Content creator Malcolm raises concerns over landlords withholding tenants’ deposits

Content creator Malcolm has sparked a conversation about landlords and property agents who allegedly fail to refund rental deposits to tenants after they move out.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Malcolm questioned why some tenants struggle to recover money they paid as security deposits, even after leaving rental properties in good condition.

“Today, we want to solve this issue of landlords or agents taking people’s deposits,” Malcolm said.

Deposits worth thousands

Malcolm highlighted cases involving tenants who lost different amounts of money, mentioning deposits of KSh20,000, KSh15,000 and KSh5,000.

He said some people vacate rental houses without receiving the deposits they paid at the beginning of their tenancy, despite having fulfilled their obligations as tenants.

According to him, tenants should be refunded if they leave the property in the same condition in which they found it.

“You moved out of that house, and you did not do anything. The house is as new as when you entered it,” he said.

“You deserve your money back.”

Frustration over unreturned deposits

The content creator expressed frustration over the issue, noting that deposits often represent money tenants have worked hard to save.

He questioned why some landlords or agents hold onto funds that former tenants are entitled to receive once they leave a property without causing damage.

Malcolm said the issue has become a serious concern for many renters and called for conversations around how such disputes should be handled.

“What should we do, my friend?” he asked. “How can people refuse to give back your hard-earned money?”

His remarks have sparked discussions online, with many tenants sharing their own experiences with rental deposits and calling for fairer practices in the housing sector.

Arnold Malcolm Urges Majembe to Resolve Disputes and Take Vurugu 2 Opportunity

US-based TikTok content creator Arnold Malcolm has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding boxer Majembe and the upcoming Vurugu 2 event, urging the fighter to put aside his concerns and return to the ring.

In a TikTok video shared on Sunday, June 14, 2026, Malcolm said the opportunity was too valuable for Majembe to walk away from, arguing that the financial reward and exposure attached to the fight made it worth reconsidering.

Malcolm Calls for Resolution

His comments come amid reports of disagreements between Majembe and organisers over contractual terms ahead of the highly anticipated bout.

While acknowledging that contract issues may exist, Malcolm said such disagreements are common in business and can be handled through communication and negotiation.

He encouraged both sides to find common ground, saying the event could benefit everyone involved if they reached an agreement.

“Majembe, go back to the fight and take the money. Don’t let that money go. Yes, I know there are problems with the contract. They are usually there. Go and take that money because in the future there is struggling,” Malcolm said.

The content creator added that the matter should not be viewed as a personal conflict but rather as a business arrangement where all parties are trying to benefit.

Questions Over Fan Tips

Malcolm also raised concerns about the issue of tips from supporters, suggesting that Majembe should have direct access to any money fans choose to give him.

He questioned the need for systems that could limit fighters from receiving direct support.

“Obinna, just allow Majembe to be given tips from people. Not that software of tips that’s there. If there are tips, let Majembe get his own tip,” he said.

Despite the concerns, Malcolm maintained that the focus should remain on ensuring the fight happens.

He argued that both Majembe and event organiser Oga Obinna have business interests to protect and should negotiate a solution.

Fight Purse Debate

Malcolm pointed to the reported financial package attached to the fight, saying such an opportunity is rare in Kenyan boxing.

“People should just sit down and agree. A one-hour fight being paid 500,000, even Kenya Boxing Federation has never given boxers such an amount of money,” he stated.

He urged Majembe to consider the bigger picture and avoid missing out on what he described as a major opportunity.

Mbavu Destroyer Joins the Debate

Malcolm’s comments came shortly after fellow boxer Mbavu Destroyer reignited criticism against Majembe, questioning why the fighter appeared hesitant to face Somali Boxer.

Mbavu claimed Majembe’s reluctance to accept the challenge proved his point about the boxer avoiding tough opponents.

“Also, why is he afraid to face the Somali Boxer? That proves my point,” Mbavu said.

The outspoken fighter also challenged Majembe to improve his fitness and prepare properly if the two eventually meet in the ring.

With Vurugu 2 continuing to attract attention online, fans are now waiting to see whether Majembe and organisers will resolve their differences and allow the fight to proceed.

TikTok star Malcolm weighs in on Njugush leaving his wife, Celestine Ndinda

Content creator Malcom has sparked debate online after declaring that he intends to keep his relationship completely private, cautioning against putting love on display for social media.

In a blunt statement that quickly went viral, Malcom warned that relationships should be handled discreetly rather than turned into online content.

“Usiwai eka mapenzi yako kwa ii mtandao. Inabidi shughuli ingine ufanye chini ya maji.”

Timing Linked to Njugush and Celestine Split

His remarks come shortly after the widely discussed separation of Timothy Kimani and Celestine Ndinda.

For years, the couple had built a strong online presence, sharing family moments and comedy skits that endeared them to fans. However, Njugush’s recent confirmation that they had actually split last year surprised many, especially those who had speculated about changes in their relationship.

The revelation reignited a familiar question: does sharing relationships online expose them to pressure, scrutiny, and eventual strain?

Statement Gains Traction Online

Malcom’s message spread rapidly across social platforms, resonating with users due to its direct tone and relatable language.

Mixed Reactions from Netizens

The comments section quickly filled with a mix of humour, agreement, and playful disagreement.

Some users supported his stance, agreeing that relationships are better kept private, while others insisted they would continue sharing their partners online. A section of commenters responded with jokes, teasing, and light-hearted pressure to “show the partner,” while others expressed mock heartbreak or curiosity about how private is too private.

Why More Celebrities Are Going Private

Malcom’s comments reflect a growing trend among public figures who are choosing to keep their relationships off social media. Several factors are driving this shift:

  • Increased pressure from followers to maintain a “perfect” relationship image
  • Constant online criticism and unsolicited opinions
  • Rumours and speculation triggered by minor changes
  • Emotional strain as relationships become content rather than genuine connections

As conversations continue, Malcom’s stance adds to the ongoing debate about privacy, boundaries, and the real cost of sharing personal relationships in the digital age.
