Kasi Chef

Chicco Twala out to unveil the twitter user claiming he is covering up for Meyiwa murderers

Chicco  Twala has reportedly launched a manhunt for the man behind the parody Twitter account Man’s Not Barry Roux (@AdvBarryRoux), who has accused him of trying to cover up what really happened on the day the late Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa, was murdered.

Meyiwa was shot dead in an alleged house robbery in Vosloorus on October 26 2014.

The Sunday World reports that Twala has hired a team of forensic social media experts to expose the real account holder and report him to police for defaming him and his son Longwe of being involved in the murder.

Earlier this month, @AdvBarryRoux caused frenzy on Twitter after tweeting about the so-called “information” about the case and alleged that Longwe fatally shot Senzo using his father’s gun after an argument over his then girlfriend Zandi Khumalo.

Twala and his son have both publicly denied the allegations.

The Man’s Not Barry Roux Twitter account user also accused Twala of bribing all the witnesses to withhold information from police. Former Gauteng Hawks boss General Shadrack Sibiya denied in a Sunday Independent report today that he took a R1 million bribe from Twala to protect his son.

Taking to Twitter this morning, @AdvBarryRoux stood by his claims and accused Twala and his son of lying to the public. He also accused Sibiya of being corrupt and working with criminals.

“Chicco Twala and his son Longwe Twala are connected and dangerous, I am aware that Chicco Twala is looking for me & he’s knee on getting me arrested. For the What? [sic]”, he tweeted.

Chicco Twala tells his side of the story on Senzo’s death

Chicco Twala has opened up on what happened on the night Senzo died.

The former Bafana Bafana player was killed in 2014 in an alleged robbery at Kelly Khumalo’s family home in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni. No arrests have been made.

Parody account @AdvBarryRoux caused a stir on Twitter last week after claiming that Chicco’s son, Longwe was behind the shooting.

Speaking to Metro FM’s MoFlava and Masechaba Ndlovu, Chicco recalled what happened on that fateful day.

He says Kelly called him, crying.

What Chicco had to say

“I rushed to the house. I found Kelly, Longwe and another childhood friend of Senzo’s. Senzo was lying there. They said two guys came in and wanted to rob them. I don’t want to talk on behalf of Longwe. He’s an adult. I want to talk about my part,” he said.

Chicco is adamant that his gun was not used on the day.

“It wasn’t missing. My firearm is always with me. I got it in 1989 and it is always in my safe.”

He added that if his son was the person who shot Senzo he would have turned him in.

“If Longwe had killed Senzo, I promise you Masechaba, I would be the first person to act. I don’t care. He’s my son. But if he killed Senzo, I would have pushed for him to go to jail. Leave me out of this thing. I wasn’t there.”

He confirmed that police took his gun for ballistic tests after the murder.

“They took my firearm and about four weeks later they said my gun is not the one.”

Senzo’s father, Sam Meyiwa, is convinced that all those who were present in the house are covering up what really happened to his son.

He appeared on Mo and Masechaba’s show several days ago and told the presenters he does not buy the story that his son was killed in a robbery gone wrong.

“There was no such thing as a robbery, the person who killed Senzo is amongst the boys who were at Kelly’s house. The culprit is amongst those boys… The people who were present when my son was shot are causing me so much pain. They know who killed Senzo but they are keeping quiet,” he said during the interview.

Sam hinted that he knows who killed his son.

“…there is someone amongst those boys who killed Senzo. His father paid money to bribe the police so this boy does not get arrested. The thing is I can’t say who the boy is exactly.”

Media reports claimed at the weekend that police are close to making an arrest in the case.

But Sam told eNCA he has not been briefed by police about any developments.

“It’s been four years investigating one case, and no one has been arrested. Instead I’m getting death threats that they want to kill me because I’m the one making noise, and when I’m dead it will be quiet. But I can’t keep quiet.”

Police Minister Fikile Mbalula took to Twitter to confirm that officers are “very hard” to find Senzo’s killers.

“We are working very hard to find Senzo’s killers. If anyone has into please approach saps and ministry by all means necessary (sic),” he  tweeted.
