Tanzanian influencer Chief Godlove says he now considers himself Kenyan after relocating to Nairobi

Chief Godlove has declared that he no longer wants to be viewed as a Tanzanian, saying he now considers Kenya his home after relocating to Nairobi.

Speaking in a video shared on TikTok on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the influencer said his experiences in Kenya convinced him to settle permanently, adding that he hopes Kenyans will now regard him as one of their own.

“By the way, right now, Kenyans don’t look at me as a Tanzanian anymore. Deem me as your fellow Kenyan because I am here and I am living with you guys here. And I am here to stay,” he said.

Why Chief Godlove chose Kenya

Chief Godlove revealed that he currently lives in Nairobi’s Karen suburb, where he says he has settled comfortably.

He explained that after travelling to more than 15 countries, Kenya stood out as the one place that offered him the lifestyle, freedom and environment he had been searching for.

“I have gone through many countries, over 15 of them, and I chose Kenya because what I have seen in Kenya I have not seen in all those other countries,” he said.

While praising the country, the influencer stressed that he was not interested in commenting on Kenya’s political affairs, saying his decision to relocate was based entirely on personal experience.

“I don’t want to advise you a lot or even make opinions about your politics, but I have chosen your country,” he added.

Calls Kenya the best country in Africa

Chief Godlove went on to describe Kenya as the best country in Africa, arguing that many citizens may not fully appreciate what the country has to offer.

According to him, Kenya provides a level of freedom that he has not encountered elsewhere despite his extensive travels.

“Kenya is so good and the best in Africa. Kenyans, the majority of them, may not know how good this country is and how much freedom exists here,” he said.

Shock over Nairobi dental charges

His remarks came shortly after he shared another experience that surprised him during his stay in Kenya.

The influencer claimed he visited a dental clinic in Karen seeking teeth-whitening services but was quoted KSh500,000 for the procedure, a figure he described as unusually high.

He compared the amount to what he said would be roughly TSh10 million in Tanzania and appealed to Kenyans to clarify whether the quotation reflected the standard market rate.

“Kenyans, please confirm to me what the actual price of teeth whitening is because I just came back from a dental clinic here in Karen and I was charged KSh500,000,” he said.
