Kenyan gospel musician, Papa Dennis narrates his tough childhood that forced him to do menial jobs to support his siblings.

Through his music, the youthful artist shares his life story, a story whose parts speak about his past hardships and what couple of people are still going through as we speak.

In an exclusive one-on-one with Mpasho, Papa Dennis explains how through his childhood experiences, he is able to connect with those currently facing similar times.

Wabebe song is just a prayer. It talks about orphans and the challenges they face and also the hardships we go through every day including those behind bars.

Dennis Mwangi alias Papa Dennis was orphaned at a young age, forcing him to drop out of school and do menial jobs just to fend for his siblings.

I used to sell charcoal. Hawk groundnuts in bus terminus, plough for 10 bob, was employed as a cattle herder, and also used to harvest maize and got paid Kshs 15 per sack.

However, he once had to face the cruel prison walls, spending a night behind bars.

I was at the right place at the wrong time. I used to work at a video show shop and one day the business was open till late and that’s how the police arrested me.

So Ringtone is now being accused of neglecting his own daughter despite his baby mama reaching out to him.

According to the lady, Ringtone started being active in his daughter’s life after exposing him through Xtian Dela’s social media pages; but thanks to Ringtones influence the gospel singer convinced his baby mama to settle this outside court. She went on saying;

Two days after posting about Ringtone Kenyan gospel artist neglecting our child through Xtian Dela platform, Ringtone called me begging me we settle this outside court and I agreed.We had a meeting and agreed how he will make the payment, he remitted 3months then stopped.

After 3 months of cooperating, Ringtone apparently started getting slippery as he stopped giving child support.

With this, the baby mama decided to withdrew from the ‘outside court settlement’ and decided to have him meet her in court in order for the lawyers to reach an agreement. She went on to add saying;

I noticed something is quit wrong I went back to court and withdrew my lawyers services and the magistrate had a look at the warrant and said go execute this warrant it’s still valid.I went to OCS runda told her I was from court and I was told this warrant should be executed, she said I can’t arrest him because he doesn’t stay here but Karen. I left but did my own investigations ,he was tracked and the location was ridgeways kiambu road.

Adding;

it was indicated that from his locations he moves within kiambu rd and ruiru.So I went to internal affairs upper hill I was given a letter to deliver to OCS runda, but she didn’t sign it . later I was advised to see the OCPD gigiri but I ended up in internal affairs where the OCS was asked to reply to the letter then I deliver still waiting.

Ringtone’s daughter kicked out of school

With the national examinations around the corner, Ringtone’s baby mama says that their daughter will not be able to sit for the exams due to fee balance which is unfortunate since the gospel singer can afford to pay her fees.

 

 

on 16th my child should sit for national exam but she can’t till I clear school fee. My day today hustle isn’t enough to cater for all baby needs, after a long day I can’t even sleep well wondering about tomorrow.school fee balance, rent arrears calls now and then, and food is what goes on my mind everyday and night. I don’t want my daughter to miss her exams, Ringtone for once man up and pay school fee like we agreed.Anytime you don’t remitted you come up with irrelevant excuses like DNA, I created time for DNA test but you didn’t show up

Lastly, the baby mama had a few words to Ringtone where she concluded by saying;

 

Ringtone I just have one question for you, does guilt hunt you ?you have denied your own child thousand times, you ask for DNA but never show up instead you send cash to me to forget and calm down. why do you even send cash if you don’t believe the child is yours.

NTV’s Jamrock Reggae Show will be remembered for its main host, DJ Kriss Darlin who had to call it quits ahead of his Kibra parliamentary seat bid.

According to the Nation Media’s editorial policy, the Reggae DJ had to exit, having shown interest in politics.

However , NTV allowed him to air 2 shows before his exit in order to bid his fans goodbye in a better manner.

Which he did and has now left. Leaving behind a vacant position that ought to be filled and Miss Katiwa suited as his replacement.

“Martha hana mtoto na Mbosso!” The late comedian’s sister shocks many after this confession

Mbosso is undeniably going through a hard time after the death of his baby mama, Comedian Martha.

He went on to mourn her through his Instagram page where he posted a lost post expressing his pain.

In the same post we also learnt that Martha and Mbosso have a child together but had decided to keep the baby on the low until just recently. Mbosso wrote saying;

Apparently Martha had just been staying with her relatives children since she had never conceived.

Seems netizens have had enough of the myriad games of chess the political class is now playing. It can easily stress one out, when you think of it.

You lay done to rest in the night with a particular political agenda set by our leaders and following morning, tables have turned. How? or even when they were turned is a mystery.

For the past few days most Bongo tabloids have been linking Diamond Platnumz to Lulu Diva who is also said to be pregnant for the singer.

Apparently Diamond Platnumz allegedly impregnated the singer after their short affair but is now afraid that this might ruin things between him and Tanasha Donna.

Speaking to NTV’s show host, Dr King’ori the ‘Kitoko’ singer revealed that despite having ventured into the lucrative music industry, she ensured she completed her University studies first.

I stuck with my education to the end, living in a servant quarter with my younger brother, but made sure I got my degree.

Uganda-Kenya BFF’s since time immemorial, are Boss Ladies Zari Hassan and Akothee. The two have been pretty tight with a friendship none of us seems to fathom.

Even though they share couple similarities, theirs is just at another level. Well, unfortunately, recent speculations are that the two women of power are no longer in good terms.

Vocal radio presenter, Andrew Kibe has blasted fake friends who deserted him thinking he was jobless and quickly ran back after he secured a job.

The former NRG radio presenter and his co-host, Kamene Goro were slapped with a court order to stay away from the mic until their pending court case concerning their exit from NRG was settled.

This saw the duo stay off work for couple months that did not blend well with their much hyped entry in KISS 100.

Singer Mbosso must be going through a hard time now that one of his baby mamas, Martha passed on earlier yesterday.

From the stories making rounds on social media is that the late Martha started complaining about a headache before her untimely death.

Jamaican dancehall King, Konshens last week did not have his best moments after a divorce with his wife, Latoya Wright.

His wife publicly announced their divorce on social media confirming that Konshens is now a free man to be with whoever and do what he wants.

The lady announced this through her Instagram page where she denied having welcomed her son at Aga Khan hospital as alleged by one Bongo gossip tabloid, the originaleast.

According to Tanasha, the photo of the baby said to be hers is false. She wrote saying;

Eric and Fred Omondi have a brother that masses were never acquainted to. Unfortunately, we are talking of their late brother.

It happens that the 2 Kenyan comedy acts had a brother who passed on within hours of being discovered alive but heavily addicted.

During an interview on Tuesday the 10th of September, Fred opened up:

The last time Eric saw him was two years before he died, and was called to a lodging where our brother had OD’d, and sadly died in the room in that lodging.

His family was tipped off about his location in downtown and Eric asked the person on the other end to ensure his brother did not leave and was at his best comfort.

Fred adds:

The same night is when he died when Eric was going to pick him up to take him to hospital. After confirming and leaving to make hospital arrangements, he found him dead.

Unfortunately, the family’s efforts to help him out of his addiction, proved futile because he kept running away.

Fred recalls:

It’s been 1 year since his death, we went through a lot, this is somebody we didn’t spend time growing up with, he would disappear coz of mihadarati, so from high school he would disappear, and my dad being a policeman would look for him and find him, and he would disappear again, and we would miss him. It affected Eric and my sister a lot.

It’s a good lesson. I am a witness that if you have the chance to stop this kind of life, stop it….

Kenya’s upcoming gospel artist, MCK Official has stirred controversy after coming out to voice his support for the ‘illegal’ LGBT groups in Kenya.

The musician has publicly addressed gay rights also lending his support to the currently marginalized community within the Kenyan borders.

In an exclusive interview with creative producer, Xtian Dela via his You Tube channel, MCK Official opened up on his motivation for the diehard support he is giving the LGBT community.

The controversial artiste explains having settled on his decision to support gay rights, with motivation from his gay friend’s horrible experiences in Kenya.

According to MCK Official, it is quite hypocritical for Christians to claim their love for each other, yet fail to embrace homosexuals.

Adding that there are times when homosexuals are even chased from churches. His next move is this:

KBL expands innovation pipeline with new Sikera Premium Apple Cider

Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has launched a new alcoholic beverage – Sikera Premium Apple Cider. The innovation is a distinctly light and refreshing, premium drink delivering a perfectly balanced for a drinking experience.

A cider is an alcoholic beverage typically made from crushed apples. Available from today in bars and restaurants – and best served chilled – Sikera Premium Apple Cider comes in a 300ml bottle pack with an Alcohol by Volume (ABV) of 4.5 percent and at a recommended price (RRP) of Kshs 150.

Speaking at the launch event in Mombasa, KBL Managing Director Mrs. Jane Karuku said KBL’s twin desire of recruiting new consumers and responding to their changing tastes and preferences led to the development of the innovation.

“The launch of Sikera Premium Apple Cider today, follows the hugely successful introduction of Kenya’s first locally-produced cider, Tusker Premium Cider three years ago. Sikera’s launch is the result a recently-conducted consumer study on the trends driving the alcohol beverage market in our industry. These consumer insights then informed our innovation efforts extending our cider category, to provide a broader variety to our consumers.”

Mrs Karuku added

“This new brand is geared to supporting our business agenda to accelerate growth in our innovation, which has enabled KBL to both recruit new consumers as well as provide a wider variety from around which consumers can build their drinking repertoire.”

EABL Marketing and Innovations Director Graham Villiers-Tuthill, reinforced that Sikera Premium Apple Cider entry into the company’s agenda is to connect with an ever-evolving consumer base through flavoured offerings. Villiers-Tuthill said,

News has surfaced that Weezdom’s step mother tragically passed away Wednesday morning (Sept. 11) after her long battle with cancer.

Diamond is a busy guy and while people are busy trolling him for missing Harmonize’s wedding, he was busy making killer performances in Berlin, Germany.

The Wasafi President was on Saturday in Germany’s capital, Berlin where he set fans on fire with his popular Bongo anthems.

Soon after landing in Berlin, he was cordially received by netizens whose love for him was overwhelming.

In East Africa, Simba is acknowledged as the best live performer across the region and he confirmed the same while in Germany.

But that’s not all. Diamond walked away in tears, not because he did not measure up, but because the love was just too massive for his eyes to hold back the tears.

The rift drawn between Harmonize and Diamond for the last few months has given fans the conclusion that the two are no longer in talking terms.

One major reason to the speculations being Diamond’s failure to honor Harmonize’s wedding invitation by failing to show up at the occasion.

Sauti Sol’s Bien is rumored to be dating Nigerian Afropop singer, Yemi Alade, and has now opened up on their kind of marriage.

Up and close with Tanzania’s Clouds FM, Bien did not entirely deny the rumors articulating that in one way or another, it’s like he has married Yemi.

Bongo sensation, Nandy has admitted that she did get pregnant for her ex-lover, Bill Nass.

The Tanzanian songstress confessed that she got pregnant for the rapper while they were still dating.

In an exclusive interview with ‘Times FM’, the Kiza Kinene singer revealed that she conceived but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage days later.

Adding that she was super excited to soon be a mother but seems the medicines, her then boyfriend, Bill Nass bought for her, led her to suffer a miscarriage.

Well, I will not dwell on that but yes I was pregnant for him but I suffered a miscarriage. He brought me some medicines which I took and they led to my miscarriage.

Sadly, the sultry singer noted that Bill Nas might have intentionally bought the medicines for the effect but it’s the past and she has forgiven him.
