Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions in Nairobi, Uasin Gishu and Nyeri on July 24

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity maintenance that will affect customers in parts of Nairobi, Uasin Gishu and Nyeri counties on Friday, July 24, 2026.

The planned maintenance is part of the utility company’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and stability of the power distribution network. Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the outages.

Nairobi County

Part of Kaloleni and Ojimbo

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The planned power interruption will affect Kaloleni Primary School, Ojimbo and adjacent customers.

Uasin Gishu County

Kenya 2 and Murgusi Village

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Customers in Murgusi Village, Kenya 2, Murgusi Dispensary and surrounding areas will experience a temporary electricity outage during the maintenance exercise.

Nyeri County

Kiandu, Gura and Kaiguri

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The maintenance will affect Kiandu Market, Kiandu School, KCC Kiandu, Gura, Kaiguri Market, Gondo School, parts of Kiawaithanji, Nduiga and neighbouring customers.

Kenya Power has urged customers in the affected locations to plan accordingly, noting that electricity supply will be restored once the scheduled maintenance works have been completed.
