Mosiria offers bounty for the capture of woman who scalded and robbed her boyfriend

Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi County’s officer in charge of Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, has issued a public appeal seeking help to trace a woman accused of carrying out a violent assault and robbery.

In a notice shared on social media, Mosiria identified the suspect as Gladwel Kagai, who is wanted in connection with an alleged attack on Steve Godia.

Cash Reward Announced

To accelerate the investigation, Mosiria announced a reward of KSh 20,000 for credible information that leads to the suspect’s arrest through lawful means.

“If you have any credible information about her whereabouts, please report immediately to the nearest police station. A reward of KSh 20,000 will be offered for verified information that leads to her arrest through lawful channels,” the notice stated.

Allegations of Assault and Theft

According to the statement, Kagai allegedly burned the victim with hot water before fleeing with his two mobile phones.

Mosiria further claimed that during the incident, KSh 318,450 was reportedly transferred to the suspect’s phone, compounding the financial loss suffered by the victim.

The combination of alleged physical violence and theft has triggered an intensified search for the suspect.

Case Reported to Police

The matter was formally reported at Kariobangi South Police Station, but the suspect remains at large.

Mosiria has since turned to social media to broaden the search and encourage members of the public to share any useful information with authorities.

Meanwhile, the victim, Steve Godia, is said to be recovering from injuries sustained during the reported assault.

Call for Public Cooperation

Mosiria urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure the suspect is apprehended and justice is served responsibly.

“Let us cooperate with authorities to ensure justice is served safely and responsibly,” he said, emphasising that any leads should be verified and handled through official channels.
