Actress Zinhle Mabena and her husband went on a vacay. This follows an assassination attempt against her husband, Robert Ngwenya.

After the attempt, Ngwenya stated: “they wanted to kill me, but I won’t give them the satisfaction that I’m scared of them. The law must take its course, as these killings of comrades by other comrades have been going on for a while now.”

He went on to add, “I thank the Lord that they missed me, as I don’t know how my wife would have handled news of my death.”

The two have a child together, and Ngwenya has a son from a previous relationship.

Zinhle Mabena husband came face to face with death, and thankfully managed to escape it. This is after three men ambushed him and opened fire on his car while he was still inside.

Time and time again, Ngwenya has stated that he has been receiving death threats and believes it is linked to his efforts in the community he is from.

“They wanted to kill me, but I won’t give them the satisfaction that I’m scared of them. The law must take its course, as these killings of comrades by other comrades have been going on for a while now.”

He is however grateful to be alive, and have survived the ordeal.

“I thank the Lord that they missed me, as I don’t know how my wife would have handled news of my death.”

Zinhle is yet to comment on this.
