Melanie Bala took to Instagram to celebrate her son’s 12th birthday.

She shares a photo of her hugging with the youngster and this is what she had to say

My Seanie turns 12 today. ?
I couldn’t be prouder of the young man & brother you’ve turned out to be. Thoughtful, kind, intelligent, funny and a joy in my life every single day (except when it comes to doing projects ?). Don’t ever change from the talking, singing, dancing, entertaining cool dude you are.
The world, my world is a better place with you in it.
He usually says: I love you mom.
And I respond: I love you more.
So much more than he’ll ever realize

Melanie Bala opens up about her struggles

Melanie Bala recently separated from her husband. In a post on social media, she opened up about the struggles she has faced.

“This picture was taken about 2 years ago at Live Amp. Bob and I had been invited to host an episode. It was a lot of fun.

What you don’t see is the exhaustion and sadness. My marriage was over, my father had died. I was in therapy, on anti-depressants, barely sleeping and crying every single day. I hid it all very well except to those very close to me.

Why are we so so scared to let people see the real us? To let people know that we’re struggling, that we’re not okay. Is it because we’ll be seen as weak or over sharing? “Why is she putting all her business out there?” Even now, I share this with trepidation because “what will people say” or will some media outlet use it as a story tomorrow?” she wrote.

Melanie Bala shares photos of her Bali Vacation

Melanie Bala is having the time of her life in Bali as she vacations.

Melanie writes on Instagram: “Two years ago I planned to take a trip to Thailand for my birthday. The day before I was meant to leave, my father passed away. I was completely devastated. It’s been a very difficult two years.”

“Today, I spent my birthday at the Tirtha Empul Tampaksiring – a Hindu Balinese Water Temple. I made a simple offering and asked for guidance, clarity, strength, protection, peace, love and joy for today, and always,” she adds.

Melanie Bala speaks on split from Zwai Bala five months after announcement

After announcing their split in October 2017, Melanie and Zwai Bala went silent.

Melanie has however resurfaced and openly shared about their split.

“We were together for 17 years and who you are when you meet at 20-something is a lot different to who you are when you are 40-something. You grow. You change. You evolve.”

For Melanie, after their relationship was getting strained, she knew that they had to be mature about it and not stay unhappy.

“It is about saying are you able to bring the best out of a person and when you are no longer able to do that, you should be mature enough to say: ‘You know what? Neither of us wants to be unhappy. I don’t want you to be unhappy.”

Melanie didn’t want to spend a lifetime fighting.
