DJ Xclusive announces father’s death after week-long ICU admission, appeals for support

Radio personality DJ Xclusive is mourning the loss of his father, who died after spending a week in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Nairobi West Hospital.

The entertainer shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post, revealing that his father passed away on Sunday morning, July 5, 2026, despite efforts by doctors to save his life.

Father dies after ICU stay

According to DJ Xclusive, his father had been admitted to Nairobi West Hospital for the past week before succumbing to illness.

“Good afternoon, my Dad has been ill for the last one week at Nairobi West Hospital, admitted to ICU. Despite all the effort by the doctors to treat him, unfortunately, he passed away this morning at 10:40 am,” he wrote.

Although he did not disclose the illness his father had been battling, the radio presenter expressed gratitude to the medical team for the care they provided during his father’s final days.

Appeals for prayers and financial support

As the family begins funeral preparations, DJ Xclusive appealed to friends, fans and well-wishers for prayers and financial assistance to help clear the hospital bill and cater for burial expenses.

“I’d like to make a formal request for your prayers and any financial assistance to settle his hospital bill and make funeral arrangements,” he said.

He also shared his mobile number, inviting those willing to support the family to contribute as they prepare to lay his father to rest.

The DJ thanked supporters in advance and asked them to continue keeping his family in their prayers during the difficult period.

Following the announcement, fellow entertainers and media personalities took to the comment section to console the grieving radio host.
