and goes to university next year,He turns 18 this weekend and for me to say happy birthday without giving you a little background of why you should celebrate with us would be unfair. So I don’t just wish you a happy birthday as a cliche my son. It is from the fiber of my being. I know God has amazing plans for you and that your life will impact the world in a great way. Keep fighting because indeed you are a winner by nature. May the joy of the Lord always be your strength. I love you more than words can say. You mean a whole lot to us as your family. May you live a long satisfied life changing life.”
