Mocheddah Reveals how she Suffered Depression for 7 Years as she Launches Mental Health Platform

Popular singer, Mocheddah, has revealed that she had in the past, suffered clinical depression. This condition, which she says lasted for seven years, took her long to speak out, she said.

By her faith, medications and therapy, she was, however, able to get over it. Since then, she has been passionate about helping people with their mental health, she said.

Mocheddah set to help people battle depression

According to the recently married singer, she is now launching the platform as a place where people can freely talk about their battles. There are therapists in place to help those that are going through such phases on the platform, she said.

The platform is named ‘Just Be Brave’.

Mo’Cheddah Reveals how her Husband Stopped her from Killing herself

Nigerian singer, Mo’Cheddah, in a recent episode of Dang Monologues, has opened up on some of her struggles and how her career fell.

According to her, as a sixteen year old in the industry, she was met with a lot of hostilty by her older colleagues. Noting how she battle depression, the singer said that she almost took her own life.

The only reason, however, why she didn’t was because she knew it will hurt her husband, who was her boyfriend at the time.

Mo’Cheddah says she never knew hatred.

On how she was treated in the industry, the newly wed said she never knew hate until she got into the industry. It got worse when she won the Channel O music award, she said.

Yesterday, singer, Modupe-Oreoluwa Oyeyemi Ola popularly known as Mo’Cheddah tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi.

The couple who have been engaged in since 2017 sealed their relationship in a traditional wedding ceremony.
