Lipstick lesbian: Marion Naipei clarifies whether she’s ventured into LGBTQ shenanigans
Marion Naipei has publicly responded to the widespread rumours surrounding her personal life following the circulation of controversial videos online. Naipei, who is widely known through her association with controversial preacher Victor Kanyari, denied claims that she is a lesbian after the clips sparked heated debate on social media.
The videos, which allegedly showed her in intimate moments with other women, quickly gained traction online and became a major topic of discussion across Kenyan social media platforms. Naipei, popularly referred to by many followers as the “Maasai girl,” is a familiar face during Kanyari’s TikTok live sessions.
In a recently shared video, Naipei was confronted by an unidentified man who questioned her directly about the allegations. The man first asked how she was doing before addressing the rumours head-on.
He asked her whether she was a lesbian, prompting Naipei to firmly deny the claims.
“I’m not a lesbian. I want to clarify that once again, I’m really not a lesbian,” she responded.
During the exchange, the man expressed disappointment over the videos, saying they had embarrassed members of the Maasai community. He claimed many people were still shocked by what had circulated online.
“You know you are embarrassing the Maasai,” the man said.
Naipei apologised to anyone who may have been offended by the videos, responding with “Poleni,” a Swahili phrase commonly used to express sympathy or apology.
The conversation later shifted toward advice about the company she keeps. The man urged Naipei to distance herself from certain friends and avoid associating with people involved in such behaviour.
He further asked her if she was willing to change and become a “good person,” to which she agreed.
The man also stated that he would be taking her back to church immediately following the discussion.
Naipei has grown in popularity online through her appearances alongside Kanyari during live-streamed sessions that regularly attract large audiences on TikTok. Meanwhile, the viral clips continue to spark mixed reactions online, with Kenyans remaining divided over the controversy.
