Chebet Ronoh reveals she survived assassination attempt
Content creator and dancer Chebet Ronoh has marked a deeply personal milestone, revealing that she has now gone more than five months without alcohol.
Ronoh shared the update on social media with a graphic showing she had reached five months and four days of sobriety — a moment she used to reflect on her emotional journey, battles with public scrutiny, and the turbulence she has overcome.
“I Survived an Assassination Attempt”
In a separate, more introspective post, Ronoh opened up about the difficult chapters of her past, saying many people had dismissed her or expected her to fail.
She described her experience as a “spiritual, emotional, and social assassination attempt” — one she proudly declared she survived.
“I am what happens when someone survives a spiritual, emotional, and social assassination attempt… and refuses to die,”
she wrote, adding that she has returned “louder and realer.”
Turning Trauma Into Power
Ronoh said her transformation has been an act of “spiritual alchemy,” explaining that she used the very situations intended to break her as fuel for her elevation.
She highlighted patterns she has observed over the years:

-
When she was mocked, unexpected support poured in from strangers.
-
When she stopped performing, her authenticity went viral.
Her message ended in defiance and gratitude:
“Notice the pattern. Thank you! I FEAR NOTHING NOW!!!”

Gospel musician Weezdom previously revealed his struggle with alcoholism during the pandemic and shared how multiple rehab stints and a major lifestyle shift helped him stay sober.
Media personality Alex Mwakideu has also spoken publicly about quitting alcohol. Just weeks ago, he celebrated six years of sobriety with an inspirational note to his fans.
