Ras Kimono’s wife, Efemena Okedi is dead

Just three months after the demise of Ras Kimono, his wife also dies. Efemena Okedi, Ras Kimono’s wife is dead. According to reports gathered, She died on Sunday in her Magodo house after complaining of a chest pain.

As seen on LIB; ”Efe went for an event on Saturday, September 22nd and returned home complaining of chest pain. The pain lingered till the next morning. She slumped and died in the house before she could be rushed to the hospital” the family member said.

Ras Kimono to be buried on the 25th of August

The burial date of the late reggae musician has been announced.

The family of the late Augustine Okeleke Onwubuya, aka Ras Kimono who died a few weeks back at the age of 60 has announced the 25th of August as the date which he will be buried.

According to a statement issued by the family, other burial arrangements will be made soon. They however, thank everyone for their support.

We wish to inform the general public that the Burial Ceremony for late Ras Kimono has been slated for the 25th day of August 2018. The program of the events leading to the funeral will be made available in due course’.

‘We wish to thank everyone who has individually and collectively supported us during these trying times and we pray the Almighty God to guide and protect us all’ the statement read.

Ras Kimono, a legend gone too soon

Nigerian music legend, Ras Kimono died today June 10th at the age of 60. The musician who died at Lagoon Hospital on the island, was said to have just concluded travel plans to the United States yesterday.

Ras Kimono is a Nigerian reggae artist whose debut album Under Pressure, led by the single “Rum-Bar Stylée”, was a big hit in the Nigerian music scene in 1989.

Ras Kimono breathed his last yesterday at the age of 60.

Yesterday, Sunday, the 10th of June, 2018, saw Nigeria mourning the death of on of her music legends, Ras Kimono.

The singer, whose real name is Ukeleke Onwubuya is reported to have passed on at the Lagoon hospital, in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to Leadership Newspaper, Ras Kimono passed Sunday morning after he was transferred to Ikoyi, from a hospital in Ikeja.

Many celebrities and fans have since started pouring out their condolences.

May he rest in peace.
