Actor Mpumelelo Bhulose fired from ‘Imbewu’

After barely two months on the screen, Mpumelelo Bhulose has been fired from his acting role on Imbewu: The Seed.

It is said that he was fired for being a pain to work with. A source said he was fired for his absenteeism and late-coming.

“He was fired for missing shoots on numerous occasions. It’s the same thing he was fired for at Uzalo including being uncontrollable,” the source said.

Character

Bhulose played the lead character of Zimele Bhengu from Umbumbulu who moved to Durban post-1994.

He featured alongside veteran actresses Thembi Mtshali-Jones, Leleti Khumalo and former Muvhango actor Raphael Griffiths.

Through e.tv, Grapevine productions confirmed that his contract had indeed been terminated.

“The absence of Bhulose’s character, Ngcolosi ‘Zimele’ Bhengu, was written into the storyline some time ago. However, the executive producers have since decided to end their relationship with Mr Bhulose.”
