Ebonies Actress Julie Underwood and New Hubby Pharouque expecting First Child

Just a few months after legalizing their marriage, Farouk Sempala commonly known as Pharouque and wife Julie Underwood are expecting their first child. The two appear to have a tighter bond that even before.

Legendary actress from the Ebonies Julie Underwood, commonly known for her acting name Sharon, has been engaged to Pharouque Sempala for over four years. The two went public with their relationship in 2015 after Pharouque broke up with celebrated socialite Zari Hassan.

Julie Underwood had been married to fellow legendary actor and comedian Simon Kalema since 2009. The two have two children between them but their marriage hit the rocks and eventually broke up in 2015. The actress then met Pharouque and the two formed a bond that later saw them become a lovely couple.

Their relationship has been marred by lots of controversies and criticism based on allegations of man-snatching but they held it down till they were officially joined as husband and wife earlier in April this year with a tradiional introduction ceremony in Rubaga.

The two appeared hand-in-hand in public in Munyonyo over the weekend and we could not avoid noticing Julie’s bulging baby bump.

King (DJ) Micheal Stripped of PRO title and Suspended from Bryan white Podium

Have you been wondering why faded dancehall singer Mugwanya Michael aka King Michael, but formerly known as Dj Michael has been silent at the Bryan White Foundation?

Well, as you read this you won’t ask yourself that question anymore.

Information coming in is that the Muko Muko hit fame star is currently serving an indefinite suspension from the podium master Brain Kirumira alias Bryan White.

When we went into the main cause of his suspension, some sources had it that King Michael was found of miss using and embezzling of funds that had always been aligned for other uses and a times when he delivered, he delivered less of the exact amount.

But when we talked to him, the “Bryan White Ttebamusobola” singer denied the allegations.

He noted that he just got a miss understanding with the main boss while in a meeting something that he latter acknowledged that it was his fault.

He furthermore noted that he used words that he regrets and his position of being the foundations Public Relations Officer was stripped of him.

“Am apparently on suspension from the foundation as I got some misunderstandings with the boss”,

he asserted

“But I know with time when he’s cooled down he call me back but if he doesn’t I will keep on pushing with my music but If I was to swindle money from the foundation I would have swindled like 15bags but those but little money I can’t”,

he added.

It should be noted that this is not the first time Dj Michael is being suspended off the podium, some time earlier this year he was suspended.

Gear up! Kampala Restaurant Week Starts Today

The Kampala food elite will once again get the chance to hop from one restaurant to another since the organizers of Kampala Restaurant Week announced that the annual restaurant showcase will be coming back for its fourth edition this year, starting today Wednesday August 1, 2018.

“We thought we would give food lovers a seamless fine dining experience by making it possible for them to enjoy meals at dozens of top notch restaurants in Kampala as well as major Ugandan towns without them having to pay cash,” said Pearl Guide’s Philip Kalibwani.

The event that was first introduced on the Ugandan social calendar in 2015 is about showcasing Uganda’s premium restaurants while giving customers discount value on some of the most delicious and creatively made dishes on the market.

Some of the  participating restaurants include Liquid Silk, Piato Restaurant, Pizza Hut, Riders Lounge, Prunes Café with some up country in places like Jinja ,Mbarara plus a holiday partner Chobe Safari Lodge  signing up to participate in the show.

Organized by Pearl Guide and powered by Tusker Lite the showcase will be running for 10 full days during which people in and around the city will be able gain access to all premium restaurants giving services at a fixed and discounted price.

Price will be going as low as 15,000/= for casual dishes while signature dishes will be at 25,000/= across all participating restaurants.

The week will be topped by an awards gala to be held at Kurbs Kisemeti on August 13.

Spice Diana Sets concert dates for Second concert

She might be poor at the Queen’s language, but singer Spice Diana is having a steady progress musically.

 

After holding a successful concert in February this year at Entebbe road based Front page ,the 32 singer has announced 25th January next year as the date for  her concert.

 

According to her management, they have decided to move to a more spacious venue,  Freedom city that has a capacity of about 30k fans .

Swangz Avenue Bosses beg Winnie Nwagi to stay with the Label

There has been word on the street that Winnie Nwagi could quit Swangz Avenue, a label she has been signed to since her ascent to fame.

 

It is claimed that the label is not giving her career a deserved promotion. She has however always said in interviews that she is happy with the label.

 

With her contract ending in a month, speculations over her future have been in overdrive. Many say she will not sign to extend her stay.

 

The label big shots have also gone ahead put some juicy offers on her table, including organising her maiden concert come next year.

Another restaurant has opened it’s doors to Kampala’s foodies community. Located on the top most floor of Thobani Centre on Jinja Rd opposite Orient House, Capital Kitchen opened its first outlet in Kampala on Saturday 28.

Judith Babirye Ex Husband claims he has not yet divorced her

Saturday was a big day for gospel musician, Judith Babirye as she introduced fellow MP, Paul Musoke in a colourful ceremony. Babirye invited only a few friends and the event was highly guarded as there were fears that exes from both sides would disrupt the occasion.

The two lovers kept smiling at each other, but these smiles could be temporary as Babirye’s first husband, Samuel Niiwo, has said that he has never divorced Babirye.

When she filed for divorce last year, they were supposed to have several meetings to iron out things or proceed with the divorce, however, they only one meeting.

Niiwo says he didn’t sign divorce papers

According to the law, it is illegal for a woman to be married to two men at the same time. There are fears that Niiwo could sue Babirye and the new husband although he doesn’t say whether he has such intentions.

The feud between longtime enemies might never fade. It even goes to younger generations. Recently, Bebe Cool has been throwing jibes at Bobi over his stance on the unpopular social media tax. Bobi has however refused to respond.

Joining in on the mix is Bebe’s son, Allan Hendrik. During an interview, the young musician was asked what his thoughts are on the ongoing war between his father and Bobi.

Hendrik said he doesn’t understand why they can’t makeup and the source of the beef but he stated that Bobi has his father to thank for his popularity.

Bobi, he says, has to incite his father if he is to stay famous, a thing he very well knows how.

Madrat and Chiko fill up Hotel imperial

The long awaited second edition of  Nseko Buseko comedy show by comedy duo Madrat and Chiko at Imperial Hotel lived to the billing!

The show kicked off with amazing live performances by Janzi band. By 10pm, the dynamic comedy duo Madrat and Chiko hit the stage in style clad in the boxing attire; in the red corner stood Madrat and Chiko in the blue corner.

They put out the night with the best of them in an astoundingly amazing four- sets one-army performance giving their audience value for their money.

The show was attended by a number of celebrated comedians, artists, and media personalities. Minister Kibuule also graced the show among other guests’.

Some musicians like Bebe Cool and Apass had vowed never to associate with Bryan White however these two have finally coiled their tails between their legs, and they are currently enjoying Bryan White’s money.

Sources say Apass received 10M from Bryan White Foundation to entertain revellers in Arua while Bebe Cool reportedly accepted 10m for two VIP table at his forthcoming concert dubbed Golden Heart on 3rd August at Kololo Airstrip.

Sources say, some of her apartments in Bwebajja have been taken over by  money lenders.

Infamous Aziz of the cougar Fame Jailed for Claiming to Have Fathered Mary Bata’s Child

Aziz Magically, real names Aziz Mawanda, has been allover the news for the past month for all the controversial reasons. The 19 year old, who fell for a 70 year old Swedish woman, is in the news again.

Last week, old photos of him and local songstress Mary Bata made rounds on social media. The two are reported to be former close friends and associates since Aziz also had a shot at music. The photos showing Aziz very close to Mary Bata raised mixed reactions on social media with many people pointing out that the young boy has always had a thing for women older than him.

To confirm that he is the one in the pictures and to elaborate more about when they were taken, Aziz appeared in a video which was published online and he also claimed he had a love affair with Mary Bata. He also noted that the two have a child between them, something which the songstress strongly refuted.

Mary Bata came out to deny that she has ever had anything more than friendship with Aziz and that what he was saying were pure lies but Aziz continued to claim paternity of the child.

This forced Mary Bata to report a case at Katwe Police station claiming that Aziz Magically is aiming at defaming her. Aziz was arrested and spent yesterday in jail. The songstress wants Mawanda to be disciplined so as he can stop abusing people on his social media platforms.

Hajjat Madinah Begs Female Musicians To help with medical Bills

Singer Hajjat Madinah Asiimwe, famed for her hit song Bibuuza has called upon fellow celebrated women musicians to run to her rescue before its too late.

The former Gagamel and Revival band singer tasked the likes of Rema Namakalu, Catherine Kusasira, Sheebah Karungi, Juliana Kanyomozi among others to come out and help her improve her welfare and financial standings. The singer said she’s doing totally bad in that she can’t afford what to eat and her health condition is worsening each day that goes by.

” My fellow celebrated women musicians please I need your help. Catherine Kusasira, Rema Namakalu, Juliana please help me improve from my alarming state cause am totally badly off as I can hardly afford what to eat”,

Hajjati Madinah cried out loud.

However, the good news is that socialite Olim aka Sipapa has contributed a resounding Ugshs15 million on behalf of the 18 million shillings needed for her heart surgery that needs to be carried out in India.

Since the start of the year, Anne Kansiime has won several awards as well as special recognition at both national and international stages. She is not stopping at those achievements as she jumps on yet another big prospective movie that is bound to take Africa by storm.

‘6 Feet Of Space’ is a Ghanaian movie focusing on promoting African unity. It is courtesy of Ghanaian Production Company, Messiah Entertainment, which secured the services of Anne Kansiime to act some of the top roles in the movie.

The movie also stars a legendary Ugandan actor, Rushabiro Raymo, who has been actively involved in the movie industry for over 25 years.

 

 

Zari Speaks Out on why she Joined Bryan White’s Podium

Zari confirmed through a video saying that she will be joining the Bryan White Foundation on a week long tour from 28th July to 4th August as they tour Arua district for a charity cause. They will be giving back to schools, visiting hospitals to see how best they can help the community.

Zari as an individual is a darling in Tanzania where she has been living for quite a while because of her giving heart. She has often influenced charity in which she has helped mothers, children and communities as well as inspiring her followers from allover the the region.

Fans troll Leila Kayondo on her Nomination in AFRIMA for best female artist

Leila Kayondo managed to scoop a nomination in the Nigeria based Awards as the best East Africa Female artiste where she will tussle it out with the likes of Butera Knowless, Charly & Nina from Rwanda, Vanessa Mdee, Nandy from Tanzania,  Victoria Kimani, Akothee from Kenya and fellow Ugandans Sheebah, Rema Namakula and Juliana Kanyomozi.

Her nomination has come with a lot of criticism as many think she doesn’t deserve to be on the list.

Actually, one of the music critics branded Afrimma a joke.

” Leila Kayondo best artiste? Afrimma is a total joke. Its like she hasn’t gone to studio for years. Right now, all she knows is display her much lacking body on instagram. Maybe, these are instagram nude awards. You see, even at her peak, she did not win a single local award. I don’t understand how she got this nomination,” narrated one of the top music critics in Uganda.

We believe this nomination might have been influenced by striker entertainment, a Nigerian record label she is signed to.

Sheebah Karungi in Preparations to kick off her Canada tour

The latest landing our desk indicates that Sheebah is now in high gear preparations to travel to Canada where she has been booked for a number of shows already.

 

Our snoops have learnt that Sheebah’s tour dubbed “Rebel tour” will start on Friday 10th August in Montreal Lescape before heading to Ottawa Lusitania Portuguese centre of Ottawa and will later climax in Toronto on Friday 17th August.

Apass is charging 10 Million Shillings to Upcoming Artistes for a Collabo

Apass is currently open for collaborations only if the artistes interested can cough 10 Million each exclusive of production fees.

 

A Pass announced this intent through one of his social media platforms were he posted, “I am now welcoming collaborations with any Ugandan artist who has 100 fans and above, you will have to pay me 10 million cash that doesn’t include productuon of the songs. #collabos.”

 

It is a habit for established artists to ask for money from upcoming artistes who ask for collabos from them.
