Everyday we hear something new in this country. Award-winning highlife artiste, Emmanuel Appiah Boateng popularly known as Kontihene has stated his beliefs about religion. He was on Hitz FM when he made his opinions about ‘life after death’.
According to the singer, he does not believe that there is life after death. He stated that he does not believe that there is a heaven that people go to when they die.
He said the only heaven that is real is the one on earth, therefore we should enjoy it rather than waiting to go to a fake heaven up above. “I don’t believe in life after death.” he stated. “This is heaven on earth. You have to live and enjoy right here.” He added that he believed in God but he just didn’t believe that heaven is somewhere else.
These are strange statements to be making in Ghana. This is considering the fact that Ghana is a deeply religious country whereby any belief contrary to popular religious beliefs will lead to an outcry. His statements is sure to garner him some enemies and side eyes.
