Patelo Challenges Khaligraph Jones And Arrow Bwoy To A Boxing Match

The Kenyan entertainment scene might be trading studio mics for boxing gloves very soon. Controversial Wakudumu rapper VJ Patelo has officially thrown down the gauntlet, issuing a public boxing challenge to some of the country’s biggest musical heavyweights.

In a viral video making waves across social media, a hyped-up Patelo—flanked and cheered on by his crew—boldly declared that he would effortlessly dominate anyone who dares to step into the ring with him.

According to the rapper, the only local celebrity who commands his respect in terms of actual toughness is fast-rising boxer Mufasa. As for the rest of the industry? He isn’t losing any sleep over them. Addressing media personality Oga Obinna in the clip, Patelo dismissed other artists as complete lightweights:

“Oga Obinna, kwanza, ule mtu yoyote unadhani ni mdeadly zaidi labda ikuwe ni Mufasa, hawa wengine nawafinya kama ghasia… ring bado inazawe,” he bragged. (Oga Obinna, anyone you think is deadly, maybe only Mufasa [counts], the rest I will crush like trash… the ring is still open).

Calling Out the “Internet Goons”

Patelo didn’t mince his words, specifically name-dropping hip-hop heavyweight Khaligraph Jones, Afro-pop star Arrow Bwoy, and artist Toxic Lyrikali. He urged them to drop their tough internet personas and prove their mettle where it actually counts.

“Usipige payoyo, kuna watu wanapiganga. Oh, nima goon zi, sijui nima nini. We wanna see you in the ring, hivyo tu… Mtu anajiskia ni msanii mgenje, wasanii. Ikue ni nani muokalize… nadai kila mtu, Khaligraph, Arrow Bwoy, Toxic, sijui nani, takataka yote,” he added. (Don’t just talk, there are people who actually fight. Oh, I’m a goon, I don’t know what. We wanna see you in the ring, just like that… Whoever thinks they are a tough artist… I want everyone, Khaligraph, Arrow Bwoy, Toxic, whoever, all of them).

Will Anyone Take the Bait?

Celebrity boxing has become a massive global trend, and Patelo seems eager to bring the lucrative phenomenon to Kenya to settle industry scores.

By dismissing the music scene’s tough-guy images as mere social media posturing, the Wakudumu rapper has definitely stirred the pot. None of the challenged artists have publicly responded to the invitation yet, but fans are already placing their bets on whether anyone will actually lace up their gloves to silence the vocal rapper.
