Kajala Recounts Painful Revelation During Her Relationship With Harmonize

A past video featuring celebrated Tanzanian actress Kajala Frida has resurfaced online, drawing renewed attention to her tumultuous relationship with ex-boyfriend, singer Harmonize. In the candid interview, Kajala makes a shocking revelation: Harmonize once sent inappropriate photos directly to her daughter, Paula Kajala, a disclosure that deeply impacted their relationship.

“He sent those photos to my daughter. That really broke me,” Kajala stated emotionally in the interview.

Despite the passage of time since the incident and their subsequent separation, Kajala admitted that the memory remains profoundly painful to revisit.

The End of a High-Profile Romance

Kajala shed further light on the reasons behind her highly publicized split from Harmonize during a previous appearance on Mambo Mseto. She indicated that Harmonize’s behavior suggested a gradual loss of respect and a tendency to take their relationship for granted.

“When someone gets too used to you, they stop valuing you. I don’t blame him — he’s still young,” she explained in Swahili, adding that Harmonize “may have needed space and maturity to focus on other things in life.” The insinuation was that Harmonize’s immaturity and actions, including the distressing incident involving Paula, ultimately led to the demise of their romance.

Co-Parenting and Unexpected Friendships

Beyond the Harmonize saga, Kajala also spoke openly about her earlier relationship with veteran music producer P-Funk Majani, who is Paula’s father. She clarified that despite having a child together, they were never officially married. Their relationship, which began when they were both young, eventually dissolved due to misunderstandings and a mutual lack of maturity at the time.

“At that time, I was still young. Even he still had childish minds,” she reflected.

Despite their separation, Kajala expressed gratitude for having been able to raise Paula herself. “I’m thankful he left Paula for me. We’re fine. We cooperate in education,” she affirmed, highlighting their successful co-parenting efforts, even if direct communication between them is infrequent. Paula typically acts as the intermediary, reaching out to her father when necessary.

Perhaps the most surprising revelation was Kajala’s close bond with P-Funk Majani’s current wife. “His wife is my partner. We talk a lot. We are really friends. She is good at telling stories and chatting. I may not have spoken to P for several months or years, but we talk to his wife,” Kajala revealed, underscoring a harmonious extended family dynamic, despite the complexities of her past relationships.
