Former Kiss 100 presenter Kerry Martins fires back at TikToker accusing him of being a deadbeat dad

Former radio host Kerry Martin has broken his silence following viral allegations that he abandoned a woman and their premature baby, opting to share what he claims are private messages to defend himself.

The controversy began after Faith Wanjiku publicly accused him of walking away from responsibility, stating that the baby was born at just 27 weeks and left with hospital bills exceeding KSh 500,000.

Kerry Martin’s response

In response to the claims, Kerry released screenshots of alleged conversations between himself and Wanjiku. According to the messages, the woman indicated that she had made the decision to keep the pregnancy independently and would take full responsibility without involving him.

Kerry argued that the circulating accusations were misleading and lacked full context, maintaining that the situation had been misrepresented online.

Legal action underway

The former radio host further revealed that his legal team has stepped in to handle the matter, signalling that the dispute could move beyond social media into formal legal processes.

Online debate intensifies

The issue has since sparked widespread debate online, with users divided over the conflicting accounts. While some have expressed support for Wanjiku and raised concerns about parental responsibility, others have backed Kerry’s decision to present evidence and seek legal intervention.

As the matter unfolds, both sides appear set to defend their positions, with the final outcome likely to depend on further clarification or legal proceedings.
