Charles Kimani Kangara popularly known as Masaku passed on at Mbagathi Hospital while undergoing treatment for kidney failure, diabetes and anemia.
Masaku’s son David Kimani Kangara told the Standard that his father was first hospitalized last month. He was taken to Mama Lucy Hospital where doctors suggested that he could be suffering from tuberculosis and anemia and immediately referred him to Mbagathi Hospital.
Masaku was admitted at Mbagathi for a week before being discharged. His condition worsened a week after being discharged and was taken back to hospital where he died last Friday.
Veteran actors mourn
Ondiek Nyuka Kwota, Mama Kayai have all expressed shock at Masaku’s death. Friends and relatives are meeting at his house in Kayole, Matopeni and his mother’s home in Huruma estate to raise funds for his burial.
