Ama K. Abebrese was adjudged Best Actress at the just-ended Newark International Film Festival 2017 held in New Jersey, USA.
Her performance in the Ike Nnaebue – directed Sink or Swim film secured her that honour. The film also won the award for Best Film at the event.
Sink or Swim features other top actors from the continent, including Zack Orji, Omowunmi Dada, Raymond Ofula, Adjetey Anang, Ali Nuhu, Seun Akindele, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ruth Ndulu, and Kate Marrie Williams.
