Prophet Kanyari Slams Andrew Kibe Over Stevo Simple Boy Remarks: “Who Said You Are Handsome?”

Prophet Victor Kanyari has criticised controversial content creator Andrew Kibe over remarks he made about rapper Stevo Simple Boy, saying no one deserves to be mocked because of their appearance.

Speaking during a recent online broadcast, Kanyari questioned Kibe’s decision to comment on Stevo’s looks and personal life, saying such attacks were unnecessary.

“Mimi nashangaa sana mtu ambaye anaitwa Andrew Kibe. Yeye anasimama kwa social media kutukana Stevo Simple Boy anasema kwamba ako na sura mbaya,” Kanyari said.

The preacher further questioned why anyone would tell another person that they should not have children or a family because of their physical appearance.

“How can you tell a person that ako na sura mbaya? Ati anasema Stevo Simple Boy hafai kuzalisha, ati hafai kuwa na mke,” he added.

Kanyari also challenged Kibe’s own standards of beauty, asking: “Nani aliambia Andrew Kibe yeye ni handsome?”

Kibe’s Stevo Simple Boy Comments Spark Backlash

Kibe’s remarks about Stevo Simple Boy triggered heated reactions online, with many Kenyans accusing him of crossing the line.

The outspoken content creator, known for his controversial takes on celebrities and social issues, faced criticism after comments about Stevo’s appearance and ability to start a family went viral.

Critics argued that public figures should use their platforms responsibly and avoid comments that promote body shaming or personal attacks.

Some social media users supported Kanyari’s response, saying criticism should focus on a person’s actions rather than their looks.

“Kibe should pay for his careless utterances,” one user wrote.

Another simply commented, “Facts.”

Debate Over Online Bullying

The controversy has reignited conversations about cyberbullying, online harassment and the treatment of public figures on social media.

Many Kenyans have called for more respectful digital conversations, noting that disagreements can be expressed without attacking someone’s appearance or dignity.

The debate also highlights the growing responsibility of influencers and content creators who reach millions of people through online platforms.

Neither Andrew Kibe nor Stevo Simple Boy had publicly responded to Kanyari’s latest remarks at the time of publishing.
