Kenyan media personality Azziad Nasenya has once again found herself in the spotlight, but this time for reasons beyond her vibrant content creation and entertainment career. Recent allegations of unpaid debts have swirled around her, leading to a public discourse on financial responsibility among public figures.
The saga began earlier in 2025 when blogger Edgar Obare brought to light claims from anonymous sources accusing Azziad of borrowing significant sums and failing to repay them. These accusations painted a picture of a lifestyle possibly maintained through borrowed money that was not returned, casting a shadow over her public persona. The allegations involved sums reportedly in the hundreds of thousands of Kenyan shillings, with one specific instance highlighting a debt of Ksh 300,000 to a person named Mary Musyoka.
Azziad, known for her engaging social media presence and positive public image, had initially remained silent on the matter. However, recent developments suggest a resolution might be in sight. Posts circulating on X (formerly Twitter) indicate that Azziad’s debts, totaling around Ksh 3 million, have been settled by an unnamed benefactor, referred to in some posts as a “good Samaritan.” This gesture has sparked various reactions on social media, with some users questioning the motives behind such a generous act while others debated the ethics of public debt shaming.
