Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal is set to release a 7 song EP titled “#THEPLUG”.

The album will however feature up-and-coming artiste, FreQuency Rap and Tulenkey.

About Frequency rap

His real name is Samuel Nana Kwame Odame Ampofo.

He started as a freestyle artiste where his videos and creativity are shared on social media for his fans to appreciate his talent.

Most young Ghanaians easily relate to his creative and rhythm. His freestyle says a lot about what 90% of the youth in Ghana are facing.

Medikal further made known his intention of doing 5 free verses for 5 up-and-coming musicians. He urged his followers to alert him incase they know of any such people.

Medikal made this known an in Instagram post which reads as;

“So I de put Tulenkey and Frequency for one song top on #THEPLUG EP.

However, I wan do 5 free verses for 5 dope upcoming musicians.Kindly let me know if you know any so I look them up.”

Medikal the “Adweeba” hitmaker announced that he will be releasing his EP before the year ends.

# “THEPLUG” which initially was a 5 song EP turned into a 7 song EP after Medikal’s manager, Flow Delly convinced him to compose not less than 7 songs for the EP.

Aside from featuring on songs for other musicians, Medikal has released 5 tracks this year.

He released “Talk To Am” featuring Patapaa, “Yesu” featuring Phil Black,

“How Much featuring Kwesi Arthur and Ahtitude,  “Adweeba” and

“For You” featuring Bisa Kdei.

Rapper, Medikal, real name, Samuel Adu Frimpong, says comments he made that he “might never get married” were a joke.

According to the rapper, he only wanted to create a buzz on social media.

“I was just kidding. it’s one of them [sic] things. It’s not that deep. It wasn’t for hype either…” he said on Joy FM’s “Cosmopolitan Mix” with Sammy Forson.

Meanwhile, Medikal and his girlfriend, Deborah Vanessa have been dating for sometime now. However, the two have faced all sorts of ridicules, especially for their age difference.

Sister Deborah later came out to explain that she’s six years older than Medikal.

Nonetheless, many people have predicted that their relationship would hit the rock because of the age difference.

Arab Money Group(AMG) artiste, Medikal has stated his music career will see a boost if Kwesi Arthur wins the BET award.

As a result, he has called on all Ghanaians to throw their weight behind Tema-based BET-nominated rapper, Kwesi Arthur to win his first award on the International scene.

Many artistes have rallied their support behind Tema-based rapper, Kwesi Arthur since his BET nomination days ago.

Kwesi Arthur has been nominated at the Black Entertainment Television Awards. He’s in the same category with Nigerian singer Niniola and South African artiste Sjava for the Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act award.

With 100 per cent votes by fans being the sole factor of the category, Medikal, who has featured on a Kwesi Arthur track  is  also strobly behind his colleague.

Medikal believes that, Kwesi winning this award will also open doors for him as well.

He has therefore called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to support the “Anthem” hitmaker to beat the competition from his rivals.

 “Seeing a colleague and a friend who does the same kind of music that I do, which is Hip-hop, a win for him means a win for me because it opens loads of ways for me, other Hip-Hop artistes and other people trying to do music”. He told Ghanaweb in an interview at the Ghana Meets Naija pre-party held at the SOHO Nightclub at Marina Mall, Airporton Friday, March 8.

“If you dey watch Medikal right now for here, go vote for Kwesi Arthur let him win this thing and then we all win,” he urged.

AMG Record Label signed artiste, Medikal has admitted that things are not too well between him and his musician girlfriend, Sister Deborah.

Of course, there are no perfect relationships no matter the indviduals involved. Every relationship at some point faces one problem or another. However, what makes it perfect is how the couples involved solve the problem. The same thing goes for celebrity couples. Most at times, fans think these celebs have the perfect relationships. However, that’s not the case.

Meanwhile, it takes a bold, truthful and a loving guy to admit that things are not too rosy in his relationship at the moment.

One of such guys, we can say is Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong.

The Rapper, arrived late for a well-publicized interview with Andy Dosty on ‘DayBreak Hitz’ on Hitz 103.9FM this morning.

When asked how his girlfriend is doing and his reason for being late, he candidly explained that he had relationship issues with his girlfriend.

Explaining further, he said that Sister Deborah saw some text messages on his phone and and got angry.

However he had to take time to sort things out with her, hence his lateness.

“Deborah Vanessa is fine. I just came from her house. But we are having slight relationship problems. A girl sent me a text and she saw it.” he said.

Asked why he’s revealing such a private matter on air the ‘Too Risky’ hitmaker explained that he hardly hides his private business from his fans and loves to put his lifestyle in his music.

He further indicated that he does not have intentions to cheat on his woman and that the messages were from a lady who wanted to book him for a show but later on turned to claim she likes him.

Medikal, despite admitting they were having problems, said he’s not cheating on Derby as he does not even know how to cheat.

“However, I am not cheating. I don’t even know how to do that.” he said.

He went on to debunk rumors that he’s having an affair with actress Fella Makafui.

He explained that Fella is just a friend, someone he’s known for the past 4 years, way before she even hit the limelight.
