Battle of Pastors: Pastor Ssemba dares Prophet Mbonye to predict the future of Social Media taxes

Pastor Martin Ssempa

Early this morning, Pastor Martin Ssempa, who has been off the scene for quite some time took to his twitter handle to dare prophet Elvis Mbonye to look into the future of Social media tax.

He wrote; “Hello Prophet Mbonye @Prophet_elvis good morning… I heard you prophesied the Oscar’s… which for some of us were not so relevant. But do you think you could use those ‘high level’ systems and say what is the future of the #SocialMediaTax.’

Quite innocent a tweet, considering Mbonye is well known by many in Kampala for his prophesies, but also provokative, because Sempa has in the last week done a good job poking tweeps.

Did he expect it turn out the way it did? We do not know, but one thing Sqoop knows is that Sempa is now in a serious war with Mbonye’s diehards.

Replying to the tweet, Matsiko Gowin said asking Sempa to visit Mbonye’s website for a deeper understanding of the Prophet, if was still capable of spiritual enlightment.

“Also, we noticed longtime how you abandoned the cross for politics. Good luck sir,” the reply read in part.

To his tweet, Matsiko attached a story titled; “how top Uganda clerics exhume ghosts of religious intolerence.” The story contained an image of different religious clerics, minus Sempa.

And this is where things got heated up. “Thanks for the response.. My name is not Sserwadda nor Lwere not Kayanja and I am not in that picture. I however agree that there is decreasing space of free speech both online and in the streets. Is Prophet Elvis aware about the #SocialMediaTax?” Ssempa replied.

Kenyan Man Sues Condom Company After Impregnating Side Chics

A man in Nairobi has gone to court to protest the marketing, sale and distribution of a specific type of condoms in Kenya.

Williamson Nyakweba Omworo has sued Beta Healthcare, Kenya Bureau of Standards (KeBS) and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) over the sale of Zoom condoms, which he claims to be substandard.

He alleged that he used the condom on various women and contracted sexually transmitted infections. He also claimed that some of the women he was involved with in his escapades became pregnant and that he has since realized the condoms he used broke.

Since he contracted syphilis and gonorrhea, he lost his wife who accused him of being an unfaithful partner, lost his job and continues to suffer mental anguish.

Compensated

He now wants to be compensated Kshs3,400 (about UShs129,400) for his medication among other reprieves from court.

In case documents filed at the High Court, Mr Omworo claimed that he used the said condoms for about 10 months before he allegedly realized that they were substandard.

Being a frequent traveller between his native home in Kisii and Nairobi, he said he purchased the condoms from various shops, pharmacists and entertainment joints in the said towns and those in between for his personal use.

Through his lawyers from the firm of Charles Gomba & Company advocates, he claimed that he has learnt the said condoms were prohibited from getting into the market in Uganda because of failing to meet the required qualitative tests and was declared not fit for the intended use as it did not comply with the required ISO specifications.

He also claimed that when he wrote a demand letter to KeBS while seeking to know whether they approved the said condoms for use, the body has been elusive and evasive about the issue.

He argues that there was collusion between the sued parties to mask the fact that the consignment did not measure up to the required safety and health standards hence violated his rights as a consumer.

Public interest

“I bring this petition as an individual and as a matter of public interest on behalf of the citizens of Kenya as the issues raised herein affects their health and safety,” said Mr Omworo.

He further claimed that his rights to goods of reasonable quality, information, protection of health safety among others were violated.

He accuses Beta Healthcare, which markets the said product, of failing to protect his health, safety and economic interest by supplying condoms that exposed him to the risk of contracting STIs, the dreaded HIV and the mental anguish of exposing his partners to the same risk besides unwanted pregnancies.

“It is imperative and its indeed economical use of precious judicial resources of time to certify this matter as urgent, set it down for a hearing on a priority basis in order to prevent other Kenyans from being exposed to STIs and HIV/Aids due to the fact that BetaHealth care continues to distribute and sell the same brand of condoms to unsuspecting public,” said Mr Omworo.

He also wants it declared that his consumer rights were violated, his right to information was denied and that his right to economic as well as social right to attain quality reproductive health has been threatened.

Grape Fruiting: A technique that will change your blowjob game forever

You may be asking yourself, what the heck is grapefruiting? And how do you do it when giving a blowjob?

This grapefruiting sex technique was actually introduced to many of us after watching the movie Girls Trip.

To get things started, get your guy hard, at least enough to get his member standing upright. Before that, though, make sure to prepare a juicy grapefruit by cutting a hole in the middle (big enough for your man’s penis) and then slicing the fruit from bottom to top.

Once everything is all set up, slide the grapefruit over his penis in a twisting motion using both your mouth and your hands. If you happen to be into this grapefruiting sex technique, this will work out beautifully for the both of you.

He will have double the pleasure and you will get a tasty treat added to your sexy time. Just be careful that neither of you gets squirted in the eye, because the stinging may kill the mood.

Juicing up your sex life is usually worth the time and energy, but by adding a grapefruit to the mix, you really won’t have to try too hard. Happy grapefruiting!

Justine Nameere Car Auctioned off and banned from New Vision office

A day after news of her car’s auctioning leaked to the media,  former Bukedde presenter, Justin Nameere’s troubles keeps piling up like a garbage heap.

Latest news landing our desk indicates that the management of Vision group headed by Robert Kabushenga has banned their former employee from accessing their premises.

Our snoops have been informed that the management is simply tired of Nameere’s wars and her habits of lousing around the premises. “She has been coming here on a daily basis yet she doesn’t work here anymore. The most irritating bit of it is that she wants to use our outlets to fight her wars which the management does not permit. She moves from office to office aimlessly like a fly just to bang KB.” A close source informed our snoop.

To add salt to the wounds, a security notice has been pinned up at the premises by the management. It reads, “Attention all officers! Please be advised that Justin Nameere the lady whose face appears in the attached picture is prohibited from accessing the New Vision head office premises and pike house. Go ahead and deny her access at all access points till further notice. For further information please contact administration on extension line 258.
Thank you. Management.”

MPs have now become comedians- Patrick Salvador

Renowned comedian Patrick Salvador has lashed out at Parliamentarians over the newly implemented OTT tax and the 1% excise duty saying that it is making our country become a joke to other countries. He was bitter with MPs that are sent by people to Parliament and on reaching there they forget them.

‘’You forget your people when you go there, you are in Parliament driving those big cars but at the end of the day when your tenure is done you will go back to the people you represent. You people in Parliament are becoming comedians and we are now the serious people. People in Parliament, let’s wake up and use our heads not our stomachs and let’s look at this as an injustice to Ugandans’’, Salvador stated.

He further added saying that the new taxation is threatening his job as a social media influencer because he does not have an office and that he only gets most of his deals online. He also said that he does most of his money transactions via mobile money which was also pinned by the new tax.

‘’We earn money off social media as influencers because we have a following of ‘omuntu wawansi’. I personally influence for six brands, do you think my reach will be the same as before?’’

He concluded saying that Parliamentarians should look at this taxation as an injustice because Ugandans have a right to the internet and government cannot tax it.

Skin Care Tips to Prevent Acne Break outs

When it comes to skin care, we’re not usually ones for hard and fast rules. Everyone has unique skin types, skin tones, lifestyles, and genetic histories that make it impossible to have a single piece of one-size-fits-all advice. But here are some tips that can help.

Wash Your Face Daily

The first and most important rule isn’t groundbreaking: Remember to wash your face! Cleansing and treating your skin twice a day is the best way to keep breakouts away. For those emergencies when you’re just too tired to wash your face, keep a stash of face wipes in the drawer of your nightstand. This way if you get home super late and don’t feel like going all the way to the sink, you can still go to bed with clean skin!

2. Use the Right Cleanser

Buying a generic face wash won’t necessarily improve your complexion; for a cleanser to be most effective, you have to pay attention to your skin’s needs and pick the ingredients accordingly. If your skin tends to be oily, choose products with salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or glycolic acid. For sensitive skin, look for cleansers with lactic acid or hydrating ingredients like glycerin, which aren’t as drying as those made for oilier types.

Regularly Change Your Face Towel

  1. When you think about it, consistently reaching for your go-to face towel every day is like reusing a dinner napkin over and over again. Using dirty towels can harbor bacteria, and they can even introduce new bacteria to your skin, which may lead to more pimples. Thankfully, this doesn’t mean you need to reach for a new towel every single time you wash your face.

The Internet Trolls Anita Fabiola on her OTT tax posts

NBS Katchup TV host, Anita Fabiola has urged Ugandans to pay up the Shs 200/- social media tax claiming that her Ambassadorial roles that heavily depend on Facebook likes and comments are on the brink of collapse, We can’t survive off 10 comments and 50 likes. We need you to stay online, she noted.

Ugandans were not impressed responding,

“Selfish mind, think of the poor people who can’t afford the tax before you talk about likes, consider others and they will consider you. Well, you are lucky yours is already paid for.”

“So you want people in the villages who can’t even afford a 100 shilling candle to light in the dark to pay social media tax of 200 in order to press the “like” button on the nonsense you post for your own benefit?”

On the other hand,  twitter brought the real heat.

The socialite has since deleted the tweet.  Maybe next time she can learn that empty tins make the lifestyle noise.
