Tanzanian music star and label boss Rayvanny has announced plans to introduce a new signing under his Next Level Music (NLM) imprint.
The development comes after the successful launch of his first major signee, Macvoice, and signals a fresh chapter for the growing label.
A “Sharp Young Talent”
Speaking in an interview with Wasafi FM, Rayvanny described the soon-to-be-unveiled artist as a “very dangerous” and “sharp young talent.” He revealed that preparations for the official rollout are nearly complete.
“Soon everything is ready, whether it’s the photoshoot, album, or EP. I think it won’t be long before we introduce them, and people will understand,” he said.
The announcement has sparked anticipation across the Tanzanian music scene, with fans eager to see who will join the NLM roster.
Purpose Over Profit
Rayvanny explained that his decision to invest in emerging talent is driven by a desire to create opportunities rather than fame or fortune.
“It’s a blessing because when an artist succeeds, they also help others. They support their mothers, siblings, and educate their younger ones through just their talent,” he said.
He emphasized that his approach is about collaboration and mentorship rather than purely business arrangements.
“We are not doing it because we want fame; we are doing it because we are creating a path for them,” Rayvanny added.
The Macvoice Example
Rayvanny’s latest move comes years after signing his first artist, Macvoice. While acknowledging that Macvoice’s journey has had its challenges, Rayvanny maintains strong support for him, referring to him as a younger brother.
He recalled a recent instance where Macvoice collaborated with individuals in the mining industry, noting that the artist was well-compensated.
“He took a good sum… the payment I think was good. So it’s not bad,” Rayvanny remarked, suggesting optimism about Macvoice’s independent strides.
