Political undertones and a viral moment
During his energetic set, Samidoh led revelers in anti-government chants, injecting a dose of political fervor into the night.
Speaking to the crowd in his native Kikuyu, Samidoh led a political chant, declaring;
“Hii Kenya si ya mtu. Mmeshindwa na muwachane na Gachagua,” which translates to, “This Kenya is not for one person. You have failed, so leave Gachagua alone.”
The crowd roared in approval as he effortlessly transitioned from serious political statements to joyful dancing. A highlight was when the iconic “Kasongo Yeye” by Super Mazembe band filled the venue; Samidoh’s uninhibited dance moves left the audience captivated.
Just days before his return to the country, a video of Samidoh kissing his wife, Edday Nderitu, went viral, setting social media ablaze. This sparked a fan to playfully ask Senator Karen Nyamu on social media if she had seen the clip. Nyamu’s cheeky response hinted at a potential reunion with Samidoh, leaving fans scratching their heads. The pair had publicly broken up in 2024, and Nyamu had recently stated she’d moved on, making her reaction to the viral kiss a hot topic of speculation.

A playful jab and renewed confusion
Fast forward to the homecoming event, Samidoh continued to stir the pot. While performing Salim Junior’s classic song, “Mdosi,” which tells the heartbreaking tale of a man whose money was squandered by three women, Samidoh couldn’t resist a playful jab. The original lyrics mention Fatuma, Nyambura, and Akinyi, who called the singer “mdosi” (boss) when he had money before draining him dry. Samidoh cleverly tweaked the lyrics to include “Nyamu,” much to the amusement of the cheering crowd.
This playful mention of his baby mama only further fueled the ongoing public fascination with Samidoh’s complex personal life, leaving fans wondering what the next chapter might hold.
