Kenya Power has announced a series of planned electricity outages scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025, affecting multiple regions across the country. The interruptions are part of routine maintenance works aimed at improving the stability and reliability of the national grid.

Nairobi Region

  • JKIA Airport Area (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    Affected customers include Mitchell Cotts Group, Swissport Kenya, Transglobal Cargo Centre, Freight Complex, Kenya Bureau of Standards JKIA, Forodha House JKIA, Air Connections Ltd, DHL Global Forwarding, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Four Points Hotel, Global Freight Logistics, Crowne Plaza Nairobi, Kuehne+Nagel Ltd, Air Flo, LSG Sky Chefs, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), NAS, Acceler, Siginon Freight Holdings, Vegro, DB Schenker, AFA-HCD, Barabara Plaza KENHA Headquarters, and adjacent customers.

    Areas to be affected include 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Parklands, Jalam Road, Mwanzi Road, Ring Road, Kusi Lane, Ngao Road, Doctors Park, Acculaser Clinic, Daylight Apartments, Oval Building, King Fisher, City Park Estate, City Park Market, and nearby customers.

Machakos County

  • Mombasa Road Area (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    Businesses and premises set to experience outages include Doshi, Nation Printers, Scania, Gateway Mall, Hilton Garden Inn, Mastermind, Eens Business Park, Quiver, and adjacent customers.

Western Region

  • Kisumu Town (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    Outages will affect Okore Estate, Obunga, Migosi, Lolwe, Uzima University, Kanyamedha, and surrounding areas.

  • Miwani (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    Impacted customers include Keda, Miwani Market, Karebe, Chemase, Kigori Market, Maboyi, Chebsweta, and neighboring communities.

  • Vihiga County – Waluba, Mahanga, Ebwali (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
    Areas affected include Waluka, Stage Matope, Ebwali, Esongolo, Mwitokho, Fisheries, Mahanga, Itabalia, Kisienya, and adjacent customers.

North Eastern Region – Kiambu County

  • Albizzia, Witeithie, Tola (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
