Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has confirmed that indeed rapper Jackson Ngechu Kimotho Makini aka Prezzo will be contenting for the Kibra political seat on a Wiper ticket.

This was announced earlier making it public that Prezzo was Wiper’s candidate for the Kibra by-election slated for November 7.

Speaking during the press conference, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka expressed his confidence in the young man saying he had the potential to become a leader.

Saturday evening, the 7th of September 2019 Jamaican King Konshens’ much anticipated concert went down at the Ngong Racecourse, but it was like no other.

The much-awaited Jamaican sensation finally gave into Kenyan fans’ demands and decided to stage a world-class performance once more before the year cuts off.

A performance he staged alongside street music hit makers, Sailors, Nviiri the Storyteller, Bensoul, Ochungulo family, genge group The Kansoul and BeyT, who never disappointed.

Ethic came in as the last local act before the ‘Bruk-Off’ hitmaker took stage at around 2 AM.

Well, being a heartthrob among the ladies, not just for his looks but his music too, we all expected him to stage a raunchy performance and he sure nailed it!

Probably the raunchiest performance ever staged in Kenya, in recent times. A performance whose higher audience percentage were youths in their mid-20s.

Lately Chipukeezy and his girlfriend seem to be maintaining a low profiled life as they no longer post lovey doves posts on Instagram like they used to before.

Not quite sure why – but they could both be caught up with work or prefer to lay low now that their relationship is getting more serious.

Harmonize weds lover, Sarah in colorful Islam-themed wedding. No WCB member in attendance! [photos]

Wonders will never seize and Harmonize has just proven that. First, he left WCB. Second, he dropped his new controversial jam ‘Inabana’ and now, he has said “I Do” to longtime Italian girlfriend, Sarah.

On Saturday, Harmonize’s colorful wedding ceremony went down in Dar es Salaam just months after proposing to his Italian lover, Sarah Michelotti back in Italy.

Later on, Harmonize serenaded his now wife, Sarah with a romantic song. She got overwhelmed with emotions and all she could do was let the tears flow.

The event was additionally graced with a white chariot that gave the newly weds a moment of a lifetime.

The flashy wedding was Islam-based with only exclusive guests in attendance at their wedding reception held at Serena Hotel in Dar-es-Salaam.

Close family members and friends were present to witness the solemnization of vows between Harmonize and Sarah.

Though, we ought to note that, the longtime lovebirds had earlier on declared their vows to each other at the Attorney General’s chambers due to their different faiths.

Harmonize was Muslim while Sarah professed the Christian faith. So their Islam-based wedding took place only after Sarah converted to Muslim.

However, the gist of the matter comes in because apparently no WCB member was in attendance. And I mean NO ONE. Even Platnumz himself.

Whether none of them was invited. Or yes, they were invited but turned down the invitation, is the question at hand.

Ex-WCB signee, Rich Movoko was the first to exit the Diamond-owned record label but is he now applauding Harmonize for following in his footsteps?

When Rich Mavoko left Wasafi, masses believed he was lost and the one with the problem but it is after Harmonize left the same label that it has dawned on fans that something is not cooking right.

Rich Mavoko made his recent song release ‘Babilon’ that seemingly is a dedication to fellow ex-signee, Harmonize.

However, he strongly refutes the claims airing:

I had already recorded that song and I didn’t know the timing of the song went hand-in-hand with Harmonize leaving WCB. I gave people the song but they wrote a caption to it. It’s all about the fans’ comments because I do read them. The song is generally about life.

The ‘Usizuge’ singer spoke in regard to Konde Boy’s untimely exit, but selective of his words.

I respect Harmonize’s decision. I can’t say more about it.

However, whether in denial or not, Rich Mavoko’s new jam is slamming his former label, WCB.

Billnass clarifies on his relationship with bongo songbird, Nandy

Tanzanian hip-hop artist, Billnass and bongo sultry songbird, Nandy, have time and again been quizzed about the relationship.

The two were an item for a couple of years before their split in 2017. A relationship that the public was not aware about until days into their breakup.

However, in a recent interview, the bongo artist opened up on dating Nandy soon after their new romantic music release dubbed ‘Bugana’.

Exclusively speaking to ‘Over Ze Weekend,’ Billnass clarified that the two are not back to together, rather good friends in a professional relationship.

Political consequences? DJ Kriss Darlin slapped with a termination letter by NTV

Reggae DJ Kriss Darlin seems to be paying the price of his political ambitions after NTV showed him the exit.

The media personality last week expressed a strong interest in taking over the currently vacant Kibra parliamentary seat.

He went ahead to cause uproar after kneeling before ODM party leader, Raila Odinga in a bid to seek endorsement to run under the party’s ticket.

And incident that has since then gone viral.

Unfortunately, there might have been a couple of items he failed to take note of prior to his political bid announcement.

And one of them is his source of income. The disk jockey was on a contractual agreement with NTV, something that should have struck him before he went public.

So now, according to the head of production and programming of NTV, Julius Tharao, Kriss Darlin’s active participation in politics goes against the editorial policy.

Further adding that the decision to terminate his contract was a mutual agreement between the two parties.

However, that does not mean that is how he will exit the Nation Media Group owned station. The DJ will enjoy the privilege of hosting 2 more shows before his exit, to bid his fans goodbye in a more noble way.

Kris has made his decision that he is getting into politics and as per the editorial policy, he left us with no choice but to terminate his contract as the host of the Jam Rock Reggae Show. This decision was mutual between both parties. We wish him well in his future endeavors. He will, however, host two more shows to bid the fans bye.

It now clocks roughly 2 years since Wezdom’s exit from the Eastlands Most Beloved label but he is apparently back.

However, this is his defense:

It’s a personal decision because he is a person who mentored me, there is no way I can give my story without him being mentioned. It reached a time and I thought of how I had been attacking him.

Regrets

Unfortunately, it struck him a bit too late after his exit and myriad accusations that a coin always has two sides.

Not even once had I told people of all the good things he had done for me. God is the one who decided where our lives will go. You might be here now but you don’t know where you will be in the next 5 years so asking for forgiveness is a step of life.

Therefore, he had to hand in his plea of forgiveness to the EMB CEO before his return.

I am the one who asked for forgiveness, my friends, my pastor, my mum has been helped by him at some point so she takes him as his son. People told me to stop bashing Bahati in the media. They told me Bahati has God’s anointing and my destiny was intertwined with his.

It’s embarrassing for a man to ask another man for forgiveness but I decided to humble myself given that Bahati is my musical father. EMB records is home and Bahati is my brother.
