Nicah the Queen Reopens Conversation on Breakups After Sharing Throwback of Dr. Ofweneke
Nicah the Queen has sparked fresh conversations about co-parenting, healing and life after separation after sharing a throwback clip featuring her former husband, comedian and corporate MC Dr. Ofweneke.
In a post shared on her official Instagram account on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Nicah reposted a video from one of Dr. Ofweneke’s past interviews, where he reflected on the end of their marriage.
The clip was taken from an interview the comedian gave on Oga Obinna’s YouTube show, Obinna TV, on August 31, 2023. During the conversation, Dr. Ofweneke spoke candidly about the factors that led to their separation, saying that although they deeply cared for each other, they ultimately realised they were not compatible as life partners.
Sharing the video years later, Nicah accompanied it with a message encouraging people to embrace peaceful relationships after a breakup.
“Kuwachana sio uadui!! Ama namna gani!? Mimi huwa mpoa guys!” she wrote.
(Translation: “Separation is not enmity!! Or what do you think!? I’m always cool, guys!”)

Dr. Ofweneke Reflects on Their Separation
In the interview, Dr. Ofweneke described their breakup as a calm and mature decision rather than a hostile one.
He revealed that while he loved Nicah deeply, he eventually realised he had lost his sense of self while trying to make the marriage work.
“I love Nicah so much that I forgot myself. But the day I re-discovered myself, I the day I told her ‘mama it has been a good stretch’. We were actually holding hands watching, hio time Netflix imetokea. We were in the house, my kids were there, my bro, my sister were there,” he recalled.
The media personality added that neither of them was at fault, but they were simply on different life paths.
“Nicah was perfect, and I was perfect. But we were not just perfect for each other, we were not on the same path in life. And it is very important for guys to realise that you know what you can be perfect but you are not perfect for somebody. And if you look at it from a spiritual perspective, not every marriage is a God idea,” he said.
A Message of Moving On
By resharing the interview, Nicah appeared to send a message that former partners can move on without resentment.
Her post resonated with many followers, highlighting the possibility of maintaining mutual respect after a relationship ends and reinforcing the idea that separation does not have to result in hostility or bitterness.
