Otile Brown, Jovial and KRG the Don Spark Online Debate Over Alleged Unreleased Collaboration
A series of cryptic social media posts by Kenyan artistes Otile Brown and Jovial, followed by comments from KRG the Don, has sparked speculation among fans over a possible unreleased music collaboration.
The conversation began after Otile Brown shared a message on his Instagram Stories, hinting that some collaborations circulating or being discussed online may not have his official approval.
“I’m really in a good space right now, and I won’t let anybody mess up my vibe. If you don’t see me posting a collaboration song, just know it didn’t get my approval,” Otile wrote.
Although the singer did not mention any artiste by name, the message quickly drew attention from fans who began connecting it to conversations around an unreleased collaboration.
Jovial Responds
Shortly after Otile’s post, singer Jovial shared a message of her own, which many interpreted as a response to the situation.
The singer appeared to suggest that someone had not supported her growth over the years.
“😂😂 Wewe sema tu you have never wanted me to win! For years! Tena usitake niongee,” she wrote.
Jovial did not reveal who she was addressing, but the timing of the post led many fans to speculate that it was linked to Otile Brown’s earlier remarks.
KRG the Don Joins the Conversation
Musician and businessman KRG the Don later entered the discussion with a lengthy post on his Instagram Stories, appearing to defend Jovial while criticising what he described as a pattern of limiting other artistes’ opportunities.
“He has never wanted you to see the success of anyone. They had a song together, but unless the song is uploaded on his platform,” KRG wrote.
He went on to accuse some artistes of holding back collaborations and preventing others from benefiting from shared projects.
“Why agree to do something then sabotage it later? Music is supposed to be timeless. Comedy at all if you believe in your craft,” he added.
KRG’s comments further fueled debate online, with fans sharing different opinions about the claims and the future of the alleged collaboration.
Fans React
The exchange has generated mixed reactions from social media users, with some supporting the artistes involved while others called for the reported song to be released.
Some fans argued that good music should be shared with audiences regardless of personal disagreements.
“Great music deserves an audience,” one user commented.
The artistes involved have not publicly confirmed the details of the alleged collaboration or whether the song will eventually be released.
