The world’s tallest man met the world’s shortest woman in Egypt. This was during a photoshoot that had been organized in front of the pyramids. The World Guiness Record organized this to boost Egypt’s tourism.
Sultan Kosen is from Turkey, and stands at 8ft 3in, at 36 years of age. The world’s shortest, 25 year old Jyoti Amge from India, stands at 2ft tall.
Sultan becomes the world’s tallest due to a condition stemming from a tumor affecting his pituitary gland.
Jyoti is the world’s shortest because of a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia.
