Commentastor254 robbed of his filming equipment at Majembe vs Mbavu Destroyer fight
The atmosphere at Moi International Sports Centre was electric as fans gathered for the highly anticipated boxing match between Mbavu Destroyer and Majembe. The bout delivered an intense spectacle, with Majembe emerging victorious via technical knockout (TKO).
However, for digital creator Commentator254, the night ended on a devastating note.
Equipment stolen during event
Amid the excitement and packed crowd, Commentator254’s filming equipment was stolen. He later took to social media to express his frustration, describing the loss as a major setback to his work.
The stolen items included a Canon M50 camera and two Hollyland microphones, with the total value estimated at over KSh 100,000.
Beyond the financial impact, the incident has disrupted several ongoing projects, as the camera reportedly contained unbacked footage for multiple clients.

“My heart is broken, man. That camera has been my life. How do I even react to this? How will I tell clients about their projects?” he shared.
Cash reward offered
In an effort to recover the equipment, the content creator has announced a KSh 30,000 reward for anyone who returns the items or provides useful information.
He stated that he is willing to offer the money with no questions asked, emphasising that his priority is retrieving both the gear and the valuable data stored on it.
“If whoever has that camera sees this, please just bring it back. I will give you KSh 30,000. I just need it back,” he appealed.
Impact on his work
Known for producing digital content, Commentator254 relies heavily on professional filming equipment. The loss of his Canon M50—widely used by vloggers—represents not just a financial hit, but also a disruption to his primary source of income.
While he remains hopeful that the equipment will be recovered, he acknowledged that he may eventually need to replace it. For now, his focus remains on retrieving the stolen gear before the data is lost permanently.
